As a former student of Korean linguistics, this book took me straight back to the time when we used to cook and experiment with different Korean dishes. Aaron Huh’s cooking methods are straightforward and easy to follow, even for everyday home cooking. I’m sure I’ll come back to this ebook often in my kitchen.

In the introduction, Aaron Huh says upfront that "In my opinion, a cookbook should be practical - not an autobiography." And the entire rest of the book proceeds to stick true to this philosophy. It's nothing but a solid array of delicious-looking, clearly-written and easy-to-follow recipes There's no no novelette-sized personal musings to be found, no filler, just the good stuff. After my first run through, I have already found several recipes that I can't wait to try out, and I'm sure I'll only find more and more with every future read-through.

Admittedly, I only made 4 of these recipes before having to return it to the library. BUT I learned new techniques and got to use an ingredient I'd never heard of--SOO big fan! The Kung Pao was 💯
