I'm a dog man, so seeing a couple of cute doggos engaging in a little gentle mischief after escaping from their fenced yard just fills me with joy. Simple rhymes keep the story moving quickly while the detailed illustrations make you want to just stop and admire them for a bit.
Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from the author through the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program.
The story is fine - dogs who are friends escape their yard - but it is the pictures that make this a treat. Cute, detailed dogs on almost every page and a really great squirrel. The animals have lots of personality.
Such a cute story! The rhyming style of storytelling makes this story one kids will want to read again and again. I love knowing that Sadie and Moose are real characters living the good life in Texas! The illustrations are so pretty and add so much to the story. I hope to hear many more Sadie and Moose adventures!
