Sam and Kirsten had great chemistry and I appreciated how they waited, while texting and getting to know each other, before they truly started dating. Their timing really wasn’t great: she was a minor and then he was just getting ready for a tour with his band. Seeing her sister was nice, as well as her brother-in-law.
The fact that she was younger, but actually had more success was an interesting twist. Even with the support of her family and his band mates, it wasn’t an easy relationship. She still had to finish high school, then college, and he was busy starting his career (recording and then touring).
I really liked this book and was happy that neither had to give up their dreams to be together. I didn’t see the resolution coming, which made the ending they much sweeter. I can’t wait to see what happens with his friends/bandmates. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.
