Jack, Lord Willoughby is charming, handsome, and utterly irresponsible. In other words, he's the worst person to entrust with the ducal wedding ring. Miss Henrietta Black is prim, proper and the ideal person to help find the priceless family heirloom that's gone missing...as long as she isn't distracted by Jack's gorgeous smile and tantalizing attempts at seduction. They MUST find the ring before the wedding ... if they aren't too busy falling in love.
That Rogue Jack was originally published in the anthology At the Duke’s Wedding. This version includes an exclusive new bonus epilogue: Jack & Henrietta Happily Ever After.

I was into the premise for this--scatterbrained rogue and practical woman!--buuuut it just felt so by-the-numbers. Here is the woman. Here is the man. Here is the attraction. It just never sparked for me at all.
Good ADHD rep, but the hero is a misogynist in the early chapters. The sex was lacking inspiration. For various minor historical inaccuracies/irregularities, and some large, central ones, the story felt a little anachronistic. The later chapters are far more enjoyable. Please, for the love of god, don’t ever bring an open flame into hay-filled stables. Overall, a fun and brief read, but not Rodale’s best by half.
This is a fun, charming novella that has made me an instant Maya Rodale fan. The characters are delightful and well-drawn, and a perfect match for each other. It's a quick read, a great pick-me-up for a rainy Saturday afternoon or whenever you have a couple of hours to curl up with a good book.
