Everyone is dead. She is the last. But she has a bomb and one last chance to complete her mission to kill Phobos.
Phobos, Lord Commander of the Akaran invasion, captures Freya last of her resistance group. Instead of ordering her death, he seeks to punish her further. He remakes her in his own image giving her a new name, Khalida, then forces her to take The Bond to become his obedient slave. Freya can do nothing but watch as Khalida takes on humanity.
Not all goes Phobos's way; Great High Priest K'dess takes exception to his choice of bond partner. He and the sinister priesthood seek to destroy Khalida and replace her with one of their own. Will Phobos succeed in completing the invasion of Earth and the destruction of humanity? Can Freya ever resurface and resume her fight or will Great High Priest K'dess destroy her along with Khalida?
Okay, this book? Total sci-fi madness in the best way. Freya’s literally the last human left after an alien invasion, and she’s got one mission: take out Phobos, the guy who destroyed everything.
But instead of killing her, he captures her, renames her Khalida, and forces her into something called The Bond. Basically, he turns her into his obedient puppet. Yeah… nightmare fuel.
But wait, it gets worse. The creepy high priest K’dess isn’t vibing with Phobos’s new “bonded” human and decides he wants her gone. Now Freya/Khalida is caught in this alien power struggle and slowly losing grip on who she really is.
The Freya vs. Khalida inner battle? Super intense. Some moments you’re like “Yes girl, fight back!” and others you’re like “Oh no… she’s slipping.” You never know who’s really in control, and that tension keeps you flipping pages like crazy.
Also, this world is dark. Twisted alien politics, weird tech, power games, and so much emotional chaos. You’ll love it if you’re into stories that mess with your head and your heart.
