Focus on the Process will show

Why most people quit right before their breakthrough and how to push through the plateau phase when nothing seems to workThe difference between process goals and result goals, and why top performers lead with processHow to identify the right process and why it makes everything else easierWhy starting small is not a weakness, but a sound strategy. Why self-compassion often matters more than discipline or motivation.Focus on the Process gives you a framework for showing up until the results you want become the results you have.

The process is the goal.

This is a short book, with two simple ideas.

Consistency is important.

“Process is the goal.”

Yes. I know. A sixty page book has confirmed that -

Consistency is important.

"Process is the goal."

The author is correct. But wow - a bit more content would be ... ummmm ... useful???

"The daily or weekly activities that, when done consistently, will significantly increase the odds of us reaching our goals..."

Book name: Focus on the process.
Author: Thibaut Meurisse.

This book talks about how we often get too attached to results and forget the importance of what we do every day. The book explains why focusing only on outcomes can create stress, impatience, and even self-doubt.

It shows how shifting our attention to daily actions, habits, and systems can make a big difference. Instead of constantly worrying about success or failure, the idea is to build consistency and trust the process. When you focus on what you can control, progress becomes more natural and less overwhelming.

The book moves through different aspects like mindset, discipline, and long-term thinking, and explains how small, repeated efforts shape bigger achievements.

Overall, this was a simple and refreshing read. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels stuck, impatient, or too focused on results instead of the process.

Thibaut Meurisse’s Focus on the Process serves as a potent antidote to the contemporary, hyper-fixated obsession with instantaneous outcomes, offering instead a methodical blueprint for deliberate self-actualization.

Meurisse skillfully deconstructs the teleological fallacy—the erroneous belief that happiness and success reside solely at the destination—by meticulously championing the profound efficacy of incremental, daily habits.

Through a cogent and pragmatic lexicon, the text strips away the superficial allure of grand milestones, compelling the reader to find equanimity and purpose within the rigorous, often monotonous choreography of execution.

It is an indispensable, intellectually grounding treatise for any aspirational individual seeking to transmute erratic motivation into an unyielding, systematized discipline

I am a big fan of Thibaut's books. I've already read many of them. Mastery and Productivity series, habits, introversion...I find them insighful, full of wisdom nuggets and create so many aha moments. But I didn t get this feeling with this one. I still learnt valuable things thanks to this book such as the excitement cycle. But at the end of the book I was like, so that's it ? Let' s say that in my opinion this book lacks substance compared to others Thibaut's masterpieces.

Items of Note:
* The only way to achieve any goal is to focus on the process. The process is the goal and the outcome we seek is merely its logical consequence.
* We don't realize that the process is the only thing we ever have control over.
* By shifting your focus from outcomes to the daily actions that drive success, you'll finally build momentum and achieve what once felt impossible.
* The process is the real goal, and the results you want are simply the natural outcome.

A simple and short book which can be read in one go.

It mainly focuses on how to attain the target.

Break down the target into manageable small targets.

Started doing things consistently.

Make a habit for 30 days slowly push it to 90 days, then to 6 months, and so on.

Focus on the Process

It makes sense that one has to do things consistently, small steps at a time and evolve as necessary. The author thinks it is a secret but it is a universal truth!
This is an easy to read book but success means to be persistent. I recommend it!!
