About the author

Anita Ganeri is a highly experienced author of children’s information books, specialising in religion, India/Asia, multiculturalism, geography, biography and natural history. She became a freelance writer after working at Walker Books (as foreign rights manager) and Usborne Publishing (as an editor). Since then, she has written over 300 titles, including the best-selling Horrible Geography series for Scholastic. The series won the Geographical Association Silver Award in 1999 and was cited as being ‘an innovation that all geographers will applaud’. She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society where she conducts most of her research for the books.

Buku yang menarik tentang bencana alam yang dilengkapi dengan Augmented Reality yang memberikan 'pengalaman digital' kepada pembaca, bukan saja membaca tentang jenis bencana, bahkan menyaksikan sendiri sebahagian fragment bencana berkenaan seperti puting beliung, gempa bumi dan letusan gunung berapi. Bagaimanapun buku ini memerlukan aplikasi Apple atau Android untuk 'mengalami' pengalaman buatan itu. Mungkin suatu hari nanti, ia tak memerlukan peranti lain tetapi hanya dengan membuka buku, pengalaman realiti digital itu akan tampil dengan sendiri.

WOW!!!! Make room for more technology and bring on the interactive reader. Augmented Reality is here in a Storm-Ragous way! https://www.carltonbooks.co.uk/ are new to me and I would not have discovered them had I not randomly picked up a book at our local library. I wanted to get something that was not a chapter book or a book for early readers so I picked by cover again and Wow am I not disappointed. I can’t wait to share these books with the children I work with. Here’s a brief overview of how this easily worked. Pick a Carlton Augmented AR book, download the app on your smart phone, read the factual text on the pages and view in this case volcanoes erupt or an earthquake! This is not a book for under 4th grade and I would recommend it for children up to 8th grade. This is resource for older students who are studying earth science. I encourage all who are working with students to experience this book about blizzards, floods, landscape and much more while viewing the action.
