The good: they turned the wannabe Bond aspect down.
The bad: the book is still idiotic, I absolutely hate the inconsistency
Character constantly mix up Greenland and Iceland. Joe Jeffries jumps between working for MI5 to 6 and back. It’s likely supposed to be Britain‘s external intelligence service, as secret intelligence services and circus is thrown around. The latter to ensure Le Carre turns in his grave.
Conclusion: the 3rd novel in this series will not get a chance from me.
