After six months of late night feedings, dirty diapers, and a baby who’d rather be held than sleep in his crib, Daphne and Cooper Jones need a break. So when he books a romantic stay-cation at a luxury hotel for Mother’s Day, Daphne is thrilled she gets to shower in peace and maybe read a book that doesn’t include barnyard animals.
But Cooper has one more than one surprise up his sleeve. He knows Daphne’s been harboring a secret fantasy and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make her dreams come true… with a little help from a friend.
One night doesn’t seem to be enough to quell their mutual desires. And as things left unsaid for years make their way to the surface the line between fantasy and reality starts to blur. But what if it doesn’t have to be over, what if this night is just the beginning?
It's Mother's Day smut. There really is a smut book for every topic and holiday. And this Mother's Day themed novella really focuses on what should be important ... mom's pleasure. This novella features a MFM throuple who have had pent up feelings for a very long time. It's dripping with smut, I mean, that's honestly the entire point of this short story. It's a quick read and the reader gets to the spice of things pretty quickly. It's only around 90 or so pages, so the author manages to pack a lot of sex into not that much story. There's some bi-awakening going on, but the only one who didn't know that about themselves was the character that it pertained to. Basically, this was a sex drenched novella with very little else in it, themed around Mother's Day. It was fantastic.
Daphne's husband, Cooper, wants to do something nice for his wife since she's been more vocal about not feeling as attractive as she once was. She feels more mom and less woman than before she had kids. And Daphne and Cooper have been together since college and have always been on the freakier side of things. So to show her that he's definitely still attracted to her and that her being a mom has only increased his attraction to her, he does the only logical thing he can think of. He whisks Daphne away on a Mother's Day getaway and asks his lifelong friend, Elias to cuckhold him. I'm not sure either of these characters (or the author?) knows what cuckholding is, because all that really happened was a threesome with some light ordering around. I mean, the scenes written were pretty fucking great and the author is super descriptive. It just definitely wasn't what was first laid out by the characters when the set up was being discussed. The only complaint that I have about any of the scenes is that after Cooper (husband, MMC) divulges that he's bi (everyone knew you wanted to bone Elias, my dude) there is no sex scene between him and Elias. It's hinted at a couple of times, but doesn't actually happen. Which is a real bummer. During their night of passion, they all realize that they all want to be with each other romantically and domestically as a throuple. Elias freaks out because feelings, but Daphne and Cooper chase after him, make him reveal what he really wants, and then they all have more sex. It ends on that note, but the reader gets the feeling that they're a permanent throuple and just meld their lives together, living happily every after in polyamory.

This is a 3⭐️ read for me. But there's nothing like weird typos to make me hate myself. So 2.5⭐️ it is.
Honestly, I dug it. But while the beginning was established, it fizzled at the end. I know it's a novella, but it needed like one more itsy bitsy scene and perhaps an epilogue.
Wife and Husband take a chance and bring their best friend into the bedroom. What could’ve ended up messy - did not. 👀 Plus, a bi-awakening all in one. A very quick read.
I was ALL in for the first few chapters but the ending really ruined it for me.. I wish it would’ve just been a fun Mother’s Day scene and didn’t have to get messy with feelings..
This is a spicy one, and it's short, so the amount of space is proportionally a lot. I don't know if cute is the right word...sweet - maybe? Hey, if you're into best friends falling in love, that will be perfect for you.
