Intriguing. I was captivated through out the this short novel. I know one thing that is guaranteed .. I WILL CERTAINLY read the full length novel! From the very beginning I was hooked .. I was so confused on what was happening. Once, I read more .. the characters GREW on me! Pepper Winters did notdisappoint!

I'm definitely in the minority with this rating but this story had too much long-winded dialogue (some I skimmed) and only a little bit of action. I didn't connect with the characters and the male lead was confusing. He stated that he only wanted a fling and didn't do relationships, and in the same breath said that he wanted more than one night with the female lead. The POV was singular and the reader didn't get his take on the situation. The beginning of this story was interesting, but it steadily went downhill for me after that.

a little digression - inspite of the fact that this will sound stupid as f*ck it's not much worse then how I actually feel right now - Ok, I was confused and all frustrated by the story I've read before this one and I kind of figured out a bit too late THAT this is the same story from the Owned Anthology and that I've already read it... I thought, when I saw the standaone cover that it was a full book...and not some prologue...well, f*ck it, suits me right, when I go in as blind as a bat...
anyway, full review is yet to come...
Now I have to go smash my head to the wall...LOL damn, I knew that reading to many books at once will mess up with my concentration and attention...well, there's no one to blame but me...[*deep sighs*]
so, I'm back, it's 11:35, March 29th, and this is a review of a re-read...
this was short...and I'm definitely hungry for more, cause the full length book is supposed to come out this year ?!
anyway, Pepper Winters is one of my fave authors and I love everything I've read so far written by her, so I was set for a pre-ride of happiness already...
so, you may say I'm partial and bias and I don't care...this is purely for me!
this is the story that was fast paced but not rushed, it's about the chance encounter and not bitting around the bush LOL,

He crossed his arms, smiling coyly. "Not bold. Just honest. Will you be honest with me?"

about hardly resisting the attraction and one hot and sexy alpha male
Holding me immobile, his body pressed against mine. His knee wedged between my legs as his hand tilted my neck back, arching my spine. I trembled in his hold—completely in his control.
"Say yes," he whispered.
"Say yes to the best fucking release of your life.

Rubbing the tingling sparkles from where he’d touched, I asked, "Confident I won’t run?"
He smirked. "Confident I can catch you."

The phone rang, shattering our post-sex glow, reminding us that life was still there and we weren’t untouchable in our perfect dream-world
Somehow, this singular man had made me forget. Made me forget my grief, my goals, my dreams—all in one night of passion.
and then it abruptly ends...it f*cking ends leaving me trembling and...ah, hell
all my mind can come up with are these lyrics...and boy don't I feel each and every word...

Clouds got in the way

April 25, 2015So I read the first four chapters in Owned: An Alpha Anthology ...It was okay, I don't feel the chemistry between the two -_- I might be judging the book too early since I don't have yet the whole story. It's just, I don't like the one-night stand kind of thing sometimes, especially when I don't feel any connection between the characters...I hope the character development will evolve when the book is release!:)

I don't understand how Pepper does it, but damn does that women do it!! So this is just the first part of the story that I got to read, and cannot wait to read the rest of it when it releases in 2015. Cas is seriously all sexy, mysterious, alpha male hotness!

His hands were fisted by his sides, while every muscle stood out in preparation for a fight. Not to mention the shaggy dirty blond hair or the minor bruising on his cheekbone, turning him from roughly delectable to dangerously unpredictable".

I read Forbidden flaws by Pepper Winters in the Tales of Darkness and Sin book... aaand lefs just say I’ve read it back in March and in /still/ thinking about it. Yes, I BADLY want a full book. I would 1000000% read a book of them reconnecting and possible insights on what went down that night through flashbacks, why she made the choice, what’s had happened and even insights about their past traumas and such. PLEASE, I am so hopeful.. if I ever get a book I’ll definitely be giving it five stars but for starters.. I’ll give four because it left me depressed and wanting more.

Because its only the teaser part was published and there is still nothing about the original publishing date. According to me web sites should remove these type of unfinished books after a period like 2 years.
