I was confused about how to rate this. The storyline was interesting but a little unbelievable. Reaching into the past of ultra wealthy families and bring into the present aligned with gangsters. Oh well, it played out with a hop skip and a jump. Jumping into many worlds.
Now to the editing ….. I’m finding more and more that authors take a lot of liberties with grammar,(or the lack of it).sentence structure, punctuation and.incorrect names or pronouns that make you form the idea for yourself.
This is not the only book I’ve read with theses issues, it was just the one that got me to write this review. Sorry,
This is a fantastic book two! I've been really enjoying this series, and this installment didn't disappoint. The author does a great job of carrying the characters over from the first book, and it was great to see more of Meg Thorne—she's a very likable character. The pacing is perfect; the books aren't too long, but they keep you guessing until the very end. I especially appreciate how this book wraps up its main storyline while still keeping a key plot point open for the next one with Meg's family's unsolved crime. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Meg has left the police force and is working on cold cases, one of which is her husband’s. Her investigations lead her to what will be a surprising conclusion.
Ms. Bold does a good job of creating realistic characters, emotions, and situations. I enjoy her books.
This was a good thriller. It had a lot of twists and turns and plenty of action. It took you on a ride and gave you a satisfying ending. Looking forward to the next one.
3.75 stars Another good read. Unfortunately, the trail to the suspect was obvious from the beginning. I wish the author had added a twist or made it less obvious. We still got action. Meg still has the moves, despite her age.
I love Kate Bold books. They keep you transfixed and desperate to finish to find out the ending. Not a book to read, I found out, before going to sleep as you will just keep reading. Can't wait for the next instalment.
This book was definitely better than the first one. Meg Thorne needs help though cause she was doing a lot and Alex didn’t tell the whole truth, crazy! I did enjoy this one, I can’t wait to read the other ones that have been released.
Hey, I'm Elaine, an editor at Novelsnack. This story is truly thrilling and gripping. We’d love to introduce your books to our readers with competitive royalties and solid performance bonuses. Would you be open to a quick chat? 😊
Good in a normal sort of thriller way. About a retired detective or cop who solves why some women have been killed in their home bc she’s worried her mum will be next.
Wasn't over impressed with this one. The first one I read was so much more. To easy to figure out, I just had the wrong reasoning behind it. Will try one more of her books.😗😅😗
