Irene Bahrd is a feisty Capricorn and one of the most avid readers you will ever meet. Her favorite genres to read or write include romantic comedies, political romance, romantasy, and the occasional contemporary dark romance.
She started her writing journey as a dare from a friend, after recounting dating stories from her early twenties. They inspired her to write spicy romantic comedies and parodies that feature a variety of book boyfriends—though most are cinnamon roll golden retrievers. Many of her stories contain LGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodivergent characters.

Edited to include ALC review: Ryan Lee Dunlap and M.K. Blackwood were absolutely fantastic, and I believe I have found a new favorite female narrator. I had a lot of fun listening to this story, and if it's possible, I now like it even more than I did when I read he ARC.

“It’s adorable how the poor guy thinks I don’t know he watches me sleep.”
If you want to have a good time laughing your ass off at every ridiculous thing that would make you all hot and bothered in a dark romance, this is the book for you. So many things go wrong in this story that it really made me think that this is what would probably happen if a regular person tried to live out their stalking fantasies in real life.
Victor and Keri are in the same orchestra. Victor is obsessed with Keri and indulges in some light stalking without knowing that Keri is fully aware of his stalker tendencies, and not only is she totally into it, but she does a little stalking of her own to throw him of his game. Now, little do they know, there is a third amateur stalker in the mix, and when they all come together, everything goes to shit.
This was a short fun read, and we were also introduced to some characters whose story I can't wait to read.
Quote: “I was so worried about toying with you that I didn’t know there was someone actually stalking me.”
I thought this book was fun, but I felt it lacked any connection like I felt no romance between Vincent and keri, and Paul was just random
so Victor has been stalking keri for a year, and she knows, and she's OK with it, and then there is paul who randomly tied himself naked up in her apartment . and then he makes keri a pie with his essence .
Victor and keri hook up, and keri says it was fine but not as good as her buzz buzz . so Paul I guess, is gonna help . with his Pierced 🍆
it was fun and spicy.

This book was short, spicy, and absolutely hilarious! The narrators did a great job with all of these characters. I was cracking up at the FMC’s internal thoughts!
What a sweet looking cover - music lovers turned lovers? NOT IN AN IRENE BAHRD JOINT! Yes, they are members of a symphony. Yes, there’s some naughty stuff going on. It’s not even remotely sweet though. A fun, short, very naughty novella that is perfect palette cleanser when you want to laugh and swoon and say OHHHHH MY. This is why I will always read everything Irene Bahrd writes. Always. I ARC read this and couldn’t wait for people to get their hands on it so we could talk about it!
Treble By Irene Bahrd Narrated by Ryan Lee Dunlap, MK Blackwood
Fun, spicy and quick, this listen checks all the boxes. Keri must be pretty special. Having two stalkers, she likes to play with them, driving them both crazy. Turning the tables on Victor, she begins to stalk him! He is the more serious of the two, seeing Keri as his forever, while Paul is looking for the here and now. But Keri has her own plan, hoping to get a chance to play in LA, leaving these two behind. Boy is she in for a surprise! I loved this fast paced romance, a quick love triangle all leading to love.
Ryan Lee Dunlap and MK Blackwood add so much to this story with their fabulous narration. Dunlap is Victor and Paul, with just enough arrogance, frustration, possessiveness and love to make his characters just enough over the top to love. Blackwood is Keri with all the attitude and sensuality. Loved these two and enjoyed the listen.
I always look forward to reading Irene's newest novellas. She makes me laugh every time. In addition, that you never know what you will read. Take example a few of these lines:
"I'd buy a collar, but Victor would likely assume it is for my nonexistent cat." "I'm delightfully unhinged." "Slip-N-Slide"
It is funny that Paul and Victor both were stalking Keri and thought they were being so sneaky about it. Yet, Keri is very aware of these two men, and she is doing her own stalking. The stalker(s) are the stalkies.
Paul is more of a softie than Victor. Yet, they both mesh well together. Keri is a strong FMC, so she really does need two men. It was funny and adorable the efforts that the two guys did to get closer to Keri. Neither one had an edge over the other. Although, it was surprising that Paul was the commanding one in the bedroom. Make sure to read this book by Irene.
This extremely entertaining story is about stalkers. Stalkers that stalk each other. Now let’s add in another stalker. Please sit down, buckle up, refrain from eating and drinking and get ready to meet Keri, Victor and Paul. Please do not consume any whipped cream prior to listening to this audiobook. Trust me, you will thank me for it later. The narration by MK Blackwood and Ryan Lee Dunlap was spectacular. MK Blackwood was perfect in her role as Keri. Ryan Lee Dunlap was fabulous as Victor and Paul. These two brought this story to life. I highly recommend listening to this hilarious audiobook.
Oh how I loved this dark romantic parody novella. I tend to fly through Irene's books regardless of the pages, and I loved that I could read this is one sitting. It was definitely a page-turner! Keri has not one, but two men watching her. So what does she do? She joins in the fun. Keri is definitely a go-getter, and I love the fact she knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid to express it. Victor and Paul are awesome and definitely made me laugh. I'll never look at whipped cream the same way, that's for sure. Highly recommend giving this quick novella a read. You won't be left unsatisfied, pun intended!
This book was dark, dangerous, and so off the wall ridiculous, and I loved every second of it! It was a stalker stalking a stalker, who also had a stalker. And also, one of the stalkers stalked the other stalker. It was a stalker cluster. And I was here for all of it. I had two complaints with this book, 1: It definitely wasn't long enough! and 2: The narrator had a lot of mouth sounds that I was distracted by. The book was delightful and funny, and not for the weak of stomach! (hint: don't eat a grasshopper pie a stranger gives you...) It was also steamy and included a bit of MFM, voyeurism, and fun shower times.
If you’re going to read this book without knowing anything about it… keep in mind that it’s a romantic parody. As someone who also enjoys dark romance and stalker MCs, I was laughing through a lot of this book and genuinely felt bad for Keri. How does one find themselves with TWO stalkers, but still not having a great time? Victor was so thrown off when Keri confronted him and Paul just kind of never left. Treble was a quick read. It’s short, funny, mildly spicy, and has a sweet ending in its own way.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Format: Audiobook - Narrated by Ryan Lee Dunlap and M.K. Blackwood Series / Standalone: Standalone
Thanks to High Gravity Productions and the author for this ALC - all opinions are my own
If you are looking for a quick, steamy listen, this one is great. The orchestra setting gives it a classy feel with a fun juxtaposition between fun fantasies come true. The surprise POV thrown in was a nice treat.
Listening to this in audio gave it an extra fun boost. The narrators did an amazing job and had me laughing out loud several times throughout.
Dual Narration- Ryan Lee Dunlap & M. K. Blackwood The narration was very good. I enjoyed both of their voices. They did a good job giving each character different voices.
This was a quick listen. Definitely funny and darkish themes.
If you want to laugh a bit at the dark romance tropes while still enjoying a cute dark story then this one is it.
Would definitely recommend for a quick easy listen.
Music, stalking, air tags and even something special in the pie. This book was hilarious to read, the main characters are all in the ensemble. Watching Keri find out that she has not one but two stalkers and the lengths they go to be near her is hot. The two “turning” points in this book were kinda funny and definitely makes you want to keep reading. Poor Paul. Absolutely obsessed with Irene’s writings and will continue to support her and her dark romantic parodies.
The narrators for this audio were great! Super clear and expressive! The story line was not for me. I don’t love when authors jam in too many plot lines and tropes into one story. In this one specifically she has one stalker, nope just kidding two stalkers but she only knows about one. One guy super almond intolerant and blows up her toilet, the other one finds him naked and punches him. They decide to share her because stalker one can make her cum but it’s mediocre, they share her once and then again on her birthday ….ya just not my story line. Oh and it’s closed door
Now I love me some Irene Bahrd quickies but this one is my favorite by far. It is the most unhinged and entertaining one yet. If you are a dark romance girlie but need a little short read to tide you over you are going to love this. If you aren’t a dark romance girlie you are still going to love it. This book will flip the script a couple of times on you so be ready. It will definitely leave you more than satisfied! Irene knows how to finish.
Absolutely fantastic little read that adds a little twist on the stalking romance trope. This book is comical, spicy, and perfect in every way. When you finally think you know what will happen she throws in a new twist for you. I absolutely devoured this audio and Ryan Lee Dunlap and MK Blackwood did a phenomenal job with the characters and adding that comical aspect in their tone. This was a great audio and highly recommend it for a short but spicy listen.
Listened to the audio of this book and loved it. Perfect quick listen that’s funny and spicy. Stalker romance with a twist and lots of humor. The narrators did an amazing job, and I’m excited to have discovered new to me narrators.
This is definitely the perfect read for you if you’re looking for a quick funny dark romance. Like, real life funny situations and LOTS of secondhand embarrassment lmaooo.
Keri, Victor & Paul….who would have thought….not me….I was team Victor 80% of the book but why have one crazy stalker when you can have two
If you are looking for a funny stalker romance give this novella a read….at less than 100 pages it goes super quick with a lot of story & familiar faced secondary characters
I enjoy almost everything this author writes. However this one did not hit the mark for me. Was a good story yes. Would I recommend it again yes. However there were a few things that were more cringy then some. In the end it was a HEA. Which I like in the end. It is a short story(novella) So if you want to have some laughs and enjoy some spicy this is for you
Keri, Paul, and Victor’s novella is fast-paced, spicy, fun, and definitely original. It’s a dark romantic parody — a first for me in this genre. Although it’s a bit outside my usual preferences, I found it creative and unique. Ryan Lee Dunlap and M.K. Blackwood did a great job bringing these characters and this story to life. #HighGravityProductions
The twist and turns. At one point, the pore FMC. When you read it, you'll understand at 1 point I felt very sorry for the FMC, and then I didn't cause because she got what she wanted in the end. 😆🤣😂😹😆🤣😂
Victor really likes Keri, and he likes to watch her to make sure she is safe. Keri knows that Victor watches her and she loves messin with him to make him worry. The cat and mouse with Victor and Paul thing they got goin on is funny. This novella is a very good fast read.
No, sorry. I could not warm up to any of the male characters and their personalities but I’m glad Keri got to experiment and goes on a self discovery journey of what she wants/likes in bed. I think I maybe missed the parody part… The narrators were very good.
Ryan Lee Dunlap and MK Blackwood did a great job with the performance on this audio.
I wish I had read the blurb for this one before I dove in to the book (totally my own fault). I would have had a much better experience reading, knowing it was supposed to be a parody. It was most definitely a parody, but I was thinking it was supposed to be a "normal" novella. I could not remove my jaw from the floor for how many twists and absurd things happening. In that regard, the book is funny, and does not need to be taken seriously.
Thank you to High Gravity Productions for the ALC. I borrowed the ebook from Kindle Unlimited.
I listened to the book. The voices were great. The book itself was a struggle to listen to. It didn't have my attention. It was good. Just wasn't my cup of tea.
