Not long ago Eila Walker’s choices were limited: death by a bullet to the head, or at the hands of her beloved bodyguard, Raef. Now, five weeks after Raef triggered her power and she nearly leveled a historic mansion, Eila is dealing with the fall-out of her decisions. The adventure continues!
After reading Undertow, I was really interested in continuing the series and seeing where the story would go. This sequel was as good (or even better) than the first! There was no 'second-book-syndrome' with this novel because it had everything that I wanted--and more.
From the beginning, this was a fast-paced and adventurous read. I really had a hard time putting it down because there seemed to be so much action going on and I just had to keep reading to find out.
Also, I felt like we got more of a detailed explanation regarding the history of the Mortis and Lunaterra and that was an aspect of the story that I really enjoyed. K.R. Conway did an amazing job creating this fantastical system and world building while these characters were also still living in this mortal world.
Like I said for the original novel, I continue to love this motley crew. However, in this sequel there's an additional member in the group to love...or like (there were moments where I questioned his intentions...). Plus the romance in this novel. Yes, yes, I will go down with that ship.
This was the perfect sequel that had me entertained from start to finish. It was the perfect combination of fantasy, adventure, action, and romance. I can't wait to continue reading the rest of the series, especially with the epic ending of this installment that left me in shock wanting more.

Stormfront is book #2 in the Undertow series I was lucky enough to have been given an ARC by the publisher in exchange for an honest review so here goes...
The good bits...
• Eila really comes into her own in this book.
• Rillian is a definite asset an older sex symbol ohhh yeah!!
• This book really ramps up the tension.
And the not so good bits...
• This book is not due to release till September and I need the next one like NOW!!!
Now I really enjoyed book #1 Undertow (click to read my full review) but this one is actually better.
We jump right back into the action and I loved every moment.
Eila & Raef finally found some chemistry; I really felt the connection in this book and engaged with them as a couple.
Rillian was a brilliant character to introduce and I love how he is going to become the trainer and help Eila!!!
This is vague I know but why don’t Kian & Raef have the scars???????
This book throws a lot of background information at you which at times was confusing but also helps to lay the groundwork for a more complex story.
Elizabeth definitely had a lot more going on than anyone suspected and I love the intrigue that surrounds her.
Quote of the book Ana – “Holy Flippin’ Hogwarts” this actually made me spit out my drink bloody hilarious.
Once I had read book #1 Undertow I really enjoyed the group dynamic and this book really built on that. MJ, Ana, Kian, Raef & Eila all have a very strong connection between them and I loved the camaraderie and bond that was very evident.
This book really pushed the tension and drama and the author brilliantly managed to link together seemingly insignificant things to one another so at the end you have an ahhhhh moment when you finally see what’s going on.
I can’t wait for Eila to really embrace her inner glow stick and revel in her powers we see glimpses in this book and I get the impression that this is only the start.
It’s great that all of the members of the group really embrace there supernatural side in this instalment. They are all powerful in their own rights, as a reader robin hood and his merry men are good but the fantastic four are sooooo much better!!!
Again the author leaves so many questions unanswered at the end of Stormfront and I am literally gagging to read the next book now, I need to know what happens!!!
She’s in the Vault!!!!!! WTF
I loved, loved this book it pulled me straight back into the world of Mortis & Lunaterra, I was absorbed and captivated, 4.5 stars from me!!!

Okay, I had to let this sit for a few days before I even attempted to write a review on Storm Front (Undertow Book 2) To say that this book blew me away would be the understatement of the year. It’s unusual to like the second book in a series MORE than the first book in a series, but this one is unbelievably good!
I consider myself so fortunate that I got to read this book early, I honestly can’t wait to read it again, and I NEVER want to read a book twice.
The characters in this book will absolutely grab hold of you and shake your very being. You will be transported to their world, and what a world it is... you’ll laugh with them, want to scream at them, but most of all, you will absolutely love them!
The addition of Rillin in this book is SUCH a great addition, I love him! He adds so much depth and intrigue to the story, it definitely would not be the same without him. Christian is even likable now, as we see that he truly wants what is best for Eila. He also does a stellar job of keeping Mae occupied throughout this book as well as looking out for everyone.
The writing is of course wonderful, but the absolute shining star of this book is the characters! They are SO believable. I’m seriously looking at people I see on the street and wondering if they are Mortis. The plot is fantastic even though I could have spit as I read the last line of the book! Are you serious???!!!
It is well thought out, well executed and simply phenomenal. I can’t say enough positive things about it. This screams make me into a movie like no other book I’ve read.

Initial Thoughts: Um wow. I didn't think anything could surpass the first book because it was so well done but boy was I wrong! It was even better. Not to mention a cliffhanger for an ending? *evil smile* My favorite.
The Characters & Story: The stakes definitely seemed higher in this book. Eila knows she needs to learn/come into her abilities before it's too late. Raef is still hurting from having to kill Eila from the ending in the first book and not knowing what to do with himself because he loves her and always wants to protect no matter the cost. All the characters really step up and become better and stronger people because they know that they aren't going to have a normal life or relationships with at least their current situation. Especially Eila because she refuses to rely on others to defend her. She wants/was able to pull her own weight and help all her other friends in all the mystery and struggles they go through!
The book alternates POV between Eila and Raef and this really added a lot more information and more emotion and connection between the characters. You get to see the struggles everyone is having because there is so much love for everyone that everyone wants to protect each other. But it's hard to protect the ones you love when you also have to let them make their own decisions even when they go against your better judgement.
The other main characters - MJ, Ana, Kian - were still as funny and strong as in the first book. They all add a lot of depth and characterization to the story that it would be completely different without them. They all have parts and they all work and fit together to help create this great story. Not to mention the new character, Rillian, added great plot twists and information to the story and I absolutely loved him.
The Romance: Eila and Raef's connection and love became even bigger and better in this book. They already had a wonderful relationship from the first book and it only grew and developed in this one. They matured in their love and stepped up their relationship love and I truly loved every second of these two together.
End Thoughts: This book was just absolutely amazing. There was so much action and suspense and romance. Some questions were answered but even more would pop up. I was so into the book that when the ending came around, I just couldn't believe it was actually over. I wish I had the next book already because it just keeps getting better and better with each page starting with the first book. 5 stars!

She survived…what should have killed Eila Walker, only brought her out on the other side stronger and more determined to fight the invisible evil that lurks in the shadows. But her protector and love Raef O’Reilly is convinced that her brush with death was all his fault, and he is now keeping an arm’s length from Eila and the blossoming relationship they were discovering. But that is not the only thing that is weighing down on Eila – the FBI’s investigation into the “bomb” that went off at The Breakers (aka Eila and her Lunaterra “light show” going off in order to kill the Mortis that were trying to turn her) and the mysterious diary that was her great-great-great-grandmother’s is locked up tight – her only hope of discovering how to use and control her powers – and the key is in the hands of the family of her mortal enemy…the gorgeous cheerleader Nikki Shea.

Let me start off by saying…HOLY.CLIFFHANGER!!! I mean, wow – Ms. Conway has definitely learned the how to leave the reader waiting with baited breath for the next book! I was fortunate enough to be able to read and review both books in the series now, and it has only gotten better and better! Eila is seriously figuring out who she is and who she wants to be. She’s always in good company with her eccentric group of soul-thieves, a shape-shifter, and a reloader – they are always there for her anytime she needs either a shoulder to cry on or a butt to kick (as she learns to develop her physical fighting skills). I am thoroughly looking forward to reading the next chapter in Eila’s story – if it’s anything like the first two books, it will take you on many twist and turns, on the verge of tears and laughter and any given moment! Great read!!

Holy undertow Batman!
Another cliffhanger to add to the list of 'Books Endings That Tested My Will!' Far from being unsatisfying, or totally devastating (like some cliffhangers I've read), the ending to Stormfront was just enough of a teaser to get you dying of anticipation for the next book.
It was funny, because I'd set this book aside for a little bit (to finish off some urgent reviewing) and I was chatting with K.R. Conway via Twitter. I told her how I was almost at the end of the book, and her response was, "You didn't get to the end yet? Oh dear..."
Aaaaand that made me realise that:
1. I had to pick up that book and finish it PRONTO!
2. I was in for one hell of a cliffhanger.
Luckily for me, K.R. described the ending best: "It's good, but it is also a shocker." And I give total author points to her for finding a way to balance the shock factor with a sense of satisfaction. It's a hard talent to acquire, and she did a spot on job :)
And the book itself was just as good.
Raef and Eila's relationship is further explored in Stormfront and I love the amount of personal growth Eila displays in this book. It's always nice to see a character acquire some kind of three-dimensionality - growing, changing and learning like any real person would. Stormfront's Eila seems more in control, and far more aware of her strengths. Go girl power!
You've gotta love a heroine who nicknames a mystery hunter Thor XD
I think the character I felt most for in this book was Raef. He seems to be so burdened - with guilt, and the constant fear of something bad happening to Eila. Poor guy! It can't be easy knowing you 'killed' (well, almost killed) your girlfriend. That would weigh on anyone, to be sure.
Overall I loved this book, can't wait for the next one, and am super-excited for Cruel Summer to make its appearance!

OMG…*Gasp*…What!!!...*Shakes head*…*Speechless*…Those were my reactions while reading Stormfront by K.R. Conway. I have been wanting to read this book since the last chapter of Undertow and was sooo happy to got my hands on a copy of Stormfront. It was so worth the wait!!!
Stormfront picks up from incident at the Breakers which our characters can’t seem to escape from but time is not on their side….As an aside…If you have not read Undertow, I would highly advise reading that first which starts the journey of Eila being uprooted from her comfortable, ordinary Kansas City to beautiful Cape Cod due to an unknown inheritance which changes everything she’s ever known to be true. Or if you are capable, you can “reload” it from someone who read the book!
Stormfront, unlike Undertow, is written from the perspective of our two main characters, Eila and Raef. I loved reading their perspective about each other and getting to know Eila and Raef better through their thoughts, feelings and reactions to whatever is thrown at them. Through their eyes, we are reintroduced to Miss pulls no punches, Ana, Mr. “perfect and polished”, MJ and Kian who shows a more “human” side. They all try to enjoy a “normal” high school life but unfortunately that is not that simple. We are also introduced to a new character who maybe a friend or foe. Can he be trusted? Can Christian be trusted?
Stormfront is a great read because it takes you on an amazing ride that answers questions from Undertow, keeps you guessing and throws you off guard, especially with what was revealed at the end!! Talk about the author stepping up her game in this book!! I’ll be waiting for that third book!!!!
Stormfront picks up from incident at the Breakers which our characters can’t seem to escape from but time is not on their side….As an aside…If you have not read Undertow, I would highly advise reading that first which starts the journey of Eila being uprooted from her comfortable, ordinary Kansas City to beautiful Cape Cod due to an unknown inheritance which changes everything she’s ever known to be true. Or if you are capable, you can “reload” it from someone who read the book!
Stormfront, unlike Undertow, is written from the perspective of our two main characters, Eila and Raef. I loved reading their perspective about each other and getting to know Eila and Raef better through their thoughts, feelings and reactions to whatever is thrown at them. Through their eyes, we are reintroduced to Miss pulls no punches, Ana, Mr. “perfect and polished”, MJ and Kian who shows a more “human” side. They all try to enjoy a “normal” high school life but unfortunately that is not that simple. We are also introduced to a new character who maybe a friend or foe. Can he be trusted? Can Christian be trusted?

Let me first say: I love how K. R. Conway writes. I have read a good many YA novels in my life, and she is by far one of the best writers in the genre. Her characters are so real you'd swear they're sitting next to you while you're reading. And I have to admit to having a crush on Kian. And maybe a little one on MJ.
The story picks right up after the events of the first book in the series, Undertow. The action never flags, either. It took me four days to read it, and the only reason it took that long was because of my job and family. Otherwise I'd have sat down and read the whole thing in one sitting. I won't give away much here in this review, because that would be doing a disservice to the book: you simply need to buy it or borrow it and READ IT. If you loved Undertow, then hang on, because Stormfront is even better. I will say this: there are some changes in relationships. I won't mention which ones - you need to read it for yourself.

I thought it made sense to stop the story there for now, but it's also driving me crazy, because something big happens at the end, and now I have to wait until next year(?) to find out what comes next. I really loved the first in this series and the second certainly didn't disappoint! It is so refreshing to read a paranormal book that is not on vampire or werewolves.
At the end of Undertow I was left wanting more instantly, unfortunately I had to wait a year in order to be able to read the continuation of the story. I was soo happy to continue reading this story.
The story is set not long after the incident in the Breakers at the end of Undertow, so reading the first is an absolute must in this series. The gang are under suspicion with the FBI and trying to keep ahead of them as well as fend off new potential threats.
It has the same combination of dual POV narrative as Stormfront and is filled with the same action as the first. I was gripped from the start and fell even more in love with Raef and Eila. I loved also getting to know more about Ana, MJ & the gorgeous Kian. Another 5* and straight on my favourites shelf as one of my fave series.

Why I Picked It Up
I absolutely adored Undertow so of course I needed to get my hands on this one!
Plot
Stormfront was full of unexpected surprises, new characters, and a whole lot of action. Regarding plot, it was definitely more engaging than book one, which I wouldn’t have thought possible. The pacing in this book was fast which kept me absolutely glued to the book. I put a lot of emotional stake into what happened to the characters. There wasn’t a single dull moment in the entire book and I found myself wishing that I could read faster so I could know what happened next.
Leading Lady
Eila grew stronger in this novel. Of course Raef was as protective as ever, but she refused to let him smother her. She wanted to be able to defend herself which I find admirable. She was tough in the fights that she was in. She also learned more about her heritage in this novel than the previous one. I was nice to see some of Elizabeth’s history and how that affected Eila. I can’t wait to see how much more she comes into her powers. Other than that, she was still selfless as ever. And funny. And just great overall.
Leading Male
Raef, as I mentioned, was just as protective as always and that got him in trouble with Eila a few times. He had to learn to take a step back and let her be her own person. He chillaxed a bit more in this novel. He always put her first and I adore that about him.
Romance
The romance in this novel was just as flaming as in the first once Raef let go of his idea of not being with Eila until she could defend herself. I knew it wasn’t going to last long. The chemistry between the two characters was just too undeniable. Raef and Eila seem to forge a deeper emotional connection in this novel with their fears for each other and Eila’s want to protect herself. They get a lot of things out in the open, complete with a few arguments, but it really just made them closer. I loved them and I want more of them!
Other Characters
We see more of the other characters in this novel as well. For the most part, the quotes above speak for themselves. MJ was as quirky and supportive as always. There was more development and glimpses of Ana and Kian’s past together and I liked the lead up that we have for Cruel Summer. I want more than anything to know what exactly happened between the two of them. We see more of Christian in this novel as he has taken up residence in the Cape to look after Eila. And finally, we are introduced to a new character from Elizabeth’s past that I won’t talk about for fear of spoilers.
World Building
As I mentioned, we get more of Elizabeth’s past in this novel and we also pull in some unexpected characters. I really enjoyed piecing together the information that we discovered over the course of the novel. It all lead to an absolutely evil cliffhanger that left me gaping like a fish. Hopefully we’ll get the next book soon!
Conclusion
Stormfront was even better than Undertow: it had double the action, double the unexpected twists, and double the history. An engaging book that I refused to put down, it is definitely one that I can recommend.

This is the second book in the series, and there’s no sophomore slump here! The book is just as entertaining to read as the first book, Undertow! If you’ve missed the first book in the series, you can easily catch up with the recap at the start (although I’d recommend reading the first book, too!). Our characters are just as awesome as in the first book, but now we get to learn more about them—and I loved what I learned!
First off, the love triangle that I thought was going to happen with Eila’s besties is not to be sadly. However, the relationship between Kian and Ana is so sweetly tragic and heart-breaking that I didn’t want there to be a love triangle anyway. I found myself wishing through so many parts of the book that they had their own story since I became so interested in their love story! But, that’s OK since we have Eila and Rafe’s forbidden/probably-bad-idea-but-who-cares romance to tie us over!
It’s so sweet how overprotective Rafe is over Eila, until you realize that Eila has the potential to be insanely strong. Add that to the fact that Rafe’s tempted to go to the dark side for the right reasons for Eila, makes you want to cringe for their situation. And it’s not like Rafe doesn’t have reason to worry; Eila’s been close to saying bye forever many, many times. The fact that Rafe had a hand in one of those many, many times doesn’t help either. I loved the characterization and growth with all our main and secondary characters (alternating first person POV of Eila and Rafe…*sigh* I wish Kian and Ana, too!).
We also have a mysterious new ally, shocking truths about the past, and unexpected surprises in the present. The romance is low heat and young adult appropriate. We also have wonderfully written training scenes in addition to exciting paranormal action. The book ends with a shocker ending and sets up the stage for an exciting third book, but I wouldn’t call it one of those cliffhangers that puts my teeth on edge—it’s a great ending. Overall, this is a 5 out of 5 for me and a favorite!

Wow – these books are such a treat to read! It’s really refreshing to dive into a book that has a great blend of romance, sizzle, action, and intrigue. I can’t recommend these books (and this author) enough. Even if you’re not a fan of paranormal romance, there’s enough mystery and plot to entertain a wide audience.
To start, you should read these books in order. This installment begins where the previous one left off with minimal recap. Eila, Raef, MJ, Ana, and Kian are still on a mission to unlock the secrets of Elizabeth’s past all while trying to hold on to their present. The characters in this book continue to be my favorite part. They are so relatable, entertaining, and “real” that you’re instantly drawn in and find yourself desperate to know what happens next to this crew. Yes, there is YA drama and romance, but it was done in such a way that it would appeal to any age reader out there. There are silly scenes where Eila and Ana just get to be teens and then there are the tougher, more grown-up situations where they are forced to make tough decisions.
The overall plot revolved around Eila’s quest to become more self-sufficient with her powers. This quest hinged on the need to unlock the diary that they all hope contains the answers they’re looking for. Of course, nothing ever goes as planned so there are a lot of detours along the way. We see the growth of Eila and Raef’s relationship, Raef and Kian struggling to balance what they are with what they’d like to be, and the further development of Kian and Ana’s relationship. MJ shouldn’t be forgotten either, since he’s the source of a lot of entertainment (and protection) along the way.
From the beginning of the book to the end, I was in love with this book. There were no slow parts or lulls in the action, romance, or mystery. At every turn, this book kept me glued to the page and 100% addicted. The writing style was easy and engaging, which made it easy to tear through the book at warp speed. If you’re looking for a wonderfully creative and unique read, look no further than the Undertow series.

Overall: 4.5 stars
I was completely drawn in by the first book in this series, Undertow, and Stormfront has kept the excitement and the intrigue going strong. Stormfront picks up not long after where Undertow left off. I love that this is a young adult series, yet as someone not in that demographic, I am completely invested in these characters, their storyline, and their world.
One new development in Stormfront is that we get the dual POV of both Eila and Raef. For this series, this change-up worked really well. I loved getting the extra insight into Raef's mind and feelings. His love and protection over Eila was super sweet. Watching the two of them together overcome obstacle after obstacle, seeing their love bloom and mature, was very tender and sweet. But what I also liked about them was how they challenged each other, how they grew individually, and honestly, I just liked them. They are a great couple to carry the storyline, yet their romance doesn't detract from the other exciting plot developments.
Another new development is the level up in the plot. Undertow was exciting and had great twists and turns. Stormfront kept up the momentum, introducing new layers and depths. Plus, there's a new character, Rillin (aka, Thor), that I really liked. He has a fascinating past and brought another level of mystery and insight to everything that was going on. And there was a whole lot going on. All of these things kept the story exciting and a page-turner. Oh, and let's not forget MJ, Anna, Kian and Christian. Yep, some great stuff happens with them, too.
I will say that there were a few slow spots, mostly the recap portions, which perhaps I was more sensitive to as I read both books back-to-back. But it wasn't a huge deal. Also, for those more sensitive to Raef and Eila's physically developing relationship, their closeness amps up, but it's tactful and fade-to-black.
Overall, I love this series - the characters, the storyline, the world, the mystery... all of it. Stormfront is a great continuation of what Undertow started, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Stormfront was absolutely and utterly amazing! But now I have to wait for the next book! Ugh!! I did not think it could get better than Undertow, but the bar in Stormfront was raised about ten notches!
K.R. Conway depicts a beautiful world of Mortis, lunaterra, sways, and more. It truly creates a world that I want to live in for the adventure. Eila is an 18 year old girl who's world is continuously flipped upside down when she moves to cape cod with her aunt Mae. Her voice is witty and is capable at making a person full on laugh out loud. In Stormfront, a reader now has the ability to read into Raef's sweet thoughts about what is happening in their world and with his lover, Eila. By K.R. Conway adding Raef's perspective it gives a whole new understanding of everything and spices things up! And of course, we can't forget to mention MJ, Ana, and Kian! Unlike Raef, they do not have their own perspectives in the book but reading through their dialogue is always so much fun! The mix of different personalities creates a great dynamic between friends, causing the reader to want to be just as good of friends with them!
In Stormfront the gang meets a couple new enemies, and some that aren't truly enemies. Rillin is a dark, handsome guy. Eila describes him most times as "Thor" because of his large stature. Rillin even has the tattoo's to push the bad boy limit! Though one truly does not know if he is a bad guy or a good guy in the book due to the mysterious way about him, but you have to read and make the decision for yourself!
Finally, Stormfront may possibly be one of my favorites books! The way the book is set on Cape Cod is absolutely stunning, especially the detail K.R. Conway describes it. Later on the gang moves to the Caribbean and by the way it is described I wanna head out to Bimini and Polaris. Maybe even stay in Christians magnificent home with Raef, Eila, Ana, Kian, and MJ! I feel very privileged to have been chosen to receive an ARC of StormFront because KR Conway is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors to read. The way this author tells a story sucks you in to where you don't want to put the book down – hanging on each word dying to know what will happen next. And let me tell you it is never what you think it will be. This is one author that you can’t “figure out” –you won’t know where the story is going until you get there, and when you get there it will be something you could have never imagined. Twists and turns don’t quite describe it.
Characters – wow what can I say – I love these characters from Eila right down to MJ’s mom and Mae. The characters in this book while fictional will completely remind you of the boy or girl down the street, someone’s mom you know, or even someone’s grandparent.
Without spoiling it for anyone, there is a particular scene in the book that is written with such class – details are not needed because the way this scene is portrayed is absolutely beautiful. I hope Ms. Conway knows the scene I am referring to because all I can say is Well done Ms. Conway, well done!
One of my favorite quotes of the book comes from MJ (a character that I absolutely adore) – “I’m going to refer to you as full-on chicken if you don’t stop stressing and get with the program.” This scene is one of my favorites in the book and had me laughing out loud for the majority of it.
What more can I say about this book – I laughed, I bit my fingernails with suspense, and I about jumped out of my chair at the ending. I can’t wait to keep on this journey to find out how this story turns out.
YA or not this series and this author are one of my favorites.

I hope Ms. Conway knows the scene I am referring to because all I can say is Well done Ms. Conway, well done!
One of my favorite quotes of the book comes from MJ (a character that I absolutely adore) – “I’m going to refer to you as full-on chicken if you don’t stop stressing and get with the program.” This scene is one of my favorites in the book and had me laughing out loud for the majority of it.
What more can I say about this book – I laughed, I bit my fingernails with suspense, and I about jumped out of my chair at the ending. I can’t wait to keep on this journey to find out how this story turns out.
YA or not this series and this author are one of my favorites.
I give StormFront 5 Stars and completely recommend this book, this series, and this author.

I had a hard time writing this review, as I am not blessed with the gift that K.R. Conway has. How to sum up just how refreshing this book is? In a market that is overrun with young adult supernatural romances, Stormfront (even more so than it’s prequel Undertow) certainly stands out. It has a completely original set of supernatural beings, rather than putting a new spin on the old standbys of vampires and werewolves. While there are some similarities to those creatures, they still have their own history and lore.
The reader is also spared contrived love triangles and a simpering heroine who needs to be rescued all the time. Most people, young women in particular, have their moments of doubt and insecurity. Eila definitely has these moments of uncertainty, (about her looks, how Raef feels about her, her own skills), but she doesn’t give in to these feelings and wallow. She powers through, and in that process finds her inner strength. Given the many obstacles that she faces, this comes across as a realistic (as realistic as a story involving supernatural beings can be).
I also appreciate that Conway weaves some excellent lessons on the importance of consent throughout the story. I was impressed with how organically this is accomplished. It feels completely natural and in keeping with the personalities of the characters, rather than something thrown in to make a point. So much of modern media downplays this or blatantly promotes the opposite.
While I enjoyed Undertow, Stormfront is more entertaining, but I think this has more to do with the progression of the story. It is more action packed and propels the story forward.
My one complaint, and it’s not a bad complaint, is the cliff hanger. When I finished this book, I was left stunned and angry that the next book is not available yet. I can’t wait to read what happens to Eila and the gang next.

I read Undertow and Stormfront back to back and loved every single bit of both books. It's going to drive me crazy having to wait for the next book!
I loved Eila even more in this book than the first one. She really comes into her own as a strong girl who accepts who she is and wants to fight to protect it. She becomes more confident in herself and in her relationship with Raef. I absolutely adore Raef. He understands the need to protect Eila but also learns when to back off a bit and show her that he supports her and has faith that she can handle herself. He's very sweet to her and always has her as his number one priority. I loved seeing their romance bloom and their bond become tighter than ever.
Of course I still love MJ, Ana & Kian and there are a lot of great scenes with all of them. Ana becomes such a great friend to Eila and she's also really funny. There is one new character we meet that becomes very important to Eila and her finding out who she really is because of who he is connected to from his past.
Nothing about this book was slow, it kept my attention all the way through and we are left with a good cliffhanger. I fully recommend this series! You won't be able to put it down!

This was a good sequel to Undertow, and I enjoyed it.
Eila was a good character in this, and she was certainly self-sacrificing. She did make some questionable decisions at times though, and didn’t always seem to be considering the seriousness of the situation.
I have to say that I was quite surprised by the dual narrative in this book as it was different to the first book. Raef came off as a bit over-protective though, and seemed to want to wrap Eila in cotton wool, which got a little annoying after a while. Give the girl some space please!
The storyline in this was good, although the pace was a little slow for me. I thought that the book flowed nicely, but there was some stuff in there that I once again didn’t feel moved the story along, which slowed things down even more.
There was some romance in here, although it didn’t dominate the story this time. Raef started to bug me by treating Eila like she was made of glass though.
The ending to this was action-packed and pretty good! We did get a giant cliff-hanger though!
Overall; good sequel,

The sequel to Undertow was terrific! I was nervous about reading Book 2 because I read Book 1 a while back and couldn't remember everything that happened. But K.R. Conway did a fantastic job slipping in reminders so that as I read Book 2, Book 1 scenes came back to mind. I never felt lost during the entire read! Thank you, Ms. Conway!
First off, I love these characters--Eila, Ana, MJ, Kian, and Raef. I so wish I could take a roadtrip with them. They all play so well off each other and you can feel the trust and affection between them all. The relationship between Eila and Raef (and Ana and Kian) develop further in this book and I enjoyed every second of it.
Thor was an interesting addition to the group and I love his backstory. Discovering Eila's abilities is really fascinating and I loved her training sessions.
The plot was intriguing and kept me guessing. Lots of threats and deadly moments to go around and crank up the tension throughout the book. It was a very fast, fun read!
I loved Christian and Elizabeth's story and I can't wait to hear more of it in Book 3!

STORMFRONT, the sequel to UNDERTOW, continues the story of Eila, Raef, Kian and MJ. Written from the perspectives of Eila and Raef, the book captures more of the essence of the saga. It rounds out the characters and fills in the gaps in their relationships. It also provides amazing twists and turns in the story. Just when you start to think you have things figured out Conway throws you another curveball. If you liked UNDERTOW you will love STORMFRONT. Conway has once again written a very believable story with characters and scenery that will sweep you away to another place. When you come back to reality you will wonder how so much time has passed and what this strange world is you have been dropped into. You actually miss everyone in the book as if they are your real friends and family. Well done, K.R. Conway.

OMG! This book surpassed the first one by far! I love the story! The new characters! Oh and the characters themselves! These group of friends are so funny and so adorable! I love how they went from friends thrown together in the first book to inseparable and not just because they had to be. I also love how the friendship between the girls grew! I really think they needed each other! Oh and my poor tortured Raef! I also enjoy how much the romance grew! This book was full of intrigue and kept me reading! I found my self enjoying this much more than the first! I really recommend this book!

This was just as good as the first one and I couldn't seem to put it down, I loved every minute of this one, The story line has amazing twists and turns and you really cant get a feel for the how the story line is going to go. It has that real "Cant figure it out" thing going on. Once again the author managers to blow me out of the water. After reading book one I couldn't wait to get my hands onto this one. Absolutely loved it and haven't got a bad thing to say about it .

I had so much fun reading this second book in the Undertow series. We learn more about the characters in this book and about their relationships to each other. Several sections had me laughing out loud. Cape Cod comes through vibrantly in all its' quirky glory (makes we wish I had read the book at the beach!) Mostly, though, the story is just compelling. It's hard to put down because it's really not clear where the story will go. Conway surprises throughout the book with interesting plot twists. And - oh - the ending! How are we to endure the wait for the next installment?

What in the world jut happened?
This was more than i ever expected. It was fast paced, exciting and overall incredible. I am not usually a fan of different POV in Y.A. books because they are not usually done very well. Conway, however, does it perfectly. I loved reading about how each character thought and felt about everything, and how they perceived different problems.
The only grievance i have is with the ending. It is not the worst one i have read (that would go to Opal by Jennifer Armentrout), but it may have scarred me.

Now that I have a few minutes, I wanted to expand on my first comments. Conway has created an interesting world, where morality is a central theme. Although the story could stand on its own, you would be better reading book 1 first for sure. I loved how easily I was drawn into this universe and how easy it was to visualize, helped by being a Cape washashore myself. My only complaint was that I felt the moral issues could have been delved into more deeply. But the characters are well developed and I enjoyed every word.

I believe I enjoyed this book even more than the first, Undertow. Stormfront was able to delve further into the characters, showing their depth. It begins in the snowy Northeast and whisks you away to a tropical local described so well, that any New Englander would eagerly travel to it the middle of winter. Strong new characters are introduced, and like any great read, twists and turns are unexpected and exciting. The end= perfection.

This is the second book in a page turning series! The first book Undertow captured you,this kept you entertained! Both left you wanting more! Very well written and every bit as entertaining as the first. I can't wait for the third! K.R. Conway is a gifted storyteller! I am looking forward to many more books in the future! Keep them coming!

I LOVE the Mortis and the Lunaterra theme that this book (and Undertow, natch) has created! Nothing like swirling powers in the mist and darkness of Cape Cod. The heat between Eila and Raef is fantastic, and the storylines are strong enough to keep the pages turning faster and faster as you get into the meat of the story. Totally absorbing, can't wait for the next.
