While there were a couple of places in this book where I was lost, wondering why the setting changed and thinking, "that's not the correct word," when I reached the very end, I was STUCK. I enjoyed this book, thoroughly, and it is definitely on par with what I've come to expect from this author. It's definitely a story within a story, which means I wouldn't suggest it as a stand alone. However, if you know anything about Ms. Felicia, this book gives a bird's eye view into who she is, how she became, and the characters around her. Looking to find her place in a world where those who should love you are busy playing the game of survival in the streets, trying too hard to live for self to live with you, and neglecting to care for you in even the most basic of human forms is the center of this young lady's story. There is betrayal, loss, and disappointment...what does one do with all of this? Well, Traci Bee does a great job of continuing the story here.
