RAW EROTIC HEAT
Each story in this volume packs an emotional punch laced with strong sensual actions that keeps the reader on the edge just as much as the characters in the stories. This erotic journey starts immediately in the first story and continues through to the very end of the last story, which is the fourth story in the volume.
Rawhide: Volume One, books 1-4, presents the lifestyle of BDSM in a very open and positive way. An exceptional good read that should not be missed. Definitely recommend.

This was a fun read. Desiree Holt weaves and great sense of connection, angst, business and Kink into each book included in this volume. Dawson McBride does and outstanding job of bringing these already wonderful books to life in such an engrossing and successful way. I was pleased with the variety of story lines included in this series. Even with 13+ hours of audio I was not ready to quit listening. This is a wonderful series. I am excited that there is a Volume 2.

4 interconnected stories make up this volume by famed Erotic writer Desiree Holt. Had this been better edited, then I think I would have actually given this five stars, and I don't give out five stars easily.
The first book was about Reece, part owner of Rawhide, a BDSM club in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Because most people in the town are appalled by the lifestyle, membership is exclusive, and very private. When Reece approached his college girlfriend Katie with his predilection, and his desire for her to join him in this lifestyle, she ran. Cut to present time, when Katie is now interviewing for the Manager position at Rawhide. Reece is still in love with her, but angry that she shunned his proposal so long ago, but now seems to have no problem. After many intimate scenes and one very loooong talk (not to mention a misunderstanding), the two try and work things out.
In the second story, Liz is a horse cutter (not sure what that is, but it sounds cool), and trainer for barrel riders. Alex has a niece who is training with Liz, and when the two meet, sparks fly. When they meet later at Rawhide, there is instant attraction, but Liz has a past that she is reluctant to move forward from, especially with someone she works for.
In the third story, Clint, the other owner of Rawhide is looking for a Domme, and when he finds one, again, instant attraction for both parties, but both Montana (the Domme) and Clint have pasts that they are having trouble overcoming, and before they can move forward together, they need to resolve their personal issues.
And in the fourth and final story, twins Justin and Tucker want to find a partner that is into the Menage lifestyle. But they have been burned by a partner in the past, and Justin can't get over it. Angel is a willing participant, but the men are worried that her law career will come before they do.
The first two stories were wonderfully written, but by the third and fourth story, it was like the editor said, "let spellcheck and grammar check deal with the rest of the stories." Big mistake. Words were omitted or added. Tenses were wrong, and in the fourth story, Justin and Tucker were interchangeable, in that I had no idea who was doing what and when, and when one character was doing something, I found it hard that he could then do something else at the same time.
Editing issues aside, this was beyond steamy. Anyone looking for hot stories, look no further!
