"In a chronological and geographic framework, the author makes acute analyses of the major Gothic styles. really enjoyed the parts about italian art and the clearly explained concepts of gothic diffusion throughout Europe, and I got about the average amount of knowledge from a book this size. I mistakenly thought this was a book about Gothic ARCHITECTURE, when in fact it is about all of Gothic art. So, underserved my needs but through little fault of its own.
