Marine Corps Captain Jacob Brown and his battlesynth partner, Tin Man, were on their own…
The pair have been in the wind aboard their ship, Boneshaker, since they uncovered a great conspiracy. The Cridal Premier, Seeladas Dalton, had been replaced by a cybernetic imposter and now Jacob has discovered that the deception goes much deeper.
Leaders on Earth and even within the Eshquarian Empire are acting… odd. Even the commander of Scout Fleet, Admiral Marcus Webb, is not quite himself lately. Jacob and Tin Man now have no safe harbor, no support, and no idea what to do.
The whole book is a continuation from the last book and gets the whole storyline further along The team split up and have separate but related missions that help Humanity and The Arc remains one step ahead of the bad guys, who we at last have a name for The bad guys existence is explained and if true brings in another thread and potentially another enemy Would not be surprised is one set of bad guys are defeated, just as the new ones come along Overall nicely done, enough action to keep you turning the pages and enough intrigue to keep the brain thinking
The changes come faster as Jacob and Tim Man go out on extended missions without the rest of the team. After the ambush at what was considered a safe base, Sully has decided to take on a track leading to his becoming an officer. Murphy became a paraplegic due to his injuries from the ambush. However, he winds up connecting with an unexpected source which may have long term consequences for his health.
The devious nature of the powers behind the replacement of important people in high places is slowly becoming evident. The team finds a name for them but few details. But at least they can begin the search…
Omega Force and Terran Scout Fleet are two of the best series I’ve read, and I read a lot. Each book seems like a major blockbuster 80s action movie married to one or another more dramatic genre, put to page with much more care than I see in most of my other series. This one is no exception, with a good mix of action and Spy Stuff throughout to keep it interesting on every page.
This series is truly captivating, engaging, and hard to put down once she start reading. Even with book 7 completed, I’m not ready to end the adventure. Would like to see more as the story develops. What is the Synod truly afraid of, is the threat real? If the threat is real, how does the mishmash of various power scattered throughout the known universe and systems fight this threat.
Enjoyed Jacob and Tin Man teaming up alone to defeat a group intent on taking over not just Earth but much of the universe. Also appreciated the team trying to get Murph back in the group after his last assignment. Looking forward to the next book
This book about the Terran Scout Fleet is simply ‘Genius’ in the way it is written! I am at a point now where I believe any Scout Fleet book makes for excellent reading and I highly recommend it to all reading ages and both genders! They are books to be read and enjoyed!
A gamble on a new author years ago has become countdowns to getting to read. While I know good things don’t last forever, as much as I love Jason and Lucky, I feel the same way with Jake and Tinman. Still patiently waiting for a full fledged lot 700 avengers fight lol.
I've enjoyed all of the books in the series along with the Omega Force books. Dalzelle keeps me entertained throughout. The only real knock on this one was it seemed to finish quickly and maybe a little easily, but that could just be because of how it is setting up the next book in the series. Overall, I highly recommend all of these books.
As usual Joshua hits it out of the park with the latest Terran Scout Fleet installment. Can't wait for the next one. What happens with Murph? Can the boys keep Vox safe?
As the rest of the Scout team return home, Jacob Brown and Tinman have gone looking for answers. With copies replacing high ranking people, what is the end game and can it be stopped. Good book, already looking forward to the concluding book in the series.
This series just keeps getting better and better. The careful integration of the overall story with OF is masterful. As always the dialogue and interactions between characters sparkles and delights. Wish I could give it 7 stars.
This series keeps getting better and better. I just love it. The storyline is wonderful, and the characters are so craze good. This and OF are best syfi books I have every read. Can't wait for the next two books!!!!!!
Awesome read! Loved how the scout team became divided and still got things accomplished! And how Jason Burke came and helped Jacob and Tin Man! And it appears that Murphy is going to be back on track and healthier then ever! Faint wait for the next read!
This series has grown into one of the best series of science fiction that I have read the characters have developed and are very relatable this and it's parent series are fantastic.I can't wait for the next book
This book is a really good piece of writing. The editor needs to be yeeted out an airlock, but the story telling is crisp and it feels fast-paced. Time gaps are used really well to give it a suspenseful feel that a doppelganger is going to ruin the best-laid plans.
One of the best in this series so far, non stop action one way or another. There is no doubt that there are a few more books to come and I look forward to reading what happens next, plus I want to find out what happens to Murph
The characters are easy to love, or hate. I found myself rooting hard for our augmented hero(s) and can’t wait to see them conquer another series of insurmountable challenges.
This series just keeps getting better. Great characters, great story line. I just wish Josh would write faster. He just announced the story line(s) for 20 more books.
Always have enjoyed both the father and son series. Good plots, good action, and good writing that keeps you entertained. Ready for the next in series for both father and son.
This was a good fast paced book in the series. The characters are the seemingly more lucky than smart people as in the previous books. More growth occurs as more happens to them. Looking forward to the next book.
The author tells a good story but lacks an editor. There are several misused and misplaced words in the book. A more careful reading is needed before publishing.
