Assassin Queen
At sixteen Lilavati was banished from her mother’s kingdom by her stepfather. She was the rightful heir, but with the queen carrying a new child she had to choose between exile or death. Instead of facing the executioner, she fled in the middle of the night like a common thief—leaving behind everyone and everything she ever loved, including the dashing knight who’d stolen her young heart, Naresh.
Now, ten years later, Lilavati isn’t the naive, helpless princess she’d once been. Life on the run has hardened her. It’s also given her time to formulate a plan to take back the kingdom that should be hers and access to criminals, assassins, and a ruthless spell-caster named Kirin who can make that plan a reality. If she can keep the sorcerer focused on the goal and not the ill-advised attraction between them, that is. When she hears of her mother’s death, she knows it’s time to act. She will have everything that is rightfully hers. But she’s not the only one that’s changed since her departure. Her once strong kingdom is dying. It needs a savor not a conqueror.
Kirin agreed to work with Lilavati because he enjoys being near the aloof princess. He’s drawn to her confidence and determination. But when she starts using that determination to keep him at a distance, he’s not nearly so fond of the attribute. A promise she made to another ten years ago is keeping her out of his bed. When he discovers her knight in shining armor is married and has kids, though, all bets are off. But no matter how many times he shares her bed, it’s not enough. He’ll have to figure out a way to make the princess surrender her heart. It’s not going to be easy with his reputation. But if he can save her kingdom, he might have a shot.

Слабо. Двушка - это просто от доброты душевной :D
Есть у нас принцесска убийц и ворюг, которая решается свергнуть своего отчима с трона. В помощь ей ее друган , секси-маг, с которым она полкниги (А КНИГА ВСЕГО 80 стр.) кувыркается. А потом будет хоп-хоп и финал XDDD Закрыла книгу и в голове одна мысль "ЧТО ЭТО БЫЛО????". Единственное что расписано в книге - это эротика. Я не ханжа, но пришла за фэнтазюшкой, а не членами и кисками!

This novella length fantasy starts out in intense action as a troop of guardsmen and an assassin princess, with a mage, fight off attackers. The backstory is well told to us in the aftermath of this melee by the exiled princess reminding her troop that she has been running from her stepfather for a decade but now it is time for her to take the throne that has been denied her and take the battle to the traitor.
After that unfortunately it's just alternating fighting with bedroom antics for the rest of the story. Nothing very original or enthralling for me, but if you haven't read as many fantasy quests as I have, you may like it better. I did like that the central character is a woman, the other main character being the male mage. The work shows promise but could do with more imagination and less time wasted.
I received a copy for an unbiased review.

No longer a naïve helpless princess, it’s time for Lilavait to return home and take back what is rightfully hers. Kirin is determined to get Lilly to surrender her heart but first they have a kingdom to save in this spellbinding paranormal fantasy romance.
Forced by her stepfather to flee her home, Lilly is a hardened woman and with a team of assassins by her side is sure that it will be no hardship to take back her Kingdom now that her mother is dead. The characters are strong compelling and demand attention from the very beginning (and really I wouldn’t refuse them if I were you) and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, excitement and passion while the chemistry between Lilly and Kirin burns up the pages and spices up the story with some hot and steamy encounters.
There is never a dull moment as this story starts off with danger and excitement and continues building suspense and anticipation throughout, there is even a magical battle to liven up the action even more. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring this edgy and sexy story to life.
The author has a created a fascinating realm with lots of intriguing sexy characters that ensure the readers will want more and since this one certainly held me captive from beginning to end, I want more.

I love a sexy, kickass, take no prisoners kind of heroine, and Chandra delivers big time. Lilavati is a young, exiled future queen who ends up following a much different road than the one she would've been on. The death of her mother signals the Lily's return. With her band of thieve's, thugs, mercenaries, fellow assassins, and hero mage - Kirin - she's going to reclaim her right in a fantastic epic adventure. This book rocked.

Thanks to God, that was a short book! A waste of my time with the reading. Annoying female main character, stupid conversation between the characters and weak story!

Так себе книга-малышка ни о чем. Все так легко у них, за 5 секунд заполучила трон и можно править. Повелась на фэнтези, а оказалось эротика с паранормальным фоном.

Assassin Queen begins with Lily and her band of assassin's getting attacked. This is normal in her line of work, but this time it was a lot more people than she was expecting. When she finds out about her mother's death, and her step-father sending people after her. She knows she needs to return to reclaim her kingdom. And the mage, and the man who has been in her heart for a while, but she's been trying to deny it because she's been promised to another, isn't so sure going back is a good idea. But he will stand by Lily no matter what happens. And when they head back to her home, and find things are a lot different than expected, Lily and Kirin, must work together while figuring out their feelings for each other along the way.
This book was a pretty quick read with lots of action, sexy times, and major drama. I thoroughly enjoyed the hero and heroine in the story as well. Lily was extremely fierce, and an awesome assassin. And Kirin, was this kick butt mage who was figuring out how to get through to Lily. I truly liked the whole book. It was fast, and action packed!

Неужели героям так сложно остановиться хоть на мгновение и обдумать что вообще происходит. Да, у тебя была трудная судьба, но разве все эти люди заслуживают смерти. Почему не достаточно вечного заключения в камере? Месть же будет гораздо слаще, если продлиться дольше.
Тем не менее, я противоречу сама себе, но мне понравилась героиня своим сильным характером, да и умом тоже. Она годами строила свой план и решительно шла к своей цели.
Да, с любовью они перегнули конечно, но в целом- замечательное произведение. Мог бы получиться по-настоящему увлекательный и целостный роман.
Авторам следует уже найти идеальный баланс между коротенькими историями-рассказами и затянувшимися действиями.

Meh. A lot more sex than I expected, and a much shorter story. Very predictable. But a fun read anyway.
