While discussions about the inclusion of LGBT people in Catholic spaces are more common now, they weren't when Father Paul came out. His memoir is a truly moving story of reconciling his faith, priestly vocation, and sexual orientation. As a millennial LGBT catholic I can say that the church is a better for people like me today because of the work of Father Paul.
