Holden Nash
Was introducing myself to the insanely hot, giant of a man at the club with a formal handshake the best move? Probably not. So why, you may ask, did I do it again the very next week when I came face to face with him in the hospital while I was working? Ugh. Who knows? Probably didn’t help that I pretended I didn’t know who he was. Oops? It’s bad enough that I couldn’t stop thinking about him and our random one-off, but then I gave him my number—so he could text me if he had questions about his daughter’s care, that’s all. Now he’s sending me pictures of her adorable sticker covered face, and telling me how calm and relaxed I make him feel. The worst part? He makes me feel the same way. I didn’t think anyone could do that.

Julian Foster
I figured three years was enough time to get back out there. Or at least to break my streak. It’s tough being a widower and a single dad. I knew I messed up basically the second Holden shook my hand and settled those stunning green eyes on me. Was it a little unconventional? Sure. But also, adorable. That’s not even the worst of it. No man that pretty should also have back dimples, a gorgeous smile, and the uncanny ability to calm me down at even the most stressful moments. I really wasn’t planning on texting him for non Wren related things, even though I wanted to. Technically? I didn’t. You can only listen to your toddler go on and on about her ‘Holden Stickers’ for so long before you break. She’s completely enamored with him. Same, baby girl. Same.

Healed Hearts is a single dad romance with tons of swoon and sweet love, healing from the past, and embracing a new future.

While Healed Hearts can probably be read as a standalone, it will be best enjoyed after reading Stitched Hearts.

Morgan Sloan lives in the Midwest with her husband and kids, along with an obscene number of chickens. She's a Christmas junkie who can usually be found listening to Michael Bublé's Christmas album (don't judge) and surviving off sheer willpower and the tropical Red Bull (it's the best kind, and she will not be taking questions at this time). She woke up one day with an idea that wouldn't leave her head. So, now, here she is, trying her hand at bringing the people in her brain to life.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5/5
Format: ebook

“‘Are you trying not to touch me?’ I ask, watching the way his hands are flexing like he’s fighting the urge to let go. He shakes his head.
‘No, darlin’. Your boundaries are easy to respect. I’m trying not to touch me. If I do, I’m going to come in my jeans.’”

If there are two people in this world who deserve absolute love and happiness, it’s Holden and Julian. Their instant chemistry and affection is so palpable and never ceases throughout the story.

So thrilled our favorite CT got his own book. The way I fell in love with Hold within a single page in Stitched Hearts. And if you loved his friendship with Ro and Beck in that book, you’re going to love it even more in this one.

Julian is just… the perfect man. Single dad, widower, consent king, sweet and loving and anxious and a little insecure, but such a rock for his darlin’, Hold. Wren was also the most lovely addition to this story. The way those two came into Hold’s life and gave him a new and more meaningful purpose was everything. I absolutely adored watching Holden fall for both of them.

I’ll never get over the found family aspects of both this book and the previous in the series. Beck and Roman stay a permanent fixture in Hold’s life, and they welcome Julian and Wren in with open arms and hearts. Absolutely no questions asked.

Check triggers for this book. There are some dark and sad themes. Everything works out in the end and the HEA is beautiful.

I’m literally never moving on from these characters. I refuse. I hope we get even more of them.

Healed Hearts releases March 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

🩵 𝓗𝓸𝓵𝓭𝓮𝓷 & 𝓙𝓾𝓵𝓲𝓪𝓷🩵

I really have no words for how much the book has affected me. I knew from reading Stitched Hearts that Holden’s book was going to wreck me. I am wrecked in the best way possible.

Holden is such a sweet, sassy ball of sunshine. He doesn’t let his traumas define who he is. In fact he is actively working through them, trying to let go of the hurt. I was so honored to watch his growth and see his profound love for not only Julian but Wren.

Julian, my god. Everyone needs a Julian in their lives. His dedication and unwavering support of Julian had my heart in chokehold. His consent checks to something as small as a simple touch had me in tears. Something about him healed a bit of my trauma right along with Holden’s. Every darlin’ uttered Holden’s way had my heart squeezing with happiness.

There are really no words that can describe how much I love this book. It was healing. It was sadness. It was joy. It was finding where you belong. Finding the people that have your back no matter what. Holden and Julian were like coming home at the end of a long day and wrapping up in a warm blanket. Their story was a soothing balm to the soul. Everything about them was pure perfection in the best way. I will love them endlessly.

DNF @ 76%

It's unusual for me to read this far into a book and DNF but I've already read 380 pages and my kindle says I still have over 2 hours of reading to go. And truthfully, the last bit was me forcing myself to read in an attempt to finish the book. I wanted to like HEALED HEARTS so much because I really enjoyed Roman and Beck's book but this was so so long! Like over 100 pages too long.

I did enjoy Holden and Julien as characters, a lot actually, and the way Julian supported and cared for Holden was beautiful. They fall for each other really fast but still had some ups and downs as Holden worked through past sexual trauma from living on the street as a teenager. But as much as I liked them it couldn't make up for how slow and repetitive the middle part of the book felt. I do think there's a lot to love here and if you like sweet and gentle MCs, cute toddlers, and angst then enjoy this one more than me.

Content Warning: on page panic attacks; on page child illness, hospitalization and surgery (all resolved); on page flashbacks and discussion of past child sexual abuse and prostitution as a means of survival; past death of a partner from cancer

As another reviewer said, this has so many tropes I don’t normally like, but I really loved these two and their story.

There is the insta, dead wife, past abuse, sick child. 🫣. But on the plus side, there is also full communication, no third act breakup, and fully supportive found family. 💃.

👬. We first meet Holden in the prologue when he is 16 and living on the streets; we see him meet his best friend Roman when he is at his lowest. Now, Holden (26) is a rape/abuse survivor and currently working as a nurse. He lives with Roman and his boyfriend, Beck. He meets Julian (27) one night a club; they hook up, feel things and then run into each other again when Julian brings his 3 yr old daughter to the hospital. Julian is a single dad and works from home. Physically these two are portrayed as v different/opposite from each other. Holden - strong, but leaner and smaller while Julian is 6’5” and I picture him like a cuddly bear.
🌶️. The books starts off with their ONS and then spice continues from there. The spice is spicing! And I love that Julian openly seeks Holden’s consent and respects his boundaries throughout the story. Also love that we see them fully be able to enjoy each other and grow together.
🏠 the found family is everything. The love and support between Roman, Beck and Holden and separately, Julian, Wren and the grandparents are all well developed.
🗣️🥰. This is dual POV. There is an HEA, with a promise of engagement and discussion of children. They are living together.

First, why these terrible tropes work:
⭐️Insta - bc while these two feel immediate fireworks and fall in love quickly, they earn each other’s respect and devotion. Julian is there to help Holden after he comes face to face with his Motel Guy trauma and Holden is there for Julian as he struggles with panic and anxiety over his daughter’s illness.
⭐️. Death of ex - this is handled beautifully and w respect. Julian’s girlfriend died from cancer right after their daughter, Wren, was born, when he was 22. She is portrayed lovingly and Holden isn’t jealous of her or his past bc he states that it’s meaningful and proof to him that Julian can be in love w someone. They embrace her memory thoughtfully throughout the story.
⭐️ past abuse/- we don’t see these first hand but we see the aftermath and we see Holden and Julian together fully deal w his trauma in a responsible way that brings them closer together.
⭐️. Sick child - first, she survives and the author tells you this w the trigger warnings. And second, it allows the two MCs to be on somewhat equal footing with their ability to support each other. It allows us to see each of them as full complete humans inside and outside of their trauma. Holden is an amazing nurse and the love between him and Wren is 💕💕💕. “Daddy Holden”. 😭

The tension in the story comes both from their trusting their love for each other and also them supporting each other through their trauma. We, as readers, see each perspective and never doubt their commitment. They each communicate completely and truthfully with each other. The amount of respect these two show each other as they navigate all of these is lovely.

Love that Holden is such a smuggler and that Julian can literally carry him around. So many small and big moments between these two.

I knew from the moment Holden popped up in Stitched Hearts that I was going to love him and that I HAD to hear his story. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long! Healed Hearts is Holden’s and Julian’s (and Wren’s!) story, and it was even better than I could have ever imagined. Which is perfect because, let’s be honest, Hold deserves everything good. And after meeting Julian, so does he.

This book is another top favorite for me. The pain, the mental health rep, the unwavering support, the healing, the spice. Ooof, the spice. It was so good. Especially with all of the support and healing mixed in. I was so happy they didn’t just rush into it all. Julian was absolutely perfect for Holden in this way.. slowing things down, making sure he was ok every step of the way, being so mindful and supportive. We all love a sexy, thoughtful consent king!

Holden and Julian complement each other perfectly. Just by being who they are, they give each other exactly what they need.

I was also thrilled to see so much of Ro and Beck throughout Healed Hearts, and I absolutely adore the relationships between Hold, Ro, Beck, and now Julian. The way these men come together and support each other through everything, no questions asked, is so heartwarming. The way they comfort each other 🥹😩🫠 I melt for all the cuddles! And the way they all immediately accept Julian and Wren with open arms, simply because they are with Hold. Ah I love them so much. Their stories will be with me forever.

Thank you Morgan Sloan for sharing these men with the world; they are perfect. 🥹
And thank you so much for the ARC opportunity! Excited to see what’s next!

I’ll probably need to do some spell check and grammar check after my eyes start working properly. At the moment, I can only partially see what I’m typing on account of all of the shed AND unshed tears this book forced from my eyeballs.

Crying about Julian’s ex, Maya. Crying about Wren. Crying about Holden’s past. Crying about Holden taking care of Julian and Wren. Crying about Julian comforting Holden. Crying about Found Family. Crying about HOW SWEET these guys are to each other and how perfect their chemistry is.

I’m a husk of a man now. This book was simply too good for me to handle. Even if Holden, Roman, and Beck can be a lot, the way everyone rallies and protects their loved ones imbues this story with the most beautiful vibes.

If you’re fine with mostly-not-romance-centered-angst as well as stressing about the health of a sweet baby angel for most of the book, you’ll want to give this one a try.

“That’s it, darlin’. Take what you need.”
His eyes fly open. “You. I need you.”
I tighten my grip on his hip. “You have me. Always.”

This book broke and mended my heart at the same time. It made me cry, laugh, smile, and I just want Holden and Julian, along with their entire new family, to be completely happy.

I wasn't even halfway through the book, and everyone was happy and in love, while I was just waiting for the next thing that was going to break my heart. And I'm so glad there wasn't a third act breakup, because I know that if that happened, Holden's trust towards Julian would have been shattered and impossible to repair. So I'm so grateful for that.

“The darkness recedes in the comfort of his arms, in his taste, in the feel of his lips moving with mine.”

Julian is a green flag with legs. This man began to heal a part of Holden from the first time they were together, without even realizing it. He is an incredible father to Wren, and I loved how Maya's death was handled, how they didn't take away or diminish that relationship to rebuild the one he has with Holden. I love the way he treats Holden, the unconditional love and patience he has for him. This man is perfect.

“I trust you. I really do. Please, please don’t make me regret that. I’m literally begging.” The softly spoken words shoot through my body and I can’t resist pulling him back to me and holding him in my arms.
“I will do everything possible to keep that from happening, I promise. You have just as much power to hurt me too.”

“The urge to touch him and make him feel good is so strong I almost can’t resist. But I’ll be damned if I ruin this moment for him. Everyone has taken his power from him, but I won’t.

Holden, our beautiful, broken, sweet, and fierce man. I understand why everyone wanted to protect him because I want to protect him. Life has been very, very cruel to him, and yet he ended up being such a good and sweet man. I have no words to explain how it hurt me every time he was surprised when Julian asked for his consent or did something for both of their pleasures and not just for himself. It was literally nothing new; it's the least you'd expect, and yet it was the first time Holden had had that experience being with someone. I just adore Holden and want to see him happy.

“I’m here for it all. The doctor visits and the hospital stays. Your fears. Your moods—all of them. Even the bad ones. I never want you to hide yourself from me. If you’re sad or anxious or hell—pissed at the world—I want to be the person you share that with. Even when it comes out in less than desirable ways. I’ll fight with you and for you and for Wren. I want that.”

These two have been on a rollercoaster of emotions and struggles with their mental health. I liked that they not only tried to help Holden heal, but that we also saw Julian's struggles. That we saw them both support each other, love each other, and be there for each other. The love they showed each other is a beautiful thing, and another thing I love is that it was more about the little moments than a sexual relationship, which is perfect for this couple. Love was seen in the support, in not leaving the other alone while they were suffering, in the looks, the consent, in the details.

“I think that’s real love, you know? Seeing the ugly in someone else, the worst parts of their character, the things they’re ashamed of and loving them despite it. Accepting them anyway.”

I have to talk about Beck and Roman. I don't know why I didn't read their book sooner; I always skip the first books in a series, but I think I kind of regret it this time. I'll always read it, but now I know a few details about what's going on with them, but I'm still excited. These two are such good friends, and the way they care for each other and don't think twice about dropping everything to go help not only Holden but also Julian and Wren. I love them and think everyone deserves a family like the one these three men have formed.

I loved this book! Holden and Julian are going to be one of those couples that stays with me. I appreciate that mental health issues were touched upon and that there's a representation of a couple helping each other through those problems. It's worth noting that dark topics are touched upon, but in a very respectful and, in my opinion, correct way.

“Hey, Julian?” I ask, my voice soft.
“Yes?”
“Can I kiss you?”
Julian pulls back, searching my eyes in the dark. “Are you sure? I don’t want to bring up bad memories.”
“How can it?” I whisper. “My only memories are of you.”

Still way over the top dramatic. I just really couldn’t stand Holden and how EVERYONE treated him with kid gloves. Dude is 26 years old and he gets carried around like a toddler. Wren who is 3 is more mature than he was.

And I fucking HATED the pet name “Darlin”! Oh hell it’s so cringy. I literally got the ick every single time!

Ever since Holden showed up in the first book, I’ve been waiting for this moment. And Healed Hearts did not disappoint. It’s tender, it’s hilarious, it’s emotionally devastating in the best way, and it wrapped around my heart like a weighted blanket. Holden has always had this quiet, grounded presence that made you want to both flirt with him and ask him to check your blood pressure. Seeing him fall in love? Worth the wait.

Enter Julian:An awkward, gorgeous, grieving dad energy, whose idea of flirting includes a strong handshake and panicked eye contact. The man is such a simp for Holden, it’s almost embarrassing—but in a deeply satisfying way. 🥰

The way he looks at Holden? Like the sun rises and sets in that man’s green eyes. And the best part? Holden is just as wrecked for him, even if he tries to play it cool. Spoiler: he fails. Spectacularly.

But this isn’t just a cute romance, This is a story about healing after loss, about letting someone new in when your heart still bears scars. Julian’s grief is never brushed aside—it’s tender, complicated, and real. And Holden doesn’t fix him—he simply meets him where he is, again and again, with patience and warmth and the occasional sass.

What I loved most was how easy their connection felt. Like gravity. Their conversations, their chemistry, the quiet comfort they found in each other—it all felt so natural, like the universe just knew they belonged together. Watching them become not just lovers but a family—with all the messiness and beauty that comes with it—was truly special.

Healed Hearts made me laugh out loud.

I mean- “Holden Stickers,” Wren’s flawless way of winning Holden over, Julian absolutely losing his mind over Holden’s back dimples, and Holden trying to be professional and failing so hard instead.

All of these funny moment of joy and the the author would then turn around and absolutely wreck me with a single line of dialogue.

This a story about finding joy again, even when you thought it was out of reach. It’s tender, honest, deeply romantic—and above all, full of heart.

Read this if you love:
💗 Single dads who fall HARD
💗 Hot nurses with soft hearts
💗 A Toddler you cannot help but fall in love with
💗 Emotional healing that doesn’t feel rushed
💗 And a romance that feels like coming home

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go reread every Julian POV scene and cry into a throw pillow.🥹🥹

Healed Hearts is a beautiful story about two men, each carrying their own wounds and anxieties, learning to heal while building connection and falling in love. Their journey is tender and poignant, a perfect example of hurt/comfort done right.

Holden is the kind of character you cant help but love and root for. His chaotic energy is contagious and his heart shines through despite what he has been through in his life. His journey while heartbreaking at time, is also beautiful and uplifting. Julian, on the other hand, is the anxious, tender soul that brings a soft balance to Holden's chaos. As a widowed, single dad to 3 year old, Wren, Julian's life is a delicate balance of grief, and responsibility. A night that was supposed to be a "no strings attached" hook up, ends up having a lasting impression on both men.

This book and author don't shy away from difficult parts of trauma and healing. Both Holden and Julian are messy, imperfect and deeply human, but both have so much love to give each other. The hurt they experience is real, but so is the comfort they provide each other.

recommend for: Fans of hurt/comfort, found family, LGBTQ+ themes, emotional reads and those who believe that love can help mend even the most broken hearts.

Julian and Holden are a beautiful example of how relationships are supposed to work. When one is struggling, the other pulls the weight as best they can, and they move forward together. Talk it out. See it through. And stay side by side no matter what comes. Holden deserved to finally feel safe, and though Julian wasn't even looking for a partner and co-parent for his sweet little, he found the perfect match in Holden. These two will make your heart sing and break, but by the end, you'll have renewed hope in love and happy ever afters.

DNF – but I loved what I read.
I’ve never paid much attention to trigger warnings—I always thought I didn’t really have any. But this book made me realize I actually do: sickness. More specifically, that overwhelming, helpless feeling when characters are trying to figure out what’s wrong with a loved one. It hit me harder than I expected.
That said, I truly loved this book. The writing, the characters, the story—it’s all beautiful. I just couldn’t finish it. Not because it wasn’t good, but because it touched something raw in me I wasn’t ready to face.

Healed Hearts is the second installment in the Mended Hearts series. It’s the story of Holden Nash and Julian Foster, two men who, at first glance, couldn’t be more different, but who ultimately fit together like puzzle pieces. Healed Hearts is a story of real, raw love that runs deep. It’ll make you laugh, cry, and maybe cry some more, and it might just heal something inside you that you didn’t even realize was broken.

As always with Morgan Sloan, you can expect characters who resonate, who are so real that they’ll live rent-free in your head long after you’ve finished reading this story, with rich storytelling that’s interlaced with heartfelt emotion.

If you’ve read Stitched Hearts (which I highly recommend that you do—even though these are interconnected standalones, having read Stitched Hearts first is going to maximize your enjoyment of this one), you’ll already know Holden as Roman’s sassy, slightly chaotic, and fiercely loyal best friend. And if, like me, you were rooting for him to get his own book, this is that book. Next, we have Julian Foster, the sweetest gentle giant ever, and Julian’s daughter, Wren. Now, I don’t generally like having kids in romance books. I’m not a parent, and I don’t especially relate to parental roles or themes. This book changed that. Morgan Sloan has a real gift when writing kids, and she’s changed how I view single dads in MM romance. Wren feels so real, and Julian’s journey with parenthood is so beautifully written, without ever feeling contrived, that you can feel the love coming off it.
Healed Hearts is about two people who find each other, and who, together, make something truly beautiful without ever losing their individuality. This isn’t a story of “true love cures all”—it’s a story of loving someone along with their broken pieces, with their high moments, and through everything in between.

Some themes you can expect:
- Love after loss
- Grief
- Respectfully handled trauma
- Loving each other through the best and worst days
- Side characters who are so much more than just side characters
- Spice that’s loving and hot at the same time
- Anxiety rep
- Finding meaning together
- Caretaking

If you haven’t read this book, you need to.

So…hurt-comfort is just my vibe I guess... I like having my heart destroyed, only to be pieced back together.

Stitched Hearts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is the first book in the Mended Hearts series, following Roman and Beck, two young men who are torn apart by tragedy and reunited 10 years later under painful circumstances. In a dual pov, readers dive into Roman and Beck’s lives at the age of 18 and 28 and see their story unfold as they navigate heartache, grief, and forgiveness. I enjoyed the chemistry between Roman and Beck, their love tender and achingly raw. Sloan heavily emphasizes men’s mental health, portraying it with depth and compassion as both Roman and Beck navigate trauma, vulnerability, and the difficult path toward healing and self-acceptance. This story is tender, angsty, and full of healing, making it an engaging read for fans of emotional slow burns and found family!

Healed Hearts ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ is a moving continuation of the Mended Hearts series that expands the found-family circle with Holden and Julian’s story. Holden, introduced in Stitched Hearts, returns with scars of his own—homelessness, past trauma, and a desperate need for belonging—only to find solace in Julian, a grieving widower and devoted single dad. Their relationship although very instalove, is steeped in consent and emotional care, as Julian supports Holden through vulnerability and healing, and Holden supports Julian as he navigates his daughter’s unknown health condition. Interwoven with cameos from Roman and Beck, the book delivers powerful themes of mental health, grief, and unconditional love.

Overall, the Mended Hearts series by Morgan Sloan is an emotionally rich exploration of second chances, healing, and the power of love in its most vulnerable form. Sloan doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff, but she balances the heartbreak with hope, found family, and love that feels both earned and enduring. If you’re a fan of romance that’s emotionally intense, character-driven, and full of heart, I’d give this series a shot!

Holden and Julian are two young men, both with a traumatic past behind them but still hoping to find some happiness and peace in life.
Holden is a pediatric nurse devoted wholeheartedly to his work while Julian is the single dad of the adorable Wren.
One evening they meet by chance and the connection that is made between them is destined to turn their world upside down.
I literally adored these two boys, so genuinely vulnerable and scared but also so brave and strong that I couldn't help but admire the mutual trust with which they build their relationship.
And what about little Wren? Oh she is a wonderful bundle of courage and sweetness that will steal every reader's heart...
This is a story of physical and moral healing whose basic tools are precisely love, trust, and respect.
I loved these characters deeply: I suffered and rejoiced with them and could not put the book down until I came to the end of their story.
The dedication with which Holden and Julian create their little family is one of the most beautiful and moving things I have read lately, and even the side characters ( Beck and Roman, Holden's best friends are the protagonists of the previous novel ) are touching and very human.
The writing is clear and emotional and the ending left me with a heart full of joy.

💔💔💔💔💔

This book broke my heart over and over. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I love broken boys and hurt/comfort. This book had it in spades. I had to put it down several times just to get myself together. Bravo Morgan.

Both MCs have emotional trauma in their past, and sweet Holden also has physical trauma. Although I loved both MCs, Holden… I can’t even put into words how I feel about Holden.
Morgan wrote Holden so well, I felt every ounce of his pain, he embedded himself in my soul. And Julian, wow, what a patient, understanding man. Julian is going through his own trials and still finds it in himself to make sure Holden is well taken care of and that his needs are met in a slow, gentle way. That is until Holden demands more!

Healed Hearts is filled with an amazing support cast as well. I loved every character in this book, except one. Read this book, and you will know exactly who I am talking about.

Morgan Sloan has three published works so far. Keep an eye on her, friends! She just gets better and better with every book! She is definitely one to watch and is on the top of my auto-buy list.

I just knew Morgan wouldn’t disappoint with Holden’s book🙌🏼Healed Hearts was everything I hoped for and more, so heartwarming and, well…healing!💛Holden, our chaotic twink, has been through SO much (seriously, check the TWs), and watching him slowly open up, learn to trust, and find safety again? Absolutely everything😭His healing journey wasn’t linear, and I really appreciated how Morgan portrayed that with such care and realism.

And JULIAN. The ultimate Consent King👑😮‍💨Gentle, patient, emotionally intelligent - this man is everything. He knows how to communicate and creates such a safe, nurturing space for Holden to just be. Julian has his own insecurities too, especially around his body, but the way Holden shut that down with his unwavering love and reassurance? Tears. Actual tears.🥹

This was also the first time I’ve read about a character struggling with hospital/illness-related anxiety, and I thought it was handled with so much sensitivity. It made Holden’s job as a nurse all the more layered and meaningful. And WREN! Julian’s little girl is adorable. Watching them slowly become a family of three had me full-on melting, my heart grew three sizes😭

Of course, the found family vibes were once again immaculate👌🏼Seeing Beck and Roman again was such a treat, and BECK’S PROTECTIVENESS in this book?! Hot. Damn.😮‍💨🫦😂That man does not play when it comes to his people, and I love him even more for it.

Truly an excellent series. Can’t wait for whatever comes next!🙌🏼

Healed Hearts ARC Review:

Holden and Julian 💙

When the two meet at a club and hook up, neither expect to see the other again. That quickly changes when Julian’s young daughter needs to be seen by a pediatrician and the two have their reunion with Holden being Wren’s nurse. Now that they have another reason to talk to each other, the emotional floodgates open and here we are with their story!

After meeting Holden in Stitched Hearts, I could not wait for Holden’s book! Pairing him with the sweet man that Julian is was just perfect in all the imperfect ways. I swooned throughout the book with both men showing up time and time again for the other and their merging group of loved ones. Healed Hearts is a story filled with love, laughter, trauma, and facing the tough moments together that made me misty eyed in nearly every situation.

This was a great book to follow Stitched Hearts, and I loved it just as much!

5/5 🌟

a must read!!!

Well Morgan has done it again. There is no way I could choose between Beck and Roman or Holden and Julian. They are all equals in my heart and I love them so much. This book was amazing. Morgan told Holden’s story so well. She infused his trauma without putting too much focus on it to show his growth more than his history. Julian’s grieving and finding himself and love again was so beautiful. I loved how he immediately was so calm and attentive to Holden’s needs without knowing any of his history (hello consent king). Wren was the best. Her story was hard as a parent but again Morgan touched on it well. Of course I loved seeing Beck and Roman again and the way Julian and Wren were welcomed into the fold. This book was one that will always stay with me. It was truly amazing. I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this book, and loved how much time we got to see them adjust to their relationship.

At 40% of the book I was wondering where on earth the story was going to go as it already seemed pretty resolved and could have had a HEA there, but instead we got to see them take a realistic amount of time to healthily deal with past trauma and what that means for them. It was almost like seeing beyond the HEA and look at them falling deeper and deeper in love as they get over what they’ve been through.

I’ve ended their story fully believing they will be together forever, which is something I don’t get with every book, but funnily enough I felt the same way about Roman and Beck in the previous one.

This author doesn’t just give you an on page happy ending, they give the belief that it’s real too

It takes mending and love to heal hearts and minds

Love is a challenging emotion that is superior to almost everything else. But it effects everyone differently at different times and places. Probably the best place is when found family works out all of the variations and reactions as love blends with wants and needs to become tangible in cuddles and hugs while remaining real in relationships and activities that connect people at deep levels and unusual ways. Found family love is so interesting as each person brings you their own version to the family. Care and support for each other locks everyone together, yet allows room for growth in the amount of love and the type of love.

I knew when I was reading stitched hearts I needed to find out more about Holden. I HAD to know his story. And let me just tell you I am not disappointed at all with what this story did for me. Julian? That man would walk over hit coals for Holden. The healing that they both go through with each other was amazing. And wren? That little girl, oh my god the tears I shed for her. I LOVE a good book that involves children because it brings the family aspect I crave. And seeing Roman and Beck come back in this one and watching their growth as well? 100% worth it. Healed hearts quite literally healed something in me. 💕🫶🏻

I’ve been impatiently waiting for Holden’s story since Stitched Hearts. While I enjoyed Stitched Hearts, I loved this follow up!

Holden and Julian’s relationship is just so sweet. I love the gentle giant that is Julian and firecracker Holden. This book was an emotional rollercoaster at times, dealing with grief and child illness (def check triggers).

Morgan Sloan is just a great story teller. Thank you for an arc copy of this book! I couldn’t get enough!

Also if you embarrass yourself after applying for the arc by accidentally sending the author (NOT your mom like you thought) a really stupid video on Instagram maybe you’ll get an arc 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk it worked for me 🤣😂

This was not the book I thought I was reading.
I saw it on TikTok as: man falls in love with his daughter’s nurse. And I said: oh, cute!
What I got was grief, trauma, healing, and a truckload of emotional damage.
Please check the content warnings—this book touches on child illness, grief, prostitution, and SA of a minor. It’s heavy.

Putting that aside, the romance was sweet, patient, healing.
It was also very hot 🌶️🌶️

Tag-style summary:
🔸 Gorgeous, eyeliner wearer twink
🔸 Comes untouched 😳
🔸 Size difference
🔸 So small he gets carried around the house
🔸 Adorable child scenes

Surprisingly tender, sometimes heartbreaking, and also hot. Just not the easy ride I was expecting.

Holden grew up homeless and doing awful things to survive. His friend rescues him but it still affects his life. He meets Julian, a widower with a child and is able to have a comfortable hook up for the first time. When the child, Wren becomes a patient, they become close and they are meant to be a family. Julian is so tender and patient, Holden so needy. Both adore Wren and you will cry and smile and love them all. It's a lovely, sweet book that will melt your heart. I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary opinion.

AND THE FOUND FAMILY??? INCREDIBLE!! like this is truly the definition of found family, the support system holden gave julian and even the other way around was beautiful to witness. ugh just so good!
