About the author

Sheri has lived in Sarasota, Florida her entire life. Happily married to her partner in crime, Greg, she has one child and a herd of animals, including her princess, an American Bulldog named Gracie, Mastiff Rowdy, and her demonic grand-cat named Hallie.

Between keeping up with the herd she has, as well as being a full time caretaker to her mother in law and working full-time at a local Chevrolet dealership, she somehow manages to fit in a couple paragraphs at the end of the day.

Sheri has always had a passion for writing, writing many novels over the years, and a love for reading that started when she was a little girl. Sheri’s dream growing up was to be able to gift her mother a book with her name written as the author, and now she is finally able to do so.

If you get the chance to dive into one of Sheri’s books, you will not regret it. She writes with a true love for books and storytelling, which shows in every paragraph.

Love this book! Honestly I think I like their romance more than Emma and Austin’s (although they will always hold a place in my heart). I loved that it was quick paced and I wasn’t ever bored while reading and waiting for the next thing to happen.
I will say, I saw one review talking about “insta-lust”, and I feel so sorry for that person. Have you really never looked at someone and immediately wanted to take your clothes off? My deepest condolences to you, dear reader. Every author has a different way of writing. I love how fast paced this book is and there’s never a point of sitting and waiting for the next thing to drop bored as hell. If it’s not for you, that’s okay. But I love this writing the same that I love my long, drawn out series.

Carnal is the second book in the series. There is no slow build up with Sheri Krom's books. The moment you start reading, you are IN IT!

Cierra and Steven's story is a crazy, romantic suspense filled journey. Get ready to sweat and find yourself holding your breath. From the moment they meet, the chemistry is on.

Cierra is one of the most bad a$$ FMC's that I have read to date. Not to take away from Emma in Deviant who is equally amazing.

This story will keep you on your toes. I can't wait to see what happens in book 3.

Carnal is a steamy romantic suspense novel that pulls you in from the first page. It follows Cierra, a deadly operative torn between her mission and a forbidden romance, and Steven, a man just trying to protect his sister—until everything he knows is turned upside down. The tension between duty and desire is done really well, and I loved the unexpected twists. I enjoyed reading it because the chemistry felt real, and the stakes kept rising in a way that made it hard to put down.

Carnal by Sheri Krom is a fast-paced novella that doesn’t waste a second getting to the action. Cierra, a fierce assassin with deadly skills and a no-nonsense attitude, completely steals the show. The chemistry between her and Steven is electric. If you're looking for a quick, steamy read with danger, tension, and a badass FMC, this one delivers. Would've loved a bit more depth or backstory, but for what it is, Carnal absolutely hits the mark.

I want to thank Sheri Krom and NetGalley for this eARC, and that’s my honest opinion.

An erotic novella that fails in building up the right tension.
In other words, the spice doesn’t spice.
You can use all the toys you want; you can have the kinkiest play room but that’s not enough if you don’t work on characters and the growing attraction.
You need a spark, something more than a mechanical act.
Instalust has never been so insta and everything is just a mess.

Huh? This book was zipping in all different directions so it was so hard to keep up. I got an advance copy to read and review so thank you NetGalley but I would have held off on putting it out until atleast one more round as it was really hard to read.

I’m sorry but this was awful. Yes it’s fast paced but the million story lines and no clear direction is so prominent. You can tell the author didn’t take time to research and understand some of the themes and situations that arise from the story
