I have to confess that these books were in a genre that I had never read. In many ways, these stories are mostly erotica with a little story to puff it up.
The plots were very predictable and grossly anti-women. This was not romance but bullying via sex.
I do not recommend these books. There are so many good romance stories out there that don’t have the woman on her knees begging for sex.
I was given this book for free in order to give an honest review.
This was an enjoyable read. Ryan is on break from the SEAL's. He sees a woman getting mugged and comes to her rescue. That woman of course ends up being Giselle. The problem is that she isn't just your average person. She happens to be an actual princess. They do end up spending time together even though at times it is difficult. Luckily in the end they are able to get the happy ending they both deserve.
Ryan Shelton is a Navy SEAL on leave in France. He's been on his own since his mother lost custody and he was turned over to foster care. The abuse he endured while in foster care drove him to become a SEAL where he could protect and serve those in need. He's all alone in this world and he feels his lack of entanglements makes him a better soldier. His plans for a week of debauchery change after he rescues a woman being robbed.
Princess Giselle Katherine Garabaldi of Santa Carinña is to be married in a month and escaped to France for a week of freedom, before the wedding. Only nothing goes as planned. She's mugged and allows an American SEAL to take her in rather than face her daddy. A SEAL she becomes very attracted to but can't have.
It's difficult to like Giselle and her character is not very believable. She's twenty-two and the author would have us believe that her being pampered and spoiled all her life, wouldn't have included necessary safety and protection protocols training?
They both serve their countries in different ways. She's promised to another man and he's to his country making their relationship doomed from the start, but it doesn't seem to stop them. There's little believability in this romance, but if you want a whimsical, fairytale romance with a hot, lonely SEAL and a virginal princess this is the book for you.
I received a free e-book in exchange for an honest review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/

Royally smoothing out the rough edges The Princess and the SEAL (Heroes Ever After Book 3) by Alana Alberston is a well written military romance with fairy tale undertones. These characters drew me in and didn’t let go til the very end. Ryan and Giselle, as opposites as one can get, are more than made for each other in spite of their overwhelming differences. Ryan is truly a rough, alpha playboy who finds himself behaving in unusual ways around Giselle, and not just because she’s a real Princess. Giselle, is the sweetest thing! At a disadvantage for having lived such a sheltered life, she finds herself beyond her abilities to manage and take care of herself. The plot of this book was a sort of tennis match. Both of these characters talking themselves into and out of things constantly. Never a dull emotional moment. And once they both let their guards down, the sexual tension explodes in live technicolor chemistry. Overall, a wonderful modern day fairy tale when the frog really does become the Prince Charming with the Princess and a HEA. I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
Will the Princess and the SEAL put their duty first I loved the steam coming off Ryan and Princess Giselle almost from the start when Ryan comes to Giselle’s rescue because that is what a SEAL does. Giselle wants to have her last chance of freedom before her arranged marriage in a month. Ryan wants to explore the history of Normandy during his week vacation. What happens is anything but expected when Ryan and Giselle explore the area and Paris. Add in an incident with Giselle’s reckless fiance who you hate from the instant Giselle mentions him. After spending the next week in San Diego, you will be rooting for Giselle to break off her engagement. But when duty calls, what will the Princess and the Frogman do? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down.
The Princess and The SEAL is the third book in the Heroes Ever After series by Alana Albertson. It is the first book in this series that I have read so I was not sure what to expect as I have read other books by her which are not based on a fairytale. I found this book to be quite delightful and fun..........along with steamy and sensual. I am not going to lie as the story itself is quite predictable and I did roll my eyes a few times but it is a nice piece of fluffy fun to read in between reading darker or grittier stories. Overall I liked this book and the characters. Plus I always love Alana writing style.
I received an ARC of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I was given an arc copy of this book for an honest read
This was quite a short read for me but I really enjoyed it all the same
The story is as it says in the title a princess of a small country is promised to a prince of another smallish country but deciding to use the last few weeks of her freedom to travel unaided gets mugged and rescued by a navy seal who is having some down time
It’s kinda love at first sight although neither realises at this point both thinking more lust and in princess giselle case more experience and a way of loosing her virginity to someone she isn’t forced as such to be with
This author is definitely for you, anyway you can get her!!
Once again, Alana Albertson delivers a fantastic seal romance with all the feels, great characters, and a plenty of trouble too. This book had everything I love in a great romance from the heart pounding twist and turns, the drama, and is packed with heart, heat, and all the feels. If this is what you love in your romance books then THIS AUTHOR is definitely for you, any way you can get her. Go one click today. A must read. Happy reading everyone!!
The best laid plans… Ryan is a SEAL, who lives by a strict code of honor while on duty; however, he completely forgets it when he isn’t. Rescue the “damsel” in distress, of course; however, his plans for a “reward” are thwarted when he discovers she is a princess. Their romance is short lived; however, when she can’t get out of her arranged marriage. Or can she? Can they both find the happiness and love they deserve? You’ll truly enjoy finding out for yourself. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I've always heard the saying about having to kiss a few frogs to find a prince. I didn't know that by frogs they meant a Navy SEAL.....that might be fun!! This addition to Ms. Albertson's "Heroes Ever After" series is just what it says it is. A story about a princess looking for a little excitement/freedom before an arranged marriage and the SEAL that provides it.
*I received a copy of this book via Hidden Gems which I am voluntarily reviewing*
Ryan is a Navy SEAL who grew up in foster care after his mother lost custody. He was abused while in foster care so no he loves to protect and serve people in need. Princess Giselle wants a week of freedom before her wedding so she takes off for France. When she gets mugged, Ryan saves her. They spend time together but she returns home to get married.
Some things felt uncomfortable. Like why would a truly sheltered person kiss a stranger right in the first day they meet or make out. Also SEALs keep their identities hidden and this character kept repeating and identifying himself as a SEAL, repeatedly. I received a free copy of this book and I voluntarily reviewed it.
On a vacation, which starts unexpectedly by rescuing a damsel in distress, only to find he now had a bonafide princess on his hands. His original ideas of how to have a memorable experience was swept out the door, and it became a different way of getting to know a woman than this Navy SEAL had ever had. I won't go further, but it's a modern fairytale, without a doubt.
Okay story. There were some very cringe-worthy moments, but an okay book. The book was well written, no glaring edits to take me out of the story. The characters just didn't grab me or feel particularly endearing. I am going to walk away from the series at this point, and possibly revisit the last couple later
What is with the American marrying royalty that gets me every time? I love it! I was obsessed with meghans marriage and this read was like the next best thing!
This was a quick, short read. But fun & entertaining with some twists. Good characters. I received a free arc copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This story was okay. I wasn’t very invested in the characters or what happened to them. Giselle didn’t have much depth. Ryan’s history was hinted at then glossed over. Love at (almost) first sight.
She is absolutely a crazy, stupid, shallow princess from a country far far away. Some lala land fairytale country of idiots. I can hear her awful sweet and I mean very sweet voice. She is this Oh No I’m an innocent pure engaged and also a cheating princess virgin 🤮
