Lisa. D. Smith is a happily married woman and mum to three beautiful daughters.
Writing has been a passion of hers for as long as she was old enough to pick up a pen, and having a book published is a lifelong dream. Unfortunately, for many years, Lisa suffered from severe writer's block, which became increasingly frustrating. So in 2012, she decided to take a step back and give up trying to write for a while.
Always being an avid reader of anything she could get her hands on, Lisa was honoured when she was asked to become a reviewer on the Booky Ramblings of a Neurotic Mom blog. Reading a wider range of books, interacting with authors, writing reviews, and a certain trip to London, led Lisa to participate in NaNoWriMo 2013, and she gives all those things credit for her finally managing to complete her first book.
From Rock Bottom to Skye High is the first book Lisa has managed to complete, and she is extremely proud of it. She hopes that Skye's story is the first of many, many more to come!
Lisa hopes to self publish From Rock Bottom to Skye High in March 2013, and she is currently working on her second book.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed reading this book as I do not normally read books from this genre. It is full of surprises and the twist at the end was completely unexpected! I cannot wait to read the next book to find out what happens to sienna!!
The 2nd book from the amazing Lisa Smith, which I had the great pleasure of beta reading. Totally different from Lisa's debut (From Rock Bottom to Skye High) this was a very brave jump to make in genre but doesn't disappoint.
This book focuses on the life of Sienna, who wakes in a strange hospital with no memory, and the events that unfold as the truth emerges. This book is full of twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of the seat and turning the page wanting to find out what will happen.
I cannot wait to see what the 2nd book in this series will have in store, and how things will turn out for Sienna, and will happily beta for Lisa anytime she needs me.
