A sheltered witch. A reckless Fae. A bond they never wanted… and a passion they can’t escape

Rules? I don’t follow them. Hearts? I don’t keep them. I live for the chase, for the thrill of taking what I want and leaving before anyone gets too close. As a Fae, passion is my power, and at Widdershins Academy, where magic pulses in every shadowed corridor, I have my pick of lovers.

Then there’s Elias Thorne.

Sweet, quiet, untouchable Elias, the witch with too much potential and too little confidence. He’s the only one who has ever dared to look at me like I’m dangerous instead of desirable. The only one who doesn’t melt under my charm. And for some reason, that makes me want him even more.

But Elias isn’t interested in my games. He sees through the mask, past the wicked smirk, to the part of me I don’t want to acknowledge. And that terrifies me.

I don’t do commitment. I don’t do love. But Elias is different, and I can’t tell if he’s my greatest weakness or my only salvation. When a magical accident binds us together, things get dangerous. Because at Widdershins Academy, witches and Fae aren’t compatible, but now that we’re bound together, neither of us has a choice.

I’ve spent my life hidden behind spellbooks and expectations. The son of a prestigious coven, I was raised to be polite, reserved, and obedient—everything Wild is not. He’s reckless, untamed, a storm wrapped in silk and sin. And he infuriates me.

He pushes, I retreat. He flirts, I ignore. But somehow, Wild always finds a way under my skin, testing my patience and my control. The worst part? I think he enjoys watching me unravel.

Then on our first day back, a wild magic accident binds us together in ways neither of us understands. Now, his magic calls to mine, a pull that’s impossible to resist. Every touch is a spark, every glance a challenge, and the more I fight him, the more I realize… I don’t want to.

Loving him means risking everything—my magic, my future, my heart. But as whispers of war spread through the academy, I begin to what if Wild is the only one who can teach me how to fight back?

Faeheart is an electrifying, enemies-to-lovers paranormal romance filled with sizzling tension, dark magic, and a love that defies all the rules. Perfect for readers who crave sharp banter, slow-burn desire, and the undeniable pull of fated souls.

This is not a MM it's a MMMM

I wouldn't have even started this series if I had known it was going to be 4 people in the bond. I really enjoyed the 1st book. So disappointing (for me, I realise other people will enjoy this i just don't.) So 2.5 stars i felt two was harsh so went with three but it's hard to rate something I dont enjoy.

Described as a MM romance, but is actually a MMMM romance. Which isn't really my thing.

The amount of people who are mad about this being more than MM is hilarious!
What could be better than two???
I loved this story, more so than the first.
My only gripe would be the overuse of "Through the bond". It either started or ended so many sentences on the same page. Usually with the word "felt", which describes the bond when talking of others.
That's my one suggestion.
On to the next 💜😁

This second volume of Widdershins Supernatural Academy is awesome!
It's a stretch from the classic scenarios of enemies-to-lovers, opposites attracting and forced closeness. This volume is intense, tragic and funny. Wild and Elias are as different as they are complementary.
Two characters whose family relationship is peculiar, two characters who ultimately hide similar wounds behind very different barriers, each dealing in their own way with being different from what's expected of them.
Elias and Wild have to learn to tolerate each other, but little by little, trust is established, the fight and their shared conviction for an open and free world bring them together, and they tame each other until they fall in love.
And then there's Caden and Atlas, who are a pleasure to meet again in these circumstances through the eyes of Wild and Elias.
This volume is full of unexpected twists and surprises.
Ancient and powerful magic, secrets, powerful and rare bonds, betrayals, but also intense carnal and emotional love.
Just read it!

-----

SOOOO not what I was expecting. It was better, deeper and more magical. I have mixed feelings about the MMMM aspect. Polyamory isn’t for me, but this magic based, not reality, and Macy Blake’s THE CHOSEN ONE series kinda prepared me for this. It appears the quartet will be sidelined for a bit, but I truly hope we see them again.

I’m glad I skipped straight to the end of the book instead of reading it. I wish the right tags had been put on it, but it is what it is. Unfortunately, this completely ruined the pleasant impression I had from the first book.

Was the book perfect? No—but I didn’t expect a fully fleshed-out magic system in a smut book. That said, the plot was super engaging—I flew through it in two days. The characters were great, and it builds off the previous book in a really satisfying way. I especially loved that the smut was baked into the plot.

Book two of the Supernatural academy. This was a WILD ride. Literally. Things happened that I didn't see coming. A bond is formed which neither expected- a strong bond- they have to navigate to emotions, conflicts, and fight against dark magic. The world-building is phenomenal. One of the best. This book focus on Wild and Elias, however you'll meet Atlas and Caden again, who also play a role in this book. It is very spicy. Loved it !

Couldn’t put it down

This was a good book. I honestly read it in an afternoon. I am happy that Caden and Atlas were in this book with the new characters of Elias and Wild. The banter between Elias and Wild was on point. I highly recommend reading these books in order to get the full experience.

This is book two in the author’s Widdershin’s Academy series and features mates, Caden and Atlas from book one, Hexmate, along with Caden’s roommate, Wild and it also introduced a new character—stuffy and oh so proper—Elias Thorne.

The four MCs became inextricably bound (Altas by way of being mated to Caden) by the power emitted by the resonance stones given to them in order to study and learn the old magic—amplifying their own power—given to Caden, Elias and Wild. Every bit of magic they could muster was needed to fight a magical purist group, fighting against anything other than pure blood witches.

I was loving this book, the bonds between Elias and Wild and that of Caden and Atlas… even if they could all sense the feelings of the others… was perfect. ***SPOILER ALERT*** They clearly loved their mates but when they started sharing, it kinda lost me. How much can you really love your mate if you’re willing to share them and be shared yourself? I don’t pretend to think I know best, that’s just my personal preference; two people, so in love with each other that they can’t even SEE anyone else. That’s what I wanted for Caden and Atlas and Elias and Wild so I was kinda let down when that happened. Although this wasn’t my favorite book, I’m still looking forward to the next book in the series. If you haven’t already read book one, Hexmate, I urge you to check it out, I think you might enjoy it. For Faeheart though, 4 stars.

I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review

I DNF’d this. It’s advertised as an MM but it’s an MMMM. I don’t enjoy reading books with sharing and if this had kept it just to a magic bond that didn’t move to anything physically between all 4, I wouldn’t have an issue but that’s not the case here. More power to those who enjoy books with sharing and poly relationships and I’m not here to shame them, but I don’t like reading them and it makes the love seem disingenuous. I would never have read this second one if it was advertised properly and I sincerely hate when authors do this, as it’s not honest and feels like you’re tricking people into downloading your book. It’s also fully ruined book 1 for me because it makes their relationship seem less…big? I guess? It’s shitty to take couple 1 from book 1 who had this grand romance and are fated mates and then have them fucking couple 2 in book 2. Hard pass.

This book has great potential but the relationships and the story both move WAY too fast and the writing and plot both have far too many cliches. I would overlook some of either issue, but it’s so pervasive I had to DNF at 30%

Continuing on a TBR/Beat-The-Backlog kick (and ignoring my ARCs kick). Here's "Faeheart" by Blake R Wolfe. It's the second novel in his Widdershins Supernatural Academy series.

["A sheltered witch. A reckless Fae. A bond they never wanted… and a passion they can’t escape

I loved how they were so different, and yet, deep down, they were nearly the same. They both wanted freedom and acceptance and love without obligations/expectations/strings. And the soul recognition?! On top of literally everything else?! D: End me.

This book was so much more than the first novel It exceeded all expectations and predictions. It shocked even the Elder Council. It was glorious in this history and power and presence and connection. It was beautiful, in so many fucking ways.

Trigger Warnings: toxic parents, discrimination, violence, and more.

This book captivated me right from the start - but be sure to read book 1 first as they are heavily connected.
This book has a new main character, Elias, who has been raised to be extremely proficient in the spells he crafts and all within the approved guidelines. His main love interest is Wild, appropriately named as he is a wild and carefree fae. The straightlaced witch and the chaotic fae do not start out on the best of terms, but it doesn't take long for their true hearts, secret desires, and unexpected connections to reveal themselves. Caden and Atlas return from book one, and the four of them are given a special assignment at the academy, one that brings about surprising events to everyone. This new revelation brings even more danger, and the four of them must learn to develop and control new powers along with their new personal connections. Danger and violence, betrayal, self doubts, great power, secrets revealed, and love so powerful it changes everything.
This book was engaging and highly entertaining. The connections between the four MC's was well developed, as was their individual characteristics. The world building was intriguing and I enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend reading this book after book 1.
There is another book to follow, with two new characters, but I don't know if they will be as interconnected as the four in this book or if it will be a different story arc.

I received an ARC, this is my honest, unbiased opinion.

This was kind of a fun story to read but I’m not sure if I liked it as much as I liked the first one. On it’s own I’d give it high star ratings, but I did really like the first one.

I was pretty excited when finishing the last book that Wild’s book would be next because I was really excited to see his story as a character. I love Wild and wanted to see more of him. I was not disappointed on that front although I personally felt like we spent more of the story with Elias than Wild. I also was not really expecting the romance to go the way it did. I was expecting a book about Wild and Elias. No a book about Wild, Elias, Atlas, and Caden. I don’t think that’s a bad thing – I just think it wasn’t what I was told was going to be in the story.

I also felt like some parts of the book were a bit rushed or slightly out of place. The whole final solution to defeating the Purity Front did just feel a bit rushed and kind of ridiculous with the fast-paced redemption arc. I am still interested to see what will happen in the next book, mostly for the plot because I want to know how the Academy is going to deal with the aftermath of the battle and rising hate groups on campus especially with one of the main characters of the next book being Karrick. The spicy level in this book was a level 5.

Overall, I would rate this book a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. It was overall pretty good, but some parts of the story did feel a bit clunky.

Well book 2 in the Widdershins Supernatural Academy took us for a ride. This book focuses on Wild, a fae who doesn't follow the rules and does his own thing. Elias, a witch who is very structured and doesn't step out of line.
These two are tossed into something that is a lot bigger and a bond that neither one wanted but sometimes things happen for a reason.
Caden and Atlas from Hexmate (book 1) play a big part in Faeheart. The four of them are tossed deep into fighting for their lives and dealing with dark magic the likes of nothing that they have dealt with before.
Lots of tension, enemies to lovers, family drama, secrets, mate bonds and a love worth fighting for.
I would recommend reading book one.

Faeheart is book two of the Widdershins Supernatural Academy series and what an exciting, delight it is. It's an opposites attract, enemies to lovers story featuring a witch, Elias, and a Fae, Wild, who really lives up to his name. They join Caden and Atlas, book one's mains in a special project assigned by the academy. It's a dangerous assignment and Elias and Wild need to work together to survive. Lots of secrets, lots of steam, a few dangling plotlines that should be resolved in book three.
A fun, exciting read. I kept putting it down to draw the story out, because I didn't want it to end, Great pacing, wonderful worldbuilding. Can't wait for book three.
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.

I just loved this book! Sooo well written! What a story! We already loved Caden and Atlas... and met Wild through their story.... now we have Wild and Elias.... who are thrown together with Caden to form a magical triune against the "bad guys"... a force to be reckoned with...then of course since Atlas is bonded to Caden, he must be part of the union... now a "tetrad".... a foursome of magic, with powers so much stronger the more they unite... hot love story, but such a intense ride, filled with action, magic and surprises... never a dull moment... highly recommend.

Elias and Wild, Caden and Atlas . . .

Bound together and forced to share living quarters . . . What could possibly go wrong? . . . Enemies to lovers. Check! . . . One of the best tropes out there. Next! . . . Good boy vs bad boy. Who doesn't love a misunderstood bad boy who's not really bad? . . . Impossible sexual tension? Check . . . I fail to see the problem here . . . An eventual foursome 👀 . . . Can we just go ahead and wrap this up in a litt;e bow so I can take it with me? Thanks!!

I really enjoyed the 1st book in this series. Caden and Atlas fought incredible odds to be together. I was looking forward to Wild’s book. Could not stomach that it turned into one big orgy. It diminished Caden and Atlas’s love story. No romance in this book at all. Super disappointed and am sorry I even started the series.

When I tell you I was in no way prepared for how this book would go I mean that completely.

Same as book 1 it could do with more editing, just little inconsistencies, but honestly? I don’t even care.

What an incredible story! A witch, a fae, a dryad and a werewolf form a bond that transforms the very fabric of magic. Their story helps others who are for purity, detailing the characters in their own story.
This was an epic book that I will definitely be reading again!
