I've spent my life fighting. It numbs the pain and keeps the darkness from consuming me. Then I found her. Sweet and innocent with haunted eyes. She was worth fighting for. I dare her father or the man he wants her to marry to try to take her from me. I found her, and now she's all mine.
Some things are worse than death, and he wanted to save me from them all....
I should fear him. Rich Haven is cut, tattooed, and dangerous. The man is a lethal weapon. Scared is the last thing I feel though, when I'm in his arms. For the first time in my life, I feel safe. A feeling that I'm not accustomed to when it comes to men.
But when her past comes calling, he’ll have to fight to keep her, no matter the cost.
Welcome to Lighthouse Landing, a place filled with brooding heroes and sweetly sassy heroines covered with innocence. All these heroes are fiercely in pursuit of claiming their women and giving them their happily ever afters… and a little extra. *wink*
It's short and insta-love. I liked this novella best because the MCs are the same age, unlike the first two. Also, this couple lasted a bit longer before they even acted on their attraction (1 week is still much longer than 2 or 3 days, so…🤷). If readers want something quick to pass time, this would be ideal for that, imo.
Overall, it was okay, but I wasn't invested in it that much. I feel like at the end of the book, I still have no idea who Fallon is. But I ate up Rich's OTT obsession and possessiveness of her and how he could care less about other people as long as he has her. 🤭
Book info: - Novella - Insta-love - Dual V - Mention of abuse - No cheating, real OM/OW, separation - HEA (yrs later, married and with kids)
Notes: - OM. Fallon was about to marry someone of her father's choosing. She jumped off the boat to get away from them. That's how she and Rich met. He saved her when she got cramps. - OW. There's a wannabe OW who tried to flirt with Rich, but he was not having any of it. He didn't even let the woman touch him and was actually a real jerk when he shut her down. 🫣

DUAL VIRGINS! Each others one and only EVERYTHING! *booty shake, happy dance!*
Safe No cheating Unwanted OM (she escapes from an arranged marriage and we meet the unwanted OM, but there is not much info on him other than our heroine desperately wanting to flee) Unwanted OW (there is a girl Rich knew from school that tried to flirt with him, but he shuts that down quickly and abruptly; she tries to put her hand on his chest but before she could, he grabbed her wrist and told her he does not want to be touched! I LOVE IT!! That is how unwanted OW's should be put in their place!) No separation No third act break up No gross condom use HEA
This is my favorite of the series! Dare I say this is my favorite Lucy Darling novel! It is perfection because there is so much emphasis on them being each others first, last and only everything, which is what I crave in DV! We get Rich's inner monologue about how new he is to sex and intimacy, same as Fallon and I relished every bit of this goodness. THIS is what I want from one and only couples! Details of how they feel experiencing their firsts together and how happy they are to experience them with the love of their life, giving all their firsts to each other. That is what was missing in the second book between King and Willa (even though in my heart I consider them a DV couple), Lucy Darling makes up for it with Rich and Fallon. It is all sweetness between them, just how I like it. The story is fairly simple. Fallon was abused by her father and is forced to marry a man she does not want. She is in her wedding dress on a boat, but she decides to strip of this wedding gown, jumps in the water and swims to shore. She gets a cramp, looks up at a hooded figure on the pier and starts to sink. She accepts death, as she would rather meet the grim reaper than be stuck in a marriage to a man she doesn't want, especially since she never wanted a man before. Little does she know, her forever, jumps in to pull her out of the water. A brooding, scarred Rich just came out of the ring, victorious. It's another night of him beating his opponent into oblivion, venting his anger and rage he has felt for a long time. He is on the pier gazing into the night, only to look down and see a small figure sinking in the water. Instinctively he takes his hoodie off and dives in, rescuing this person. He brushes her hair away from her face and is greeted by the most perfect sight that has him in an emotional choke hold, which he gives into gladly. In front of him is the most perfect face, belonging to the only woman he ever felt attraction to. His reaction to his dollface goes far deeper. Since she got out of her wedding gown, and is only in her underwear, he covers her in his hoodie and holds her body near, coaxing her to open her eyes. Fallon wakes up in his arms, but smartly feigns sleep. Rich knows she is pretending, and is frightened, so he talks to her like he would a scared kitten and she opens her eyes. Emerald green stare back at him, as his own eyes widen in wondrous amazement. He is staring at his future, at the only woman who has ever gained his attention. She is his, and later in the novel we see how completely he belongs to her as well. *sweet sigh, closing my eyes, basking in the romance* Fallon gazes at the only man deep down she knows she can trust. She doesn't understand why, she just instinctively buries her head in his chest seeking protection and comfort. In the book, she experiences the wonders of friendship and family as well, which is new to her, as is being attracted to a man. As she is being taken care of by Rich in the manor, she is becoming friends with Teddy and Willa, who are caring and warm to her, but only after Rich had days and nights with Fallon in his arms. They only slept in the same bed, as he was terrified of going too far too soon considering how she seemed a tad skittish, and it is so adorable how possessive he is of her time, wanting to be alone with her for as long as possible. Fallon battles her fears of opening up to all things new, she was sheltered from everything and as Rich heals her, he in turn is also healed by his Fallon. She soothes his anger and in its stead replaces it with passion, deep love, affection and devotion. Rich feels a lightness that he has never felt before. His relationship with his sister improved (that made me smile), and his relationship with the two heroes from the first book, turned from argumentative and aggressive to a brotherly bond forged in respect and understanding. Fallon's father and the "former fiancé" have their comeuppance, courtesy of Rich, but it was not described in detail. Only that they got what they deserved for making his dollface's life a living hell. She knows now what it feels like to be loved and feel safe. When she is in her man's arms she feels warmth, safety and affection, all things she soaks in happily. The book is mainly their love story, and interactions with the two couples from the first two books in the series. I am so happy that Lucy Darling added a detail about King (the hero in the second book), that Rich NEVER saw him with a woman, and that he stays away from them as he was never interested. So that made me love King more!
I only want to include one quote that encapsulates beautifully what I treasure most in romance, Quote (Rich's inner monologue), She has given herself to me, and she always owns every damn part of me. I thrust slowly in and out of her at first. This is why I waited. I was always supposed to end up here with her. The one woman in the world that can open up parts of me I never knew existed. end quote
This is the only quote in this review since I want to relive the DV magic of our couples giving into intimacy together for the first time, happy that they are each others one and only. Rich knows why he was never interested in women before; because he was meant to belong entirely to Fallon and I find that to be so romantic! He never let ANYONE touch him EVER, even when he was in school! His sister Willa and Teddy (his pseudo sister) barely were able to give him the occasional hug. Fallon claimed ALL of her man which is what I live for, same goes for Rich, who claims all of her firsts in return. That made the sex between them incredibly intense and the sweetness in their pillow talk that followed made my heart melt. The sex goes from sweet to scorching back to sweet in the most delightful way. Details like that is what I hungrily devour in romance. When I got to that part of the book, I literally clasped my hands together, gasped and did a little happy hop! One more thing, our couple never fight or argue. It is only sweetness on sweetness between them, just how I like it! I can go on forever but I will end my review just so I can reread this little gem again today. It is high on my reread list! I will be reading it very often and I know it will fill my hopelessly romantic heart when it feels empty. I urge you to read it. If you love one and only couples and you find great delight in seeing them discover all forms of intimacy together, you will enjoy Rich and Fallons story immensely. I am so happy that Lucy Darling is embracing DV romance. It makes my heart so happy! Happy reading!
Perfect ending to the Lighthouse Landing series. These novellas are so cute and addictive. I loved the theme from the start.
This final book feels tender, passionate and especially a well-rounded, comforting goodbye to the characters and the setting. I still think there could be a spin-off series with new characters on the same island :-D
Rich, Willa's brother and an MMA fighter, needed his HEA too. And boy he gets it! Heroic start filled with danger and emotion. Rich proves his inner strength and outer power when he becomes a hero to our heroine, sweet damsel in distress Fallon. I loved them together.
He is intensely caring and protective all throughout the story. She's also brave and strong, yet in such a danger that only a fierce protector will do. And there's also wonderful interaction with the other two couples filled with good-humoured banter and family dynamics.
Beautiful feeling of belonging at last. Throw in some hot times and a satisfying revenge and all is well in the world ;-).
Dare I say Rich & Fallon are my favorite couple of this series? Because I really enjoyed their book sooooo much! There’s something so sweet about young first love that turns into a forever love, and Rich & Fallon were so sweet to each other where you can’t help but adore them. The story was fast, easy to read, and the ending was awesome. What a great ending to this three book series!
Very interesting plot and characters, too. This is the first book othe Lighthouse Landing Series and is finely Rich's turn at a HEA. And it came in a dark night when he saved the woman that it would change hus life forever. Fallon was forced to flee in the dark from her father, and the man she was being forced to marry and what she found on the other side was freedom and love. Recommended
The whole series is a bit lighthearted for my taste. No real violence. Fallon was fine, instalove without any reason. We learned nothing from her. Only that her father had arranged a marriage. And he was controlling her. No hobbies, likes and dreams.
This was a fun novella. Of course its OTT and insta-love but it worked.
I liked that they were the same age and both inexperienced. I didn't think the plot was overly unique or the writing very good. It was just a fun and ok novella.
For me… this is perfect!!! This is the final book of the story. I bought all of them because the 3 books are amazing to me. Maybe this Book 3 is the best one (although the other ones are very close).
Why this story is perfect? (At least almost perfect, I would’ve added a little detail for it to be 100% perfect - I’ll write it below). First of all, we have DV!!!! Yeeeeesssss!!! Second, and related to the first reason, he doesn’t like to be touched!!! Except for his girl of course. Not even had a first kiss until Fallon kissed him!! He even struggled at first to even be hugged by his sister, Willa, or by Teddy (his sister’s best friend - whom he also considers his sister). Next reasons… he is possessive, obsessed, and super protective of Fallon from the first time he sees her face. She started super shy, not knowing who to trust after escaping her controlling father, who was sending her to marry a bad man the same day she escaped. Rich protected her even from his family which were trying to befriend her and care for her. He is such a rough and tough guy. Until she came to his life. He became such a sweet soft guy but only with her. He was patient, so patient with her. He wanted to protect and help her escape whatever was after her. He claimed her as his from the start!! He would’ve left his fights if it came to that, he just wanted her.
Her nickname suits her. His is described as a giant, and her being so petite she must look like his little doll.
Ufff, when Rich hit King in the face!!! That shocked me. But, yeah, he kinda deserved it by using Fallon as bait. Secrets don’t work well in a family. Even West was kept out of the loop. So, King messed up. But I liked that he apologized. He’s a good one too. In this book, Rich also said he has never seen King with a woman, so it confirms me again (after reading his book) that he hasn’t been with anyone and it was a DV book too. All 3 books would be considered DV stories. imo.
It was weird reading that he broke her hymen with his finger 🤔 . And he assured her it won’t hurt because he looked it up? Hmmm. Okay. Their first time is described so beautifully. He took such special care of her, even being a virgin himself. Being so gentle, so sweet with her. Exploring, and learning each other… as the first time should be. It was lovely to read. I felt their emotional connection there. This is how a DV story should be told. It has all the things that makes me swoon and that I like in the MCs and in the story.
As for Fallon, you see her grow slowly. She stops being shy around the girls and started a beautiful friendship with them. She got to see what a real family is. She became bold, secure of herself, and such a pillar for Rich. Even her simple touch calmed him instantly. It was lovely.
The scene where Rich went to get Fallon in the crowd (because he is an overprotective guy) and saw her pale and afraid face of someone there… this scene was awesome. How he shouted her name and she looked at him with relief while being afraid… awww. And when he shouted “Hey” to the guy that was walking toward Fallon (the “fiancé”). Oh, I knew trouble was coming his way. I just loved this scene. Especially when only she could make Rich stop with just saying his name.
I loved that we get to also spend time with the MCs from Book 1 & 2. You can feel the love in this family and how important these women are in this family. They are the glue, the ones that put these men in their place. When they told them to get their act together and be nice with each other because they were a family, that no secrets should be allowed, that they should be a team… that was so beautifully put. These girls are awesome. When the boys went to talk it out, it cemented this family forever. They became brothers (like Willa told them).
The only thing that would’ve made this story completely perfect is some details on the moment Rich saw Fallon’s father and the guy - “fiancé”. Not the violent part because it isn’t the style of the series. But at least the starting conversation and the fear in her dad’s face when he saw her giant protector arrive to bring their punishment.
I really, really, really love this book. I’m glad I bought it. And will definitely read it again. I’m in love with the men in this series.
It’s super SAFE and I recommend the read for those that like a low-angst but with some action in the storyline.
SAFE - Dual virgins. Yayyy!!! - ow: a girl tried to touch him (put her hand on his chest) but he grabbed her wrist stopping her before she even touched him (he doesn’t like to be touched) and was rude to her telling her not to touch him, he embarrassed her in front of everyone basically - om: she was arranged to get married with a guy that showed up at a fight, but Rich beat his face - separation/breakups: no - cheating/sharing: no - possible triggers: violence, almost drowning (h), fights - he’s a fighter, arranged marriage, talk of human trafficking for a slight moment - HEA: yes

This book was so good, and Rich and Fallon was so cute. Liked this book the most of the series.
- Heroine on the run - Novella - Insta-love - Dual V - No cheating or real owd/omd
Omd: h was set up to marry another man by her father, she jumps out of the boat and swims to land where H find her just to get away.
Owd: Not really, but a girl from his school who’s interested in him tries to flirt and touch him before a fight, he shuts her up immediately but the h sees this in a video and gets jealous. He was never interested or given her the time of day before. Nothing more that this little scene, H never given any attention to ow before h.

I've been waiting for Rich's story with tons of excitement. Rich seemed like the big, broody type that would only melt for his one, and we definitely got that in this book. I loved his with Fallon. The man knew what to do the moment they touched. Their story is fast paced and mildly steamy. I loved everything about it. Their connection was just adorable. I can't wait to see what else Lucy Darling has in store.
I was so excited when I saw this in my email on yesterday. Fallon and Rich are my absolute favorite couple from this series. The instant love and devotion he gave to her with no questions was it for me. This was the best love story from this series you will love it from beginning to end.
Rich's life is spiraling out of control. His sisters are keeping secrets from him and he has lost his purpose. The only thing he has left is fighting. Until he saves a girl from drowning at the docks after winning his fight. Now he found his only reason for living. Only problem is she has secrets too and he has to find out who she was running from so he can keep her forever.
Great conclusion to this series! I really enjoyed this story and felt these two characters were extremely likable. Fallon is literally escaping her life when Rich finds her. Rich sees her and practically states ‘Finders Keepers’… or think of him as licking her and claiming her. He’s super sweet even when he’s territorial!!! I’m going to miss these two!
Rich has been angry and fighting most of his life so when he rescues Fallon from drowning she becomes his every reason for living. Fallon was running from an arranged marriage and almost died in the process. These two just needed each other and now their lives are forever changed.
This is the last in the series and it’s Rich’s story. After a fight one night he fishes Fallon out of the water. He realizes she’s frightened but he knows he can save her if she’ll let him. Rich and Fallon Andre a great couple once Fallon realizes he would never hurt her, would always protect her. Fast paced and steamy I loved this story.
So happy to be back with this family! And with Fallon, that family is complete. You could almost hear the click of the two pieces fitting together when Rich and Fallon “met”. Everything started to make sense for Rich and he finally found his peace. Fallon is the sweetest girl ever and absolutely perfect for Rich and for this family. Short, sweet and a little steamy too!
The third book in the Lighthouse Landing Series was fantastic! Rich and Fallon's story stole my heart. It had all the elements I adore: a rugged, brooding hero and a kind-hearted heroine. The romance was perfectly balanced, and the love story was genuinely sweet.
Rich needed to soften up, and Fallon was the right person to do it. She was truly his reason. She gave him a purpose. Happy to read their HEA. I really enjoyed this series!
I love, love Rich and Fallon, they just belong to each other! Such a powerful, wonderful and beautiful healing love story! Soo soo good and soo soo H.O.T I absolutly loved it and highly recommend this series! 😍❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🥰
Loved Fallon and Rich. They are both so scarred in their previous lives, it is heartbreaking and lovely to see them help put each other back together and become whole individually and amazing together. Sad to see this series end, but loved it.
Loved it . Ty for writing a great story that held my attention throughout the whole book. I loved they were both pure n loved the characters' dynamics. I have nothing to complain about, which is very rare for me. I enjoyed my reading. Ty
I suggest reading this series in order. There was so much pain, but what they found in and because of each other was fantastic!! I loved all the little details and descriptions that pulled all three stories together for a fantastic conclusion !! Loved their epilogue.
