Why I Don't Want To Go To Germany With My Girlfriend

Rate this book
I wrote this when I was trying to figure out if I should move to Berlin to be with my German girlfriend. After spending a year and a half living in Australia and New Zealand (with a few trips to Thailand and Indonesia), we had been through more than most couples that have been together in twice the time.

Still, it was hard for me to wrap my mind around the idea that I would leave the comfort of my home town to go be with a girl who didn't seem like she was that into me to begin with. Sure, she said she was, but her actions spoke otherwise, judging from her wandering eye and the two times I caught her cheating on me.

But anyone who has been in a relationship with someone like this before knows that walking away is easier said than done. I found myself with a one-way ticket to Berlin and cold feet. Despite the fact that I had a great job lined up, a built-in girlfriend, an apartment and a big bank account to fall back on in case I didn't feel like working, I was freaking out about going.

I wrote this a week before my flight left. I spilled my guts here, so I hope you enjoy reading it!
