If it reeks of mayhem, it’s either a pitcher of margaritas…or trouble.
Jake’s Bar is more than just a piece in Madison Westin’s business portfolio. It’s a Tarpon Cove institution where the margs never stop flowing, and today’s special comes with an aromatic side of…dead body?
Madison and her bestie, Fabiana Merceau, have no idea who would leave this particularly gruesome (and smelly) calling card. But if the goal is to ruin business, the culprit is clearly clueless about the siren song of crime scene tape. Jake’s will be packed to the rafters before the crime scene cleaners are a cloud of dust on the horizon.
The girls and their hottie husbands, Creole and Didier, tap into their extended network of shady friends (and owed favors) to dig for clues. But before Madison can unearth who is out to steal everything she holds dear, she could run into a very, very dead end.
Deborah Brown is the author of the Paradise series, Crazy, Deception and Trouble Florida Keys mysteries, which makes the reader laugh, cry and cheer...
My personal ad would read:
There's nothing a new pair of shoes can't cure.
Redhead. Long legs. There's nothing like a strawberry-lemonade in summer. Favorite activity: Filling my pockets with seashells. An avid rule follower when eating Animal Cookies: Broken ones get eaten first, match up the rest, duplicates next, line them up favorite to not, least favorite go first. South Florida is my home, with my ungrateful rescue cats, and where Mother Nature takes out her bad attitude in the form of hurricanes.
I enjoy the friendship and got your back relationship of Madison and Fab. They trust each other to always be there for one another when things get tough. This time it’s Fab to the rescue. We also get to see a softer side to Fab when she decides to help a college student get out of an abusive relationship with his father. The young man had been falsely arrested and was terrified that his dad would beat him. The dynamic duo also rescue a 16 year old runaway boy. And they also rescue a few animals amongst all the chaos! Their wallets are as big as their hearts and their hearts are pretty big! The usual cast of characters in this series keep things entertaining.
I always look forward to another Florida Keys book Madison and Fab are friend/family/relationship goals. There is so much going on in these books, and I especially love how they go out of their way for kids and animals. This one really got to me, wondering just how Fab would save Madison in the end, even though we KNEW she was going to save her. Just love them all. Reading these books is like meeting up with old friends, there is no difficulty reconnecting.... Its like coming back home, even if home can get a little wild and crazy.
This series is an absolute favourite of mine. The storylines are fast-paced, unique and interesting. I love the interaction of the characters. Their strong bonds add a level of depth that peaks and holds your interest. Also like the occasional interweaving of some of the other series. It keeps you interested and abreast of the other series. I highly recommend you read this series. I'm already impatiently awaiting the next adventure with Madison and Fab.
The series keeps getting better. Madison and Fab have gotten their lives together and are enjoying their extended families. The typos are fewer and easier to ignore. Lots of action and great character development. Balancing the numerous storylines is an art and this author has nailed it. Always a laugh or two and the Cottages are always a good time.
the Florida Keys Mystery Series is Always a Fun Read.
Madison and Fab friends but sisters of the heart manage to get on more trouble as Madison is kidnapped, brutalized, and put in a junk vehicle slated to be crushed. No way is Fab going to allow that. With a cast of the usual characters the chase to find Maddie is on.
Well Deborah Brown you did it again! Hunted in Paradise (Florida Keys Mystery Series Book 33) was outstanding. This book contains delightful characters, loving relationships, and lots of mysteries! I recommend a Reader start with Book 1 and develop a relationship with Madison, Fab, and the “family”. I promise you won’t be sorry! Can’t wait for book 34!
Great story except for the last chapter. It would have made two very easily. It seemed to wrap up the whole story in a very few ages. I think it should have been fleshed out enough so that readers could really be sure of what happened and how. Deborah goes into such great detail through the rest of the book that the ending doesn’t satisfy as much.
Incredible series. I hope there are more adventures for Fab and Madison in the future as it seems there is always a criminal or nefarious situation that needs to be removed.
This has been one of the most exciting entries in this series! It was a little slow starting but wow! Once it did! I love all of the secondary characters that add so much! Definitely recommend this one!
Another on the edge of your seat installment in this series. Fab and Madison are good people and all the family and friends are too. So much crime in that little section of south Florida.
