When you are jetlagged and wide awake at 3 am, art books might be just the thing. I enjoyed flipping through the art cards, and really like the color palatte used. Since I'm no longer a beginner, I didn't love it as much as during my first reading, but there are still some interesting ideas in this deck.

First read in 2012 with a 4 stars rating.

This is not a book per se, rather a stack of cards that prompts you think about how you use your art journal. I own this set, and tend to read through them about twice a year. Have yet to use the notebook, as I prefer to make my own journals. A fun way use creative prompts.

For those who like to write in your journal but need a little creative inspiration. This comes with a little journal and cards to help inspire you to write and create an artistic journal. I have enjoyed going through the cards very much and it has truly helped me with my journal ideas.

While the premise of this book/prompt is great, I think it is quite underdone. There should have been MORE book and ideas for the reader to go along with the prompt cards. Great idea, poor follow through.

I haven't even looked it over completely, but what I've seen I love. I like having some of the work pre-done for me and this way I can get into the journaling part right away and conquer the art techniques later.

There are so many techniques to try and possibilities to explore here that I'm both inspired and almost overwhelmed. Which to try first? Where to begin? I don't know, but I do know I'll likely have fun finding out.

I loved this set. The format is as beautiful as the content.

Read it this year, but also use it to prompt your own work.
Next year, read it again and it will spark a whole new train of thought...

You'll never outgrow this one, buy it!

I wanted to love it. It was OK. Pick a card format. Journalling on what edge? I got 2 by mistake.
