"Mine to Use" by Kelani Knox delivers a high-stakes romance that plunges you into a world where hate and obsession collide. The story centers around Aliyah and Jackson, two characters who initially can't stand each other. Aliyah, a woman of many talents, seems to have a knack for getting under Jackson's skin, and the feeling is mutual. However, the dynamic shifts dramatically when Jackson corners Aliyah and forces her into a fake dating arrangement.

This setup immediately creates a compelling tension. Aliyah, despite her initial resistance, agrees to the arrangement due to Jackson's knowledge of her biggest secret. The narrative explores the power dynamics at play and the complex emotions that emerge as their fake relationship progresses.

The book excels at building slow-burn tension and exploring the fine line between love and hate. As Jackson and Aliyah navigate their forced proximity, their animosity begins to transform into something neither of them expected. The author effectively portrays the growing obsession and the blurring lines between pretense and genuine feelings.

The story is filled with drama and steamy desires, and the characters are well-developed. Aliyah is portrayed as a strong and fierce woman who doesn't back down, even when confronted by the powerful Jackson. Jackson is a compelling figure, and the narrative delves into the complexities of his character and his growing obsession with Aliyah.

"Mine to Use" is a well-written enemies-to-lovers story that delivers on its promise of a high-stakes romance. It's a story about deception, unexpected connections, and the way obsession can rewrite the rules.

My Rating System:
1⭐️: The book didn’t hold my interest and/or had significant issues that overshadowed any redeeming qualities for me, but generally not my cup of tea. Most likely did not finish the book.
2⭐️: The book didn’t quite resonate with me, and while my experience wasn’t remarkable, I did finish it. It had some redeeming qualities and potential but fell short in execution. Recommendable, though with some reservations.
3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Still worth recommending to others.
4⭐️: Really enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout. Would read the book again. Definitely recommendable.
5⭐️: Incredible writing that made me deeply connect with the characters. I was completely absorbed in the world and didn’t want it to end. This book stayed with me even when I wasn’t reading it. I'd gladly reread it and highly recommend it to everyone!.

Thoroughly enjoyable story

Just loved the verbal sparring between these two unforgettable yet damaged protagonists. What a Fabulous story and its just the start to this series. So for the plot, dialogue and characterisation 5 stars. No argument there. However, I am not happy with the book cover. The artist could not have read the book as the picture bears no resemblance to jackson.I have to admit the.picture out me off reading the book initially but I wanted to read the second book in the series and realised I needed to.read this book first. I am so glad I did! Such a powerful novel!! Sorry but the picture did not fit with the character!! I have nothing against bald men, my husband is bald but the character, Jackson is described as having hair so why out a bald man with a tattoo on the front covet!! Miss Knox, you do your book a disservice!! Great read and am moving on to the next book in the seried

Jackson and Aliyah: An amazing duo!

Wow! I loved this book! I loved both our main MCs (Jackson and Aliyah), but I must admit that Aliyah really stole my heart in this one! I loved how assertive, strong, unafraid, resilient and determined she is! She went toe to toe with Jackson and I loved every second of their banter. She is a waitress in a Lou Diner’s (only, this is just to cover her real job –which I will leave as a surprise here). He comes there once for business – her sharp tongue keeps him coming back for more. She has amazing people skills, so, he decides to virtually (and literally) kidnap her to help him closing some deals. A rollercoaster of events occur till these to get their HEA. But each page was explosive and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to learn what happens next. This story had it all – drama, action, hotness (phewww), danger – you name it, it’s there – so it gave me all the feels. Definitely a 5-star read in my opinion.

Nothing better than having a book just jump into the action and story that keeps you hooked. Aliyah is a tough woman and doesn't back down from anything. She is fiery and when Jackson comes into the restaurant that she works in she doesn't back down from him. Jackson has never met a woman that challenges him and keeps him on his toes like Aliyah. I started this book and couldn't put it down till I got to the end. It was full of action, chemistry between Jackson and Aliyah, and a good sense of humour. I enjoyed this story immensely. There is nothing better than having a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat and you cannot guess what's going to happen. I highly recommend this book!!!

DNF. The story itself is well written but dialogue and characters are too corny.

The dialogue is corny and the lead characters are annoying. Lead female is your stereotypical hardened bad girl who’s secretly a good girl who’s been hurt by others and “will never let anyone in to hurt her again.” While the leading man is just the stereotypical mafia bad boy. I had to skip around a bunch and couldn’t make it past chapter 7 I think. I’ll try this authors other works but I hope they’re better than this one.

I absolutely LOVE this story

I search for Aliyah and Jackson book.
I came from Naya and Ryker book and I knew I had to find out more about their story.
And I’m so glad I did, they had so much personality that I loved it.
Compare to Naya and Ryker, who love story was a slow build.
These two came out the pan fire hot and I absolutely LOVED it.
Aliyah did not back down from anything esp. not Jackson.
I enjoy their banter and her quick come backs.
I love that she pushed him and match his energy honestly this was a great and much needed read!

This is a nice enemies to friends story and takes us on the journey that Aliyah and Jackson make together. They can't stand each other but that changes when he comes up with the idea of a fake date and what should have been a fake date slowly grows into something more. Good storyline with characters that keep your attention.

Interesting Story, but...

I did enjoy the storyline and the characters were a lot of fun but I wish it was edited. There were so many times the scenes didn't make much sense and I had to reread the passage to figure out what was happening. Also the way someone looks would change within a scene. Like she's wearing pants and a blouse, then a dress, then back to pants... one times the hair was curled but later referenced as braided.
Anyway, I like the story.

What has Jackson done to Aliyah, that she hates him at first sight? And what will it take to resolve their little problem? There is trouble ahead that requires them both to be on the same page. A really good read.

Good Book

Aaliyah and Jackson’s Love Story. Basically two people coming together fighting their own demons. About two people letting the ghost of the past go. To finally let Love in. About two people expecting who each other are. Great story. Great Book.

Almost DNF

This book was over the top, and not in a good way. In a teenage angst way. Way too repetitive and the storyline, and melodramatic way it was written, had me rolling my eyes throughout the entire book. The characters and story were underdeveloped, imo.

A MATCH MADE IN …

If you are looking for two compatible people, don’t look any further, Jackson and Aliyah are on top of the list. She is the female version of him… they both fought it, but they are inevitable.
Great characters, great storyline. I read Ryker & Naya a while ago, so it was nice seeing them again!!

Slow Read

The book was okay. It took awhile for it to get good. I kept putting it down. Once it got to the climax I enjoyed the book.
