An evil army threatens to destroy all of Minecraft in the third Gameknight999 adventure!

The ghast king Malacoda and the terrible enderman Erebus have led their monster army to the server that houses the Source, with plans to destroy Minecraft and all the digital lives on its servers before escaping once and for all into the real world. Only Gameknight999, the User-that-is-not-a-user, and his small army of NPCs can stop them. But the monster horde is growing bigger by the day, as if they are being helped by an unknown someone . . . or something.

A secret lurks in the shadows as Gameknight and his friends race across the server, a secret with evil glowing white eyes. To defeat the monsters of the night, Gameknight will first need to find out how monsters are being created so quickly. His quest will eventually take his army into a different dimension altogether, where an island floats ominously in the Void and a deadly creature flaps its gigantic wings . . .

I did not like this book because I do not like the Ender Dragon or the end. I enjoyed this book because I liked the part when Gameknight999 crafter notch (which was pretending to be Mason) and their army defeated the Ender Dragon. I also enjoyed this book because I liked the part when everybody stopped all the mobs from going into the physical world. I also enjoyed this book because I liked the part when they went to the source.

I think it's funny how the cover illustrator added a Herobrine hiding in the background. I also like how Mark Cheverton (the Author) made up the source, brins, and brines. It seems very realistic (well, the whole book does!). I think the Author made the final battle at the source very surprising. I never thought that Gameknight999 would destroy Erebus in the land of the dreams. I think it was pretty obvious that Erebus was going to get revenge on Malacoda.

Read this one aloud to my patient. Two stars because the story held his interest, but it was painful for me to get through. Did this book have an editor? Redundant, redundant, redundant, which actually worked in my favor since I was using this for language therapy, and there were so many typos. Did this book have an editor? Do they know how to use spellcheck?

I don't think an editor even proofread this one. Lots and lots of typos, and places with fragments or run ons b/c a change was made, but the sentence wasn't fixed to accommodate the change. I finished it b/c Little Man, age 6, wanted to know how it ended.

It got 2 stars b/c the ending was pretty good.

*cringe* Oh gods, these books are bad... They're all nothing but glorified fanfiction, and not even well done fanfiction at that. In fact, this particular installment in this series has atrocious editing. There were so many typographical errors in it that I tripped over myself many times while reading this mess aloud to my young son. I can imagine that being very confusing to a young mind trying to read this.

Yes, reading these to him is the only reason I've subjected myself to this. He's 7. I suppose from his inexperienced perspective this was probably great, but from my much larger literary experience, it isn't.

The characters are cliche, the plot is cliche, the villains are cliche. If I were the creator of Minecraft I'd have actually been insulted by the ending. Then again, I don't know how a copyrighted property like Minecraft has allowed this sort of thing to sell at all...

I'm probably being too generous to give this 2 stars, but I suppose it didn't render me completely braindead, so it can have an extra star for that mercy.

Confronting the Dragon by Mark Cheverton was an amazing book, and if you play Minecraft, I would recommend this book to you. The book was about GameNight999´s adventure to beat the ender dragon. The book has all the action and adventure you could ever want in a book. I really liked the book, because I play minecraft, so I understand the book. I don´t think you would understand the book if you didn´t play minecraft. So if you play Minecraft you should read this book.

I think a big battle is important in a fantasy story. Whether it's the event that starts a chain reaction, or the event at the end of the series of other events. This book doesn't make me think much about anything, but I just find it to be a generally good book.

Al igual que los otros dos libros posteriores, es muy buen libro si eres gamer, te gusta Minecraft y no te gusta leer (confía en mí, yo odiaba leer y con esta saga me empezó a gustar la lectura)

This is the last book in the Gameknight999 series Minecraft book. Its an "OK" book. The series after read the two book before it kind of got boring. Its a little redundant and has the same plot basically in every book. The cover is nice, and kind of leads to the authors next series, in which you can see "Herobrine" hidden in the background.
An evil army of mobs want to get to the "source", or the main server of Minecraft. They want to get into the real world and invade and kill everybody. After the Ghast Malacoda and the Enderman Erebus are defeated, they try to lead their huge armies to the main server. Gameknight999 or the User-that-is-not-a-user (means that he is trapped in the game and feels pain and all that stuff.) must stop the army so nobody in the real world gets hurt. The armies grow bigger every night.. and are growing because of something...
As Gameknight tries to figure out what this entity is, he leads his army of villagers to victory. He finds fore clues about the entity, and finds himself at a portal. He leads his army in and meets with a giant winged creature.
This book could have been better, but I think that it kind of sums up the first part of this series. I feel like when I was reading this book, it just filled many gaps that should have been explained was earlier in the series. The book is kind of cliché and is very predictable, and you basically know what is going to happen. I believe that there was unnecessary detail that really bores the reader of this book. It repeats the past books so much, it become annoying sometimes, and like I said before it is very repetitive. Over all I think this book was trying to send out a good message, but the author could have tried a little bit more.
I think this book is for 5th grade to 8th grade, because they might be interested in stories like this, but overall they probably would not pick up this book.

I enjoyed the 3rd installment of this series even more than the 2nd, which I didn't think possible. I read this series so I would know what my 7 (now 8) yr old was reading. Yes, you can nitpick over some typographical and grammatical errors missed during the editing process - but that should not detract from a well though out plot and concept all in the Minecraft setting. I enjoyed watching Gameknight evolve and how fear and bullies were dealt with. There were many wonderful passages about fear and bullies that are great for using as conversation starters with kids about those very topics. I especially took to heart the passages in fear - even as an adult, I deal with fear and my ability to be a leader, so I gained new insights. I am so glad my son made me read these books. Lastly, the action and adventure kept my attention and kept me routing for the under dogs. At the end, I couldn't put the book down.

Confronting The Dragon

This book is great and it was very suspenseful and kept me reading. This book is about a gamer who got trapped in a the video game Minecraft and eventually made his way out by fighting a lot of monsters and defeating a very strong dragon. My favourite part is the gamer who got trapped because he never gives up trying to escape the video game Minecraft. My favourite part was when the gamer and his small group of fighters was fighting a big group of strong golems. Even though the golems were a lot stronger than him, he persevered through and eventually defeated them. I would recommend this book because it is very suspenseful and exciting. I read this book until the end and I loved it!

My son LOVED this series; we read it at night together. For his enjoyment, 4 stars.

This one seemed to have even more repetitive imagery and mental tangents than the last ones. More typos, too. I found myself rewording things or skipping the tangents, just because it seemed to weigh down the narrative. But overall a good book, good message, and a treat for my son.

Gameknight has finally made it to the server that hosts the source. In it he mets the light crafters and the shadow crafters. Who is the leader of the shadow crafters with glowing white eyes and can Gameknight defend the Hostile Mobs from the source? This book id good for Mine Crafters.
