Johanna Bergqvist was born and raised in Sweden but packed up her life and moved to Sydney after one magical Christmas Eve when a kiss stole her heart.

Now, she spends her days writing, reading, sweating at the gym, drinking too much coffee, playing with her dog, working as a Head Sailing Coach, and dreaming of the day she can write steamy romance for a living.

I absolutely loved this book. I basically tell everybody I come across that they must get their hands on a copy!

I was completely hooked by the first chapter and could not put the book down. Johanna’s writing style is packed with emotion, wit, and humour. When you are reading you feel like you are part of the world she has created. I fell in love with all the characters, laughing along side them in the funny moments and shedding a tear during the difficult times.


I cannot wait for the next book! I will definitely read anything Johanna Bergqvist puts out, she is certainly one of my new favourite authors!

Hidden Confessions is somehow both deeply emotional and entertainingly witty. This book blends stories of friendship, personal development, grief and romance, and is an easy read you won’t want to put down.

The quick changes of perspective between Eve and Elliot - the two protagonists, makes the story fast paced, and amplifies the emotional turmoil and tension between the characters.

Overall, really enjoyed this novel whilst on vacation and am looking forward to reading more from the author.

From someone who has never really liked reading, I couldn’t put this book down! I finished it in just a few days, and it had me captivated from start to finish. The characters are so well written and I found myself properly engrossed in the story, like they were my best fiends too - and I really wish they were! It’s fun and witty while still touching on deep topics like grief, and the romance is top tier. It took me on a complete emotional rollercoaster and I want to do it all again! I can’t wait for the next book

Was privileged to be at Johanna’s 1st book launch.
I loved reading Hidden Confessions. Couldn’t put it down, finished it in a couple of days.
Everyone would die to have an Elliot in their life. Please send me one.
I can’t believe this is only Johanna’s 2nd book that she has published. She has beautiful writing skills & warmth to all the characters.
I’m sure that it won’t be too long until everyone knows who Johanna Bergqvist is
I cant wait till the next book comes out.

Oh MY GOSH I loved this book!!! It got me excited to sit down and read it every day, which I haven’t had with a book in a while! It was so well written, I loved how it made me feel and I just wanted to read more, when I finished it, I was sad that I couldn’t read on! I could see this turned into a mini tv series like Leanne Moriarty has had done with her novels which I also love!

A book filled with beautifully vivid descriptions that both developed the friendships, tension and romance between the characters, and urged me to read on.

With each chapter the energy and stake increased like the back and forth of a grand slam tennis match. I loved it and the more I read, the more I struggled to put it down each night before bed. Just one more chapter I kept telling my tired eyes!

This steamy romance is a must read for all the lovers xx
