I really wanted to like Manacled by K.A. Wombolt because the mafia romance setup sounded so good, but it just didn’t hit for me. The story fwas super repetitive, especially once Sasha moved to Italy, and the relationship between Sasha and Andre was more controlling than romantic most of the time. I love a morally gray MMC, but Andre crossed the line too often for me to actually like the guy.

There were a few parts I liked...Liana was adorable, and some of the suspense kept me reading, but the chemistry relied more on obsession than actual emotional connection, so by the end I just wasn’t invested in them as a couple.

Andre and Sasha know each other from Bolt. Sasha needs to be kept safe and Andre takes her back to Italy to live with him for the time being. The thing is he has always wanted her. She has always wanted him but he was always going to have an arrange marriage. But things change when feelings happen and lives are threatened. She walks away and tries to build a new life without him but really can’t since he will be part of Bolt. She doesn’t want to hurt anymore. But Andre wants her more and gets out of things to have her. But will she agree?

I swear they only got better !!!! Andre is such the selfless sexy brute , while Sasha literally did whatever to keep people safe !! Love !! This is dark , and sexy and the perfect wrap up to the men of BOLT !!

This book is about Sasha and Andre. Andre is one of the owners with Sebastian Jamison and Jonathan and Xavier. Andre has family in the Italian mob in Italy and he travels back-and-forth to America quite often. Sasha was the secretary of Sebastian, who used to give him “favors”. We are finding out that Sasha is Lockhart’s niece and she is in a bad situation when it comes to him. Lockhart makes Sasha work at a sex club and makes her sleep with men for money. The guys rescue her from that situation and to keep her away from Lockhart they make her move to Italy with Andre. While living with Andre, she gets to meet Liana, who is Andre‘s niece; they basically become besties. While living there, Andre starts falling pretty hard for Sasha and they start sleeping together. Sasha ends up getting kidnapped by one of her uncle Lockhart’s head guys. He takes her to a cottage and keeps her locked up. He also kidnaps Andre at the same time and keeps him locked in the basement, the guy that he owns the law firm with ends up, figuring out that the text message they were receiving from him, which was not by him were odd. They were able to track them down and saved them out of the house and then offing the kidnapper. Andre‘s dad was going to force him to marry some woman from another mafia family. But once his dad was killed, he knew he didn’t have to marry that person. He ends up telling Sasha that he wants to be with her and not with anyone else.

What a PERFECT way to end this series. Manacled had me completely hooked from start to finish with the tension, obsession, danger, and emotional pull between Sasha and Andre. The chemistry was absolutely insane — every interaction felt intense, possessive, and loaded with emotion.
Andre was the definition of morally gray and protective in the most unhinged way possible, and honestly? I ate it up. The “best friend’s sister” trope mixed with the dark, controlling romance vibes made this impossible to put down. Sasha’s journey throughout the story added so much emotional depth, and I loved seeing her fight for herself while still falling hard.
