I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of the final book in this series, and while it didn't quite meet all my expectations, I found myself enjoying it immensely.
I truly wished this had been longer as I wanted to read more about these characters.
The pacing of the book was notably fast, which contributed to an overwhelming sense of events unfolding simultaneously. We finally uncover the identity of the mastermind behind the chaos and learn who was responsible for the deaths of some characters. I didn’t foresee that particular character being the culprit, and it was a good twist, which made the mystery not so predictable.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this book was the evolving relationship between Nix, Lake, West, and Yejun. I appreciated the healthier dynamics they displayed compared to previous installments. They improved so much, and this book really showed that finally all of them are on equal standing and that the Demons respect and love Nix wholeheartedly.
Nix has undergone significant growth since the first book, emerging as a character who stands tall and confident, and I wholeheartedly adore his development.
Lake, too, has transformed; he has come to understand that expressing emotions is not a sign of weakness, and he has learned to love gently.
West started off as somewhat abrasive, but slowly he learned to show his softer side, particularly in his interactions with Nix. Meanwhile, Yejun holds a special place in my heart; he is undoubtedly my favorite character. His arc for me was the most interesting and his character development really showed how much he matured and learned that his actions have consequences. But I feel that the author missed an opportunity to delve deeper into his backstory and further develop his relationship with Nix. Yejun seemed to be the one who was most sidelined, and I had hoped this book would allow him the spotlight he deserves. While I did enjoy the scenes featuring him, I craved more depth in exploring his relationship with Nix—especially how they made strides toward forgiveness. Although there were glimpses of their evolving bond, I wanted the author to expand more on it.
In conclusion, this book was an enjoyable experience, full of fun and engaging moments, even if it didn’t completely fulfill all my expectations.

Meh. After 3 strong books, I expected book 4 to be more than what we were given. Lots of off page sex and we didn’t even get the June biting/marking Nix on page. WTF. 🤬
I should really change the 3 stars ⭐️ to 2. Ugh. Ok. I did.
Nix, West, June and Lake track down the person who’s been after them this whole time. It is NO surprise who it was. Meh. The plot was all over the place and the end was a mess. Really really disappointed. This could have been a great end to a fantastically dark series but no.

You know what hurts the most?
The fact that this could have been amazing.
Book one and two gave us obsession, tension, emotional damage, chemistry, chaos, angst, and characters who constantly pushed and pulled each other until you were desperate for them to finally get their shit together.
Book three started wobbling.
Book four fell.
And the biggest problem is that somewhere along the way, this stopped being a romance and turned into a detective story.
And after sitting through endless discussions, side characters doing side character things, family drama, conspiracies, meetings, investigations, and more investigations…
The grand reveal is basically:
“Oh. Yeah. The villain who was the villain is actually the main villain .”
Hmmm… did not see that coming and I mean it . As I was sure it will be someone we never thought would be.
So That’s it?
That’s what we were doing all this for?
The frustrating part is that the story already had what it needed.
After everything Nix went through, after everything the boys put him through, this could have been peak romance material.
Give me groveling.
Give me emotional breakdowns.
Give me softness.
Give me healing.
Give me 3 idiots desperately trying to win the love of someone they almost destroyed.
Instead we got conspiracy boards.
And the sexual dynamic also completely lost me.
Look, I know what kind of series I picked up.
I know sharing is literally part of the premise.
That isn’t my complaint.
My complaint is that somewhere the emotional connection disappeared and suddenly scenes started feeling less like romance and more like:
“Who stretched you, was it west ? “ ummm this is distasteful , have some class 🤣🤣
CLF’s strength is never the plot it’s the character building and their chemistry but she insisted to drag us along this journey to try her hand at that 😅
Her strength is dark unhinged characters putting each other through emotional warfare before falling in love.
That is what made books one and two work.
Stick to what you do best, girl.
Because by 85% of book four, I wasn’t all there anymore
I was reading because I had already committed.
Still thankful books one and two existed. They were good fun.
But if I could go back?
I probably would have stopped after the emotional healing arc in middle of book 3 and pretended that was the end.

The final in the series! So much drama, so many betrayals, and so much spice 🥵😎
Not saying much as I don’t want to spoil anything, but expect twists and turns, possessive boyfriends, devious politics, shock revelations, sexy encounters and a whole lot of Nix being a badass! And of course the most perfect ending for these three monsters and their songbird 💕

This was actually terrible. Like truly from an objective standpoint all of this author's works are bad but there's smth fun about them so I keep picking the up but unfortunately this was bad AND boring and Im sad that I read it

3.3ish stars probably
It is a fact well known to me that I do not fare well with reading series. I have a hard time maintaining interest in the same MCs and storyline for that amount of time. Interconnected standalones work well for me but sequential same-couple (or polycule in this case) books almost always lead to me fizzling out before the end - in fact there's several I haven't even finished at all. I'm not sure if that's what this was a victim of or if it just wasn't as entertaining as the others all on its own. Either way it took me much longer to get through this one and the ending wasn't as satisfying as I'd hoped.
I'd still recommend the series for those who are already fans of CLF's work, and are into her particular brand of scifi/mafia lite setting and don't mind noncon between MCs.
Random fact: I was really drawn to these because I thought the covers were beautiful - even the fucking font is cool. And I liked the titles. However, by the end I'm like... who the fuck are these people supposed to be?!? Either my reading comprehension is worse than I thought or the MCs featured on the 2nd and 3rd covers are just wrong. Nix and Lake are blondes so I'm assuming they're 1 and 4 (though which is which idk) but, while I would think Yejun is on the second (because of the vague Asian look and the piercings) his hair is said to be black and up in a bun pretty often meaning his hair should be long. The 3rd cover has someone with long black hair but no facial piercings. West is supposed to have buzzed hair that he changes between shockingly bright colors (like magenta). So who the fuck are these beautiful covers supposed to be showing? Someone set me straight if they know!

SA/rape: This one felt consensual from start to finish between the MCs. There is a scene where Nix is blackmailed/coerced into kissing someone(not one of the guys) but it was only for as long as they could take a picture of it and did not go further than that.
Other person drama: None. Nix asks Yejun and West to run a train on him because Yejun is amenable to bottoming so there is a scene of that and there's also a scene where Lake begins to fuck Yejun without Nix even being there but it's because they want him to find them like that (Nix likes it). The threesome was ok I guess but I didn't like Lake and Yejun having sex without Nix there even if it was said to be for his benefit.

I'm actually kinda disappointed with the conclusion to this series which really surprised me. There are going to be some spoilers in my review so don't read it if you don't want to know.
I still love West, and I actually ended up really liking West, Nix, Yejun and Lake together, but I wanted to shake them at times. I'm glad that Nix ended up with two friends who hadn't drastically betrayed him or tried to harm him also. I also really liked the very last scene and the fast pace and constant action of the book.
Everything else bugged me though!

I hate that Demitrious basically did the least yet was the puppet master. It felt too cliched and obvious to have been him and he didn't have any of the actual skills needed for anything that happened, he just got others to do his bidding because he had money and influence. It just felt a bit anticlimactic?
Beck irritated me to no end. He's still the most suspicious fucking guy in the whole series and I just didn't buy his explanations. They felt like they were shoehorned in to make Demitrious the real bad guy and redeem Beck as some kind of spinless lovesick sap, but it just didn't fit for me. Maybe Beck was too obvious but everything he explained just left me more confused than anything else. The way he just seems to be there everytime something goes wrong and knows about everyone else's plots, yet the Demons are so willing to overlook him and gloss over his part in everything didn't feel in keeping with the way they react to literally everything else! Yejun's brutal assault of Nix for just sharing DNA with Iris was drastic, yet Beck's active role in trying to sabotage West's relationships and friendships and keeping quiet about everything he knew was all peachy? I feel let down that he completely got away with everything he'd been involved in. How can they possibly still trust him or want to be friends with him? Ughhh, so annoying.
I also hate that we didn't get to see Yejun bite Nix, nor did we get to see Nix return any of the bites. I also would have liked some actual story to have happened after the coronation where they're settling in to their new roles. It was fun with all of the build up and the figuring everything out, but where was the reward for four books of rising action? We could have had a Kelevra appearance at the coronation or after but again, nothing happened. Also nothing ever came of the paperwork issue so what was the point in including it?
Fingers crossed I enjoy the next series more.

Sinner is the fourth and final book to the Demons of Foxglove Grove series! It picks up after Saint and continues to unravel the mystery of who is trying to sabotage Lake from taking the throne and who the hacker is who helped Iris poison West. There is mystery and suspense and so much spice and the four being completely on each other’s side! We finally get a resolution to the whole story!
I am so so so so so upset that this story is over!! I just want to go back and read it all for the first time again! I absolutely love every character!
Lake is his perfect, possessive and protective self, that shares with his best friends but acts like a cave man when Nix remembers something another man liked.
West is all in with Nix and finally standing up for himself!
Yejun is back in Nix’s good graces and is not letting anything get in his way of treating Nix the way he should be treated! Love how he’d do anything for Nix.
Nix has come into his own and is so sure about his role and his place with the other three. I like that he stands up for himself and also love how he secretly wants the others to fuck one another as his personal p3rno! 😂😂😂
The ending was satisfying and wrapped up but I am still upset it’s over! I don’t want to leave just yet!!! 🥹

Absolutely fabulous ending
Oh my goodness, what an epic conclusion to this dark love story! If you've not read the other three books you'll definitely need to start there or you'll be totally lost. That being said, this book solves the mystery of the "hacker", reveals the trigger behind the building jumping, and a love lost in time. There plenty of spice and it all ends on a HEA, tied up with a pretty bow. Seriously, check this series out ASAP, you won't regret it! (But, as with any Chani Lynn Feener book, mind the trigger warnings)

omg a truly perfect ending to an AMAZING series! i can't wait to reread this someday - the characters are so well built and the plot is intricate and well thought out and well written. a stellar read 💜💜💜💜

I love Lake and West and Yejun and Nix 🖤
I've been so feral for this book waiting for it to come out for a 100 years and it's finally here! I'm so happy!!! I was dying to know who the bad guy was. It's satisfying to see them get their comeuppance.
This book is so good! I'm pretty sure I swooned like a damsel for some of it. I feel like Nix is such a badass in this book. He's leveled up so much. I love how the relationship between the four of them has grown. Their possessiveness of Nix and his of them is sexy. They're so perfect together.
I loved the part where they all get together. I was already giggling because West and Lake were having a sleepover and then I melted when Nix squooshed between them. That was adorable. Plus they're so hot together. 🥵

Overall this series was super enjoyable and entertaining. It was my first proper "Why choose?" romance and I'm grateful for this, because the relationships between all four characters were believable and special. The characters developed in unexpected ways, which kept it exciting.
It would have been a higher rating if not for two big issues I still have with it:
1) The Yejun storyline.
I don't feel like it was handled well. In the end I also thought "dude, the coffee table wasn't at fault?" Nix and the others truly projected their negative feelings on furniture....?
But the reason why I couldn't let it pass is that I genuinely felt more traumatized by what happened than Nix himself! Oh, you still like him? So what?! It was sad that this storyline was crammed so much, because it could have been good.
Even Yejun himself has a moment of lucidity and asks Lake if Nix would ever forgive him. But Yejun could have killed him! Are they kids? Don't they know what this means? Why was the only one who took this seriously West? Which btw made him the most nuanced, complex and best character out of the three.
Yeah, no. Nix might forgive him but I won't.
Yejun is still a compelling character on his own but it simply missed the mark for me here.
2) The reveal
So... nothing really happened in this book plot-wise, the characters didn't have true obstacles and it got worse when we finally got the reveal of who was behind all this, the spider web, the evil person responsible for so many deaths.
Oh... Oh, him? Oh...
So, there was in fact no build up with a certain important side character up to this point? A character they were friends with and who would have been a truly dangerous mastermind to go against? Someone nobody would have suspected?
No? Oh, okay, I guess. If you say so.
Surely making the already unlikable old man character the villain was not planned since the beginning. I don't believe this for one second. I refuse to.
The character who should have been the real deal turned out to be a scorned lover and a whimp, and it felt like someone pointing at me going "haha you fool! I tricked you!".
So yeah, this series could have easily been one of my favorites but the personal enjoyment was taken down by both.

I was so excited to finish this last book in the Phoenix Monroe story about three possessive devils and the shadowy assassin pulling strings of the powerful. Overall this is still dark, not quite as dark as earlier installments, but if you made it to book four you knew what you were signing up for. There is a fair amount of spice (it seems that’s how our boy Nix processes) so Lake, West, and Yejun all participate. But it is finally getting to the bottom of who the big bad is that rates this as 5 stars (weirdly I guessed wrong but huzzah to our intrepid author for that). I like these space romances filled with morally grey if not outright bad guys and their objects of obsession/love. (Some of the Vitality series is on a perpetual reread list). It’s nice that this series is longer and about the same four guys because it allows for more detail and plotting. All in all this has a satisfying ending.

Best read of the year.
This series has been such an amazing discovery. These three demons completely stole my heart — Lake, with his “cold” attitude but always being so soft with Nix; West, surprisingly the most understanding and gentle one with his Nixie; and Yejun, who… god, my feelings for him are all over the place. He was my favorite from the very first book, but then that happened, and my perception of him changed so much. It took a while to see him the same way again, and even though I never fully forgave him, I loved seeing his genuine remorse.
I would’ve loved to read about the moment Yejun marked Nix and how their lives would’ve been with Lake as the Imperial.
Definitely a 5-star read for me.

This is one of my favorite series so the second this book came out, I rushed and picked it up. I then proceeded to read it in one sitting. I loved every second of this.
I want infinite more pages with Nix, West, Lake and Yejun. I want thousands. I want more books. But this ended very well, wrapped up with a bow. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I finished this in one night. My heart is so sad, realizing I had delayed reading this because I didn't want to say goodbye to these characters. And yet, here I am. I finished it. In. One. Night. There’s a gentle ache of "why?"… they are so precious to me, and saying them goodbye hurts.
At the same time, I hold a deep, warm happiness for having experienced such a masterpiece. I don't recall how I first discovered Fenner, but I feel a sense of blessing from the universe for finding her art and allowing myself to be completely consumed by it. Thank you, Fenner.
I will admit, I usually only glance at trigger warnings, as I wish to avoid spoilers. It was with this open-heartedness that I came across Fenner’s apology, written for those who seem to have a problem with her some way of writing. This stung deeply. I'm so angry that anyone could make an artist feel sorry for their own voice.
Fenner, my love, I love your writing, exactly as it is. I love the worlds you build, the characters you give birth to, the stories you conceive, and the visuals you articulate so powerfully that I forget I am reading and become completely immersed, as if I am there alongside everyone. Your writing feels like home. You are the goddess of the worlds you build. If anyone ever makes you feel sorry for your creation, please know that I am ready to stand for you. I have a fierce protectiveness over your writing, as possessive of it as Lake is of Nix.
Now, turning my attention to the book—to this series:

Nix is such a sassy,smart little babygirl. I adore him so deeply. He went through so much, and his growth felt so authentic and well-written. It was true character development, not just him but our three demons too, and I am in awe.
The book was fast paced - and a bit confusing at times but it fall into place slowly at the end. Also never expected him to be the one who plotted all this chaos at all. That was really shocking.
Also,I was expecting Beck to be the villain at the end, but he was after all a good person - as told to us from the beginning. But as it was written in the book 'They could be here forever trying to figure out if he was being honest or not...' - also loved nixie threating Beck, that was so hot, i almost lost my footing. Ending was really satisfying but ....
Well, if it is not too much to ask, could we perhaps have some extras? I think I have not had my fill of them. I would love just a little more—anything. Perhaps simply seeing them living their lives after Lake becomes emperor, or learning how they each pursue the dreams they held—Nix’s dream of working in a company, and the dreams of all the others. I want to know about their journeys. Ah, I, it's so difficult for me to let go.
Thank you, Fenner, once again, for writing the way you do. I wouldn't want it any other way. Your work brings profound joy into my life. Please do not apologize for your writing, even with its perceived flaws. I love it all so much, because it is those very qualities that make it so beautiful and real. I send you love and gratitude. I want to say this book finished out the series perfectly, and in some ways it did, but not 100%. So first of all, great book. Great series. Well written. After every single book, I couldn't wait for the next. And knowing this was the last book, I just felt like things needed to be more rounded out.
The twists and turns and betrayals and the whodunnits were perfect, phenomenal, on point. BUT the romance 😭. We hardly get to have them all in the same room. There were a few good conversations between Nix and each of the demons but I still feel like it wasn't enough. It wasn't deep enough. Something. And I will die on this hill.......how dare she not write out Yejun giving Nix his claiming bite. At this point I don't even know if Yejun and Nix like each other. After going through the whole third book of Nix being skittish around Yejun, we deserved them having some sort of ott romantic moments in this book. I was WAITING for the end of this book because I just KNEW he was finally going to claim Nix by the end. But NOPE. I have said this about many of Chani's books but....if we could've had like 100 more pages...
All that aside, I did still love this book. I enjoyed the plotting and the mystery of everything. It makes sense that it was wests dad. I'm sure we all thought that at one point or another but I was pretty convinced it was Hendrix. I never thought for a moment that Beck was being shady. Oh, I loved that we got to read all the messages between Branwen and Juri and Dew and Beck. I really liked how all of that unfolded. It somehow made me really like Beck a lot more. I think I'm just a sucker for the professor-student trope.
It makes sense that the whole hail Mary plan happened at the Haunt but at the same time I was thinking it wasn't going to happen then because there was so much build up to this night and all of the demons getting to have their way with Nix in a fun setting. So maybe slightly disappointed that it didn't get to play out like that. But on the other hand we got that delicious scene with Lake and Yejun 🫠 so, worth it.
In my opinion, the romance took a back seat and ultimately, I'm here for the romance. So that's really my only complaint about it. I mean really....we deserved to see that claiming bite in real time especially after everything June and Nix went through in Saint...I will always be upset about that.

Just finished up reading the series. First of goddamn so many twists and turns with lots of interesting MCs. I actually enjoyed this alot because not only MC Aka Nix was so intelligent and quick witted but he can also hold his ground ,his character is really fresh breat of air.
Imma comment on all them so hope it's okay ?
Lake : Our imperial aka maestro
His character was well written with prevalent flaws which he was quite accepting of ,like he didn't tried to deflect his wrong doings. I will still call a spade a spade cuz wtf he literally trapped Nix in the beginning,it was quite traumatizing to see how he was so bent on making Nix his . Like who tf bite a person but I can also understand the reasoning. So all in all I like him .
West aka hellhound: He is my fav ml from all three . I know his behaviour was not right in the start but he did make it up for that . He is really sweet acc to me. He has emotional intelligence which he actually uses . I love him so much . Man his father was such a trash .
Yejun: He was literally a surprise bcuz he did the most dance acc to me . Like the punishment was over the top but I have read worse than it . Not justified behaviour at all . But he has some pros too , I liked that he realised his fault and give Nix fair chance to how he wants things to go like . Which I like bcuz not many ml do that .
Nix: My damn best boy ,got literally tricked by his cousin whom he loved so much that he unended his life for her. He is sensible , inteligent and can adapt to anything which is quite bad for him literally. But he did make good of his given circumstances,he came around everything. I'm so glad that grady was a real friend to him . So happy that he has three people who loves him alot .
The plot talk : I actually doubted beck and juri but I didn't expected to find beck's relationship with obsessive one side love aka student Dew . Everything was so crazy i couldn't believe why I didn't suspected Damentrious first like I knew he is bad not like this . Loved beck got what's back and helped him .

🦊 «Sinner», es el cuarto y último libro de la saga «The Demons of FoxLove Grove». Es un Dark Romance ambientado en otros planetas. Que nos presenta una historia Boys Love con M/M/M/ M llena de 🚩🚩🚩, así que aunque se disfruta un montón lean las advertencias.
🦊No es un secreto para nadie que me siga que está saga fue mi obsesión durante dos años y esperé muchísimo el final, pero tengo emociones muy contradictorias😓
🦊La saga en términos generales es un 5/5
Lo tenía todo para ser una maravilla, personajes bien construidos y una trama que iba más allá del Spicy y del Romance. El misterio y la tensión eran para jalarse los pelos🤩y me tenía en tensión entre un libro y otro🤤
🦊Ahora, cayendo en este último libro. Si hay algo bueno que tengo que sacar es ver la evolución de los personajes. Avanza enormemente de como iniciaron a como están ahora. Ver a Nix como uno más de los demonios. Una pareja oficial que tiene voz y carácter fue una maravilla. Quizás por esa misma evolución es que siento que el resto de quedó muy cojo.
🦊Me hubiese encantado ver más de ellos como pareja, juntos dado que por fin los cuatro se aceptaban a un nivel que los propios demonios iniciales no esperaban. Así que el hecho de que la autora cortará tanto sus escenas como pareja fue frustrante. También me quedé con ganas de ver el reclamo de Yejun🥹
🦊Pero en términos generales del libro, siento que el ritmo fue demasiado rápido. Incluyendo el misterio y los sucesos, todo ocurría con un parpadeo y yo me quedaba en plan «Pero aquí que ha pasa'o»🤯 así que me hubiera gustado ver más todo ese desarrollo y no solo sentir que había que darle un cierre a la historia apurado

🦊 «Sinner», es el cuarto y último libro de la saga «The Demons of FoxLove Grove». Es un Dark Romance ambientado en otros planetas. Que nos presenta una historia Boys Love con M/M/M/ M llena de 🚩🚩🚩, así que aunque se disfruta un montón lean las advertencias.
🦊No es un secreto para nadie que me siga que está saga fue mi obsesión durante dos años y esperé muchísimo el final, pero tengo emociones muy contradictorias😓
🦊La saga en términos generales es un 5/5
Lo tenía todo para ser una maravilla, personajes bien construidos y una trama que iba más allá del Spicy y del Romance. El misterio y la tensión eran para jalarse los pelos🤩y me tenía en tensión entre un libro y otro🤤
🦊Ahora, cayendo en este último libro. Si hay algo bueno que tengo que sacar es ver la evolución de los personajes. Avanza enormemente de como iniciaron a como están ahora. Ver a Nix como uno más de los demonios. Una pareja oficial que tiene voz y carácter fue una maravilla. Quizás por esa misma evolución es que siento que el resto de quedó muy cojo.
🦊Me hubiese encantado ver más de ellos como pareja, juntos dado que por fin los cuatro se aceptaban a un nivel que los propios demonios iniciales no esperaban. Así que el hecho de que la autora cortará tanto sus escenas como pareja fue frustrante. También me quedé con ganas de ver el reclamo de Yejun🥹
🦊Pero en términos generales del libro, siento que el ritmo fue demasiado rápido. Incluyendo el misterio y los sucesos, todo ocurría con un parpadeo y yo me quedaba en plan «Pero aquí que ha pasa'o»🤯 así que me hubiera gustado ver más todo ese desarrollo y no solo sentir que había que darle un cierre a la historia apurado
🦊Aun así, la saga tiene a algunos de mis personajes preferidos de la autora que es de mis preferidas del Dark Romance BoysLove. Quería más de este libro, pos sí, pero ame la saga

WARNING: Spoilers ahead. There were good parts: Nix got to do what he does best: deduct and find out stuff - but West was sadly no longer present on the hacking front. Overall I was disappointed because what made the books so good sort of got diminished. I expected - for example - Yejun's family especially the harsh mother getting some pages with perhaps a foiled attempt of forced marriage that would have allowed Yejun to step up as Nix's partner and in addition really his own signature with his art. And Lake's friends from Vitality???? I mean we all waited for Kelevra Diar with Rin making some observations and spice up things. And perhaps Rabbit - with Baikal obviously, coming for a concert at the coronation. The whole dynamic changed and the mystery of who wanted to stop Lake to become emperor did not support the story enough. It's wasn't interesting because there was no strong dark force but rather very dull baddies. The one we ALL must have thought "was it" (admit it!!) peters out as well. The mysterious lover or non-lover of Branwen? Meh. Ah well. I am just so sad that all the fireworks I wanted to happen - and they do happen in Chani's books were non starters. I wish she would it all again, or another sequel where Lake's friends from Vitality spice things up and where Yejun gets his moment and West gets a nice fight and Lake can shine with his sport and be all sexy in the stables... Book 1 was so good. Hard to follow, I get that. But. Write the last one again or a sequel, please.....
