Oh. Em. Gee.

Was that shit for real?!?!

I am absolutely blown away by what I just read. It has been a while since a book has kept me on the edge of my seat and fully engaged like this. There were so many twists and turns in this book; some I saw coming, others I did not. I absolutely did not want it to end.

After reading Jennifer Anne Davis' first book, The Voice, I said that I was very excited for things to come from this author and that she was only going to get better and better. Well guys, it didn't take long because she had arrived in a BIG way with her second novel's debut.

The genre for this book is New Adult, but I think it would appeal to an even larger audience. The few sex scenes are very mild and most sexual situations are eluded to, rather than graphic. There is some violence but once again, it's not too graphic. I think this book could be suitable for a mature teen as well.

Lastly, WHEN DO WE GET THE NEXT BOOK JENNIFER?!?!?! You're gonna kill me by having to wait for more Bri, Matt and Dominic!!!!!!

I was looking forward to a darker edgier romance and maybe had high hopes for this. Sadly, I didn't love this. I couldn't connect or really "feel" for any of the characters and while it wasn't a bad read at all, it wasn't what I was expecting either. Maybe just not the right read for me when I read it.

Im not sure where to start with this one actually. So im going to start from the top. Or the cover. I felt the cover looked like it belong on a YA novel. Im not sure why I decided to sign up for this blog tour. Im not even sure what the blurb is about even now. Which is probably a jerk move on my part as I know what a struggle these blurbs can be. Im not saying the cover should be all sexy and over the top because while sex is mentioned in The Power to See its not overtly sexy. But it definitely is not a YA novel.
So lets talk about the story. Dominic graduates college and is ready to purpose to his college gf when she abruptly breaks up with him. Mysteriously, he is offered a job at a pharmaceutical company, his parents are dead set against this job because of the strings that will be attached. You see this isnt a normal pharmaceutical company OooOoOh No.. its a front for a drug cartel. Run by a former family friend and they know this guy (Salazar) is bad news. But after a series of events Dom feels he has no choice and takes the job. Oh I also forgot this job comes with a huge perk. It comes with a wife. Yep along with the business Dom is to marry Salazars daughter Brianna. Brianna is a beautiful young attorney and her fathers pawn. She hates being his pawn but long since gave her trying to gain her freedom. Her father is basically a monster and KUDOS to Davis.. Salazar is a REALLL BASTARD! And I hated every freaking breath he took. He was soo well written. As were the other characters but hes really the stand out to me. So doing her fathers bidding at a law firm she meets and is attracted to a fellow lawyer, Matt. Matt is an undercover DEA agent. He kinda uses Brianna but kinda loves her.
The story, it was definitely a great one. I found myself rooting for characters and then taking it back! Theres a love triangle which most books have but this one is different. I couldnt decide how I wanted it to end who I wanted to get the girl in the end. Typically I know who I choose to be my hero. But this one was neck and neck and to be honest I dont know even now. I cant tell you how many times I felt my jaw drop. Soooo many twists and turns I could totally see this as a tv show. Hurry someone contact HBO with True Blood off the air they need a new book to turn into a show.

The Power to See by Jennifer Anne Davis has a bit of everything; it has romance, mystery/suspense, and deception along with a truly amazing storyline. There are a lot of characters and stories that intertwine because of this, it’s important you follow along because everything or everyone is connected somehow, but you won’t be able to put the book down because the story is incredibly exciting and totally different from what I have ever read before.

The main characters are Dominic & Brianna; the book revolves around the two. They grew up in two completely worlds but their worlds come at a deep impact when Brianna’s father, a leader in the drug cartel recruits Dominic to take over for him. This is where the real story begins as Brianna and Dominic must come together… in many ways and for many different reasons. They had each other and this started an adorable romance between them but I still didn’t know who I could trust and who I couldn’t as I was reading. I was suspicious of everyone! Author Jennifer Anne Davis kept me on my toes! I just didn’t know what would come next.

There is a violence and sex but nothing I would call overly graphic. I loved how suspenseful the story was, as I mentioned early I didn’t know who I could trust or who was really ”the good guy”. Everyone seemed to have a reason for doing something and I loved that I never knew what was coming next. It made the book very exciting. There are a lot of characters, at times I had to go back and think about whom that person was or why they are important. The book definitely makes you think as you read but I enjoyed that. Not many books have such detailed stories or characters like The Power To See has. I can’t wait for their story to continue and to find out what happens next!

I give The Power To See 4 Stars.

Holy wow.

I didn’t see any of that coming.

That was a an amazing journey from start to finish.

First we have Dominic.

That’s Dominic

He graduated from college and just wanted to get a job, marry his love, just have a normal life.

Then there is Brianna.

Yep, that is Brianna.

Her dad is an evil drug lord/cartel type of guy. Evil. Twisted. Seems to enjoy hurting people.

See, Salazar is not a nice man.

Then we have Matt -

Matt is an über-awesome save the day type of guy.

What we have here is an old fashioned drug lord arranged marriage, take over the family business type of deal. Kind of.

It went so much deeper.

I did not expect all the twists and turns and how complicated each connection would be or how all of these little bits and pieces would come together to make me say aha!

Did I say wow? I did. That is actually exactly what I said when I closed the book.

Then I said awwww – now I need to know what happens next.

The scary thing about this book is that this could be happening at any moment, at any location, around the world. I’m not actually sure about the arranged marriage part, though I could see it happening, I am talking about the drug cartel part. We have all seen the news stories about this kind of violence. There are people out there willing to take a life for the slightest grievance or in the name of money.

I think Jennifer did an excellent job portraying that life style without being overly graphic. There was a couple of gruesome parts but nothing my almost 15 year old hasn’t seen while I have the nightly news on.

She also portrayed Brianna’s being stuck in this life beautifully. The fear of her father, the longing for a normal life, the horror of your body guards catching you where your father doesn’t think you should be, all of it was in there.

Loved it! If you like some suspense to go along with your romance you are going to love The Power To See!

Different from Jennifer Anne Davis' True Reign series, The Power to See is an engaging read which is set in modern day California. I was drawn into the story from the very beginning. The main characters include Brianna, the daughter of drug lord Salazar, Dominic, who is a recent college graduate, and Matt, an undercover DEA agent. I thought the pacing was very good, with a lot of suspenseful moments. I also thought it had some plot twists that I wasn't expecting. Overall, I really liked this book, and I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel to find out what happens to all of the characters.

Once again, I was struck by how well developed all of the characters were. Brianna quickly became one of my favorite characters. As I read and got a glimpse into her thoughts, I could understand how frustrated and trapped she felt being the daughter of the leader of a drug cartel. As for as Salazar himself.... Wow. He was someone I came to dislike intensely, and I wanted to slap him several times. Given what he was though, the actions he took in establishing his control over everything and everyone under him felt authentic...manipulating people and events like a master at the game of chess.

It was also fascinating to see the shift in Dominic from the start of the novel to the end, and the transformation he underwent as he fell deeper into Salazar's web. That's one of the things that stood out the most after I finished the book and had time to reflect on it a bit. Matt was also a fascinating character, and I grew to like him quite a bit. I found myself rooting for him more and more as the story progressed.

Definitely recommend this book to anyone who like suspenseful contemporary fiction with a bit of romance. My rating is 5/5 platypires.

I’m finding that this is a difficult review for me to write. There was a lot for me that worked about The Power to See. The writing was flawless and Ms. Davis has obviously done her research on drug cartels; the situations were so detailed and felt genuine. The characters, for the most part, were fully drawn and fleshed-out. The author certainly knows how to keep her readers guessing, and I found myself on the edge of my seat from the first page all the way through to the last.
That, for me, was also part of the problem. I love my books with a healthy dose of angst. However, The Power to See was one long angst-ridden reading excursion for me. There was never a point in the story where I felt like I could stop and take a breath, to feel a little peace for the characters. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it was just too angsty for me.
The other part of the book that fell flat for me was the romance aspect. I loved the character of Matt, the undercover DEA agent. He and Brianna had a palpable attraction to each other and against improbable odds, acted on that attraction. However, while the book didn’t skirt around scenes of violence, there was little to no actual heat in the book. The sex scenes definitely left me wanting more. I also found myself wanting to know more about Matt and what made him tick.
With the addition of some romance/steam and even a slight reprieve from all the angst, this could easily have been a 4+ read for me. As it is, I just wasn’t able to make a complete connection with the story. That said, the storyline itself grabbed me enough that I will most likely pick up the next book in the series to see where the characters go from here.

When I signed up to review The Power To See I did not read the synopsis so I didn’t know what I would be reading really. I am glad for the surprise through. I found it a great read and was hooked from the first page.

The books main focus is about a drug cartel owned by Salazar, he wants to retire but he wants the cartel to stay in the family which means as he only has a daughter, Brianna , she will need to marry someone that her father thinks is up to the job so an arranged marriage it is. Bring in Dominic who has just graduated and dumped all on the same day. Dominic seems like a sweet homely guy and in my eyes too kind natured to have what it takes to be boss of a cartel. When he meets Brianna at the pier it seems like fate little does he know it was planned that she be there that night. He starts to fall for her.

Brianna on the other hand is an attorney and working on a case for her father and meets Matt, the attractive attorney who is actually undercover with the DEA. He is trying to get information on the Salazar Cartel. In doing that he also ends up sleeping with Brianna and they start falling for each other. Will his secret come out? Will Brianna marry Dominic, Will Dominic manage to get out before it’s too late and without his family being hurt and does he find out what happened with Claire? You will have to read to find out.

Romance, Crime, Mystery, Suspense this book has it all and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

Ok… Where do I start… Hmmm…
I don’t read books like this…I’m trying to think if I ever read a book like this before…& I don’t think I have. But I found this book to be a real page turner. There’s definitely a lot going on right in the beginning of the book. There’s a lot of characters introduce to you right from the start. It’s kind of hard to keep track. The back & forth of it all.. How their lives intertwine with each other. How their paths cross.
Each chapter is about a certain character that explains how they end up tied to the cartel or how they ultimately end up with ties to the cartel. It’s a very movie like book. Kind of like the movie Savages… But without the threesomes!!…lol

Right away I get drawn into the book just by the location of where the book takes place! San Diego!! I too live in San Diego…so when the author starts to name city’s… I’m like hey.. I know where that’s at!! I like that!!
I feel the author does a good job describing the surroundings and settings of the book.
It’s just the characters in the book that gets confusing. But once you get past that.. It all clicks together. (& it’s really helpful that the author has a list of who’s….who next to the table if contents!)
The book centers mostly around Matt Fueller the hot DEA agent/attorney.
Dominic Bennett the good looking fiancé & soon-to-be leader of the Ramon Salazar cartel.
Brianna Salazar an attorney & daughter of Antonio Salazar.
And Antonio Salazar head of the Ramon Salazar Cartel. He’s also a ruthless killer!
Right in the beginning of this book the author starts to set the scene and tone of the book. Antonio has his hand in everything! He’s a very ruthless cutthroat kind of man. You have no say in anything. He makes decisions and you have no choice but to accept… Or suffer the consequences!
And Antonio is all to happy to hand out those consequences.. He’s a psychopath.
You would think he would have a soft spot for his own daughter.
But,He treats her like he would treat any other person that would work for him.
Every decision in Brianna’s life was made by her father. She had no say in anything. What she ate… What she wore…even who she dated. If she went against her fathers wishes…well let’s just say it ended badly for her.
Dominic I felt like he had a choice on how his life would turn out. To me it felt like he was trying to be someone that I don’t think he could ever be. He tried to make a name for himself… But I think he went about it all wrong. Even being warned about working for Antonio he didn’t listen & when he finally realized it.. It was to late… He was in to deep.
Now he was being groomed & trained to be a ruthless killer. Well at least that was the plan…
Also too… Brianna was part of the package. When Dominic agreed to work for Antonio.
Antonio wanted to keep everything “In the family”… Meaning Brianna & Dominic fates were all ready sealed in Antonio’s eyes.
Now Matt is there behind the scenes the whole time trying to get information on Antonio. Working undercover at a law firm. Having Brianna also working at the same firm… Was like hitting the jack pot! What was supposed to be only a friendship to get information turns into something more with Matt & Bri. Something they both have never experience. & Both taking the risk of being together. They both know what’s at stake. But they don’t care.
This book was more suspense than romance. & this being my first book like this…I must say…. It really sucked me in! I really enjoyed it! I’m looking forward to reading the second book to find out what happens!!

Ohhh this book was GOOD! Let me jump in and tell you all about it. There are a lot of key characters in this story so Jennifer Anne Davis did us all a favor and gave a list of who the players are. I will give you a brief rundown… Brianna’s father Salazar is the fiercest of drug lords reigning over a huge and terrible cartel. I can’t forget about Matt Fueller the DEA agent sent to take down Salazar.

Brianna is an amazing heroine. She has lived a horrific life under her abusive, powerful, drug cartel running father’s thumb. He says he does things to protect her but Salazar has people killed if he doesn’t like her relationship with that person.
“Brianna wished her lunatic father would just kill her instead of playing these games. But that’s why he didn’t; he enjoyed tormenting her and watching her agony. Death would be too easy.” Even feeling this way, she got out of bed everyday and tried to live a life the best she could..

Dominic is a confused man. He just graduated from college and was about to propose to his girlfriend when she dumps him. He battles with what is morally right and how to move on from his heartache. Since Brianna is Salazar’s only child, he sets up Dominic to marry Brianna and take over the business once he decides to retire. But Dominic was raised knowing killing people even bad people is not right. We watch him transform into this drug cartel almost leader throughout the book but deep down you still see he is the kind and loving man we saw in to the beginning. There were times I wanted to slap and a minute later give him a great big hug.

That brings us to Matt. Matt was very dreamy if you take away some of the lies he has to tell since he is a DEA agent forced (at first) to get close to Brianna. These two’s connection was off the charts. Matt was so good for Brianna. He really cared about her and wants her away from her evil father.

Salazar, Brianna’s father is a despicable man. I only have one thing to saw about Salazar, I hope he rots in hell.

I loved this book. It really took me on an adventure of right and wrong, love and hate and always kept me guessing on what the characters were going to finally decide to do with the direction of their lives. There were all sorts of twists and secrets that came out and really kept me enthralled.

This is one of my favorite quotes from the book, “’Listen to me. Do you know what love really is? All your life you’ve been faced with lies and deceit. People saying they love you, people claiming to have your best interest at heart. Do any of these people even know you? The real you? He pointed at her heart. ‘I know you’”

Ms Davis ended the story incredibly smart. There is no cliffhanger but she did leave it open ended. I was very satisfied with the ending but I have already messaged her begging for more. I really feel in love with the threesome and need more of them. I have added Jennifer Anne Davis to most follow author list. Her writing was spectacular!

I was given an ARC for an honest review.

I just finished The power to See and it was an enjoyable read. Brianna and Dominic are in for the fight of their life in this story. You find out that Brianna's father is conniving, controlling and drug ruling bas**rd. He is into illegal drugs and has shipments that he owns and oversees them. He is ready to think about retiring so he enlist (or controls the decision) Dominic, to basically groom him into taking over. One condition. He has to marry Brianna. Brianna know who her dad is and she is definitely tired of him making decision and ruining everyone's lives but just cannot seem to break him goes along with his decision to marry Dominic. You will find out the Brianna's dad has control over everything. Will Brianna be able to go through this charade? What will happen with Dominic once he becomes apart of the family? You will have top read and see.

I enjoyed the story, I thought it flowed really well and with it going back and forth between multiple characters, you were able to keep things on track and not get confused. I really liked the story line. I thought it was a good one to choose and liked how the author told her story.

I liked "most" of the characters. Brianna, I really felt bad for her. She wanted out but there wasn't a way to do it so with her watching everything her dad did, I surprised she wasn't warped. Dominic, I felt bad for him too. He was definitely coerced into taking this position. He had the right idea but he got in way to deep to pull out. Matt, (undercover agent) I liked him too. He had a job to do and he did it well even thought there was some decisions that he made that I just couldn't understand but its a story, you run with it. I took some turns that I was not expecting, and was kind of shocked to say the least.

The one thing for me, and yes I will admit it, I need sex in a story. I'm not saying that it takes away from it because it did not but I felt like this could have made a better story for me so we could see more emotion from all the characters.

If you are looking for a suspenseful read, this one is for you

The Power to See is a book filled with suspense and crime.

This book is told in multiple POVs. It starts off with Dominic graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He was about to propose to his girlfriend of two years, only to have her breaking up with him.

Then comes Brianna, a twenty-two-year-old attorney whose father is actually the leader of a drug cartel. She struggles with living her life, yet not exactly controlling it. Her father has found someone to take over his place in a few years and also marry Brianna.

Since the break-up, Dominic has been feeling lost in life. With him buried in his debts, he is tempted when he is offered a job that is too good to be true. Lured by money and power, he doesn't realize that he works for a drug cartel until he's in too deep. Wanting to keep his family safe, he agrees with Brianna's father to the arranged marriage with Brianna.

Let me just say that the plot for this story was really great. I think the story flowed really well. Jennifer did a great job in keeping you on your toes. Seriously. I was always on a lookout while I was reading this, expecting trouble to pop out anytime. It got my heart racing with anticipation every time.

As for the characters, I thought that Jennifer did an amazing job at writing each of them. I liked both the good and bad characters. Each character was so distinct and different from each other. You can tell them apart and I applaud Jennifer for that because writing in multiple POVs could lead to all the characters sounding the same. But you could clearly tell them apart in this book. Brianna has got to be one of my favorite characters. She's such a strong and beautiful person that I can't help but want her to be happy and to stand up to her father.

Overall, I thought that this was an entertaining book. It was filled with suspense, action and amazing characters. All in all, a great book to read when you're looking for a book that will keep your eyes peeled.

**JOSIE’S REVIEW**

*4.5 Stars*

So anything that involves the mafia, I am in! Add a hot guy and sex, well that is just a bonus. I didn’t know what to expect when going into this because I thought it would be a typical mafia love story…WRONG!!!! That’s right…wrong! This book had so many twists and turns, shockers, SEX, violence and BETRAYAL ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Dominic has just finished college and is ready to propose to the love of his life, Claire. We are to assume Claire is going to say yes. Dominic did not anticipate Claire getting a visit from the evil drug lord, Salazar, and that’s where the trouble begins.

Dominic and Brianna are from two different worlds but yet they share so much. Because of this connection they have Brianna’s father the leader of a huge drug cartel enlists Dominic to take over for him, unbeknownst to Dominic. Dominic and Briana are thrown together, and form an alliance to take down Salazar.

I thought that Dominic and Brianna’s relationship was a real love story. However, Briana was in love with Mike the DEA and Dominic never got over Claire. Dominic had me so confused because I honestly did not know whose side he was on. Towards the end I questioned myself even more. I swear I did not who to trust because when I thought things were going the way I wanted BOOM, things changed. OK and yep there is a cliff hanger which left me questioning again WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!

If you are into suspense, mystery and CRAZY HOT SEX SCENCES then this is a book for you. Jennifer Anne Davis takes you on a ride up until the very end, which made reading this so exciting. You will have a love/hate relationship with all the characters, even the drug lord (yep I did). Seriously, I did not expect what I got from this book, and that is a good thing because I could not put it down. Now if book 2 could come out as soon as possible, MAYBE I could narrow down the EVIL guys and get all my answers.

I bought this book for my kindle the day it came out for $0.99. I was ecstatic to read this book because I really enjoyed the first book by this author. And after reading this one, there's no doubt that I will hurriedly acquire every book this author releases. She has only reenforced my opinion of her as an author. I was a bit nervous about this book even though I loved the author's first one, because the first was YA which is what I usually like, and this was new-adult/adult. However, I loved this book. I read it in approximately 9 hours. (Yes, I counted.)

This book deals with drugs, violence, death, murder, rape, and love. (One of these things is not like the other). It also deals with finding your inner strength, the lengths people will go to to protect the ones they love, trusting anyone when your trust is often destroyed, and other deep emotional themes. Make no mistake: People die in this book. This is not one of those books you'll read and say: "Oh I just love all of those characters. I'm so glad everything worked out. That was such a short, sweet little book." Nope. That's not going to happen. So get that idea out of your head.

That being said, you will love this book. There are characters in this book you will love and characters you will hate. Some you'll want to hug and grant every wish they've ever had and others you'll wish would just DIE ALREADY. I'm pretty sure I found myself saying that once or twice during this book. Anyways, this book is artfully written, so much so that you can find redeeming qualities in awful characters and awful qualities in your favorite characters. You will feel the emotion in this book. This book is filled with exciting twist and turns and will leave you wanting more. More of the characters, more of the story, more by Jennifer Anne Davis, just more. This book will leave you craving more.

***** I received an ARC copy for an honest review *****

Wow I just finish reading this book, and I am so glad that I got to read it, this book is not what I was expecting at all, I love the characters love how it turned out to be, and what I love the most thing about this book is that you get to read it from all the characters point of view, their is a lot going on in this book bit of everything; it has romance, mystery/suspense, and deception along with a truly amazing storyline.

The story beginning with Dominic graduating from collage, that same day he was about to proposed to his girlfriend, only to find out that she broke up with him that same day, after few days of mopping around he gets a visit from a stranger affording him a job, he just did not know what kind of job and what he would be getting into.

That's when Brianna comes in, now Brianna is an attorney and her father has being controlling her every move. including to pick a husband for her, but for her to survive her crazy father she has to agree with him, even though that her heart belong to some one else, and that's the sexy Matt.

I have to say that Dominic had me so confused because I honestly did not know whose side he was on. Towards the end I questioned myself even more. I swear I did not who to trust because when I though that things where going as I wanted it just kept throwing me more curved ball and change my mind again.

I really enjoy and love this book, I hope that when you read this that you get to enjoy it and love it as much as I did.

Jennifer Anne Davis THANK YOU for introducing me to this amazing wonderful characters and this Great book.

Wow, my head is still spinning from that ending!! I totally did not see that coming!!!!

Ok, so Brianna's life is unbelievable, her father is a domineering control freak and she lost her mother way too young. But, this is not just a story about Brianna, it's the story of so many intertwined lives. The visuals created with her words are beyond description.... I felt the wind in my hair, the sun on my skin, the pain of the broken hearts and destroyed lives, the reverberation of the gun being fired, but most of all the desperation of each character - including the villain.

When an author can make me feel sympathy or understand the villain of the story, they have accomplished something few can. But, for me to connect with EVERY character and understand them? Wow...

I was so drawn into this story that I didn't realize I was so close to the end until I was there. And then I was left with my head spinning - did not see that coming! - and wishing that there was a second one to jump right into...

This is a MUST read for everyone!!

A more thorough review with playlist, etc will appear on my blog (http://journeyintopureimagination.blo...) on November 24 as part of The Power To See Blog Tour.

WOW!
This one was a definite page turner! I couldn't read this fast enough to see how it was going to end!

There are so many characters and their lives intertwine to create this soap opera type story!

Ms. Davis has given us characters and a storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat...will the good in people prevail over the bad? Will they help each other out of tough situations? Will they stand up to the evil that is Salazar?

We are thrown into a world of drug cartels, lies, deceit, greed, revenge and murder. During the story we learn the truth to the lies and deceit. We are also given a love story. Don't we all love a good love story? This gave the story a great balance.

The flow of this story was fantastic...there was never a dull moment. All of the characters were given their chance to tell a side of the story. I didn't feel as if any character was underdeveloped...everything was spot on.

I gave The Power to See a 5/5 stars for giving us an ending that I didn't see coming!!! (I can usually predict what will happen...this I did not!) The story could totally become a movie or mini series!
If you are looking for something different to read then this is the one for you!

I really enjoyed this book even though it’s not one of those swoony romance books. It has a lot of depth to it and the characters are very well developed. I feel like I know the characters and can identify with them in some ways. I liked how the voice would change between the main characters. I could definitely see this book being made into a movie. It’s a throughly enjoyable read with some awful but realistic story lines. I liked how each character had different persona’s than what they were showing to the world.

All in all I would highly recommend this book if you don’t want the standard romance book but are looking for a bit more. This book focuses on the families involved in drug cartel’s and is an interesting and enjoyable read. I rate this book 4.5 stars because I was drawn to the book completely while reading it.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of this in a giveaway and having read The Key I was excited to see what else Jennifer could come up with. Well this book was certainly different. There is quite a cast to keep up with and the list of players at the beginning was certainly a welcome addition. I found the beginning a little confusing but my advice is to stick with it. As it went on I found it impossible to put down. I defy anyone to work out how this all plays out because this story has more twists and turns than an English village country road!

Be warned though ..... There is no total resolution here. I am still mulling over which, if any of the characters I like and he door is certainly left open for another book.

A good fit for crime / mystery lovers and a solid 4 stars from me!

All I can say is wow, hold on to your seats and go on a wild roller coaster ride. Make sure you hold on tight because there are twists and turns you won't see coming. From beginning to end The Power to See takes you hostage.

The characters are well developed. You can see everything happening  as if you were watching a movie. You will love some characters and dislike the antagonist. The Power to See is recommended for readers over 17 years old.

What a roller coaster ride that was!! Seriously non stop excitement!! When I wasn't reading it, all I could think about what was going to happen next. Again, another amazing show of talent that Jennifer has to write something so completely different than her other two books. Wow!!! I really want to read this book again!! :)

I was on the edge of my seat frantically flipping pages until the very last page. WOW.. this was a roller coaster ride I wasn't expecting but so glad I got on! The characters are deep, realistic, and easy to get attached to. The situation is definitely something that could be reality. I'm hoping for a sequel!

I highly recommend this book..

I was not expecting that at all! A wow of a book!! Really it's like reading a movie. At least it should be a movie. This story is filled with non stop action. I don't even know where to begin. Amazing. That's all I can say.

Wow. Jennifer Anne Davis is one of my favorite authors and I had been wanting to read this one for a while. It did not disappoint! What a crazy, twisted story about drug cartels, forbidden love, loyalty and the importance of freedom.

Brianna has always been controlled by her father, Salazar. You know from the beginning that Salazar is not a good man, but the things this man does made my jaw drop, literally. When you think he can't be more evil, he proves to you that he can. There were lots of twists and turns and this kept me turning pages and on my toes. I loved all of the characters and I just wish there was more to this story! My only complaint is that the ending is kind of open ended and I need to know MORE!

I can't wait to read Jennifer's other books. Her "Reign of Secrets" series is already on my all-time favorites shelf. :) Thank you Jennifer for the opportunity to read this!

The Power to See by Jennifer Anne Davis is a good book. It combines a compelling plot with truly sinister characters. It isn't what I expected, the title suggests a bit of paranormal, but I was intrigued. The ending is a bit cliffy, which is frustrating because I did not find a book 2. I would certainly have read that to see what comes of this super odd family.

*I dropped a star for editing, but I read a 2013 edition, so they may have been corrected in later editions.

Great book

This was fun book to read. I enjoyed it and would read more books from this author. This is light reading at its best. I always enjoy a book I can get lost in, and this is one of those books.

I just discovered this authors books about a week and a half ago and I've already read 4 of them. Her stories are fast paced and compelling, making them nearly impossible to put down until you've come to the end. This book was no exception.
