She bought the cabin to get away. She never expected to find someone worth staying for.Heartbroken and humiliated after a life of being unlucky in love, Josie Taylor flees to the rugged and stormy shores of Stonington, Maine to nurse her wounds and forget about her cruel destiny as a hopeless romantic. A cozy small town where nobody knows her past is the ideal place to make a fresh start—but some of the locals aren’t too keen on her arrival.

Sam Porter hates outsiders. As a surly recluse who hides from the tourists of the summer months, he’s hardly the man to make Josie feel welcome. She’s determined not to let his attitude dampen her spirits—and as she begins to unravel a surprising new side to the man, they soon find solace from their troubles in each other’s arms... even if she’s afraid to take the plunge and open her heart again.

Too bad her past isn’t quite ready to let her go—and between her ex-husband rearing his head and her free-spirited sister arriving with a business plan that’s as wild as it is risky, Josie is quickly caught in turbulent waters. Can she weather the storm and create a bright new future in this salty & seafaring town? Or will her hope for a second chance be dashed on the rocky cliffs?

Take the plunge into a delightful and wholesome seaside romance with themes of fresh beginnings and later-in-life love. With a dash of tantalizing mystery and plenty of feel-good emotions, The Harbor Retreat is a memorable series that will warm your heart with all the charms of the sea.

This is a really good series. Josie has one trail after another! Will her heartbreak ever end? Her sorry ex-boyfriend she almost married is one sorry dude, yes that’s what I said DUDE, a sorry of an excuse of a man. How can any one man be so sorry & still be human. How could he try to frame all of his crooked ways on a girl he claimed to love?? It’s all catching up with him & he’s trying to put all the blame on her because he’s a coward! What a sorry man he is. He’s made all kinds of threat to her & about her! Now what? Will she go to jail? Will he get off scott free? Will Josie get a happy ever after with Sam?.

I received this ARC book for free. This has been a very interesting series. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and I am giving my review in my own words without any encouragement from the author.

The series draws to an end. The reporter Claire, comes to
Josie with more incriminating evidence against Kevin. Will he finally pay for the wrongs he did to others? With the help of her attorney, Josie schedules a press conference to reveal evidence they have verified.

The galary is thriving and Heather is turning into a very accomplished businesswoman. The community welcome the galary, and is very supportive of various activities

Sam and Josie grow closer. Will they share a future?

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
