This was a fun and steamy read!! Despite being short it introduced a lot of fun characters who I hope to see more of in the future! I love shifters and fated mates so this was right up my alley!

My only wish is that we got more time with our main pairing to get to know each other rather than just physical attraction, I loved their chemistry together and just wanted more and more!

The duel POV in Mine to Claim explores the story of Human FMC Lila and Alpha MMC Grayson, highlighting their intense chemistry and instant attraction. Grayson's short but impactful scenes showcase his possessiveness, while Lila's character is marked by her sweetness, naivety, and sassiness.

This book was so good! It is the perfect mix of sweet, cute, spicy, funny, and wholesome. I absolutely loved it! 🥰

Lila just broke things off with her shitty, abusive boyfriend when she goes home to her best friend Dani's family...who are werewolves! What she gets when they arrive caught us all off guard. 👀

Dani is SUCH a great friend, and Lila is such a badass! These two are a fantastic pair, and I absolutely LOVE the HEA they both get! 🥹🥰 Dani's Dad is very alpha, very dominant, very touch her and die. We love a morally grey Daddy! 😍🙌🏻 And he happens to be her best friend's MATE?!
We all need a friend like Dani, and we all need a mate like Lila's. 🥵🥰

I have officially entered my Shifterverse era and I am never coming back!!!

Mine to Claim by JP Sina absolutely claimed ME — heart, soul, and probably a few brain cells because I am OBSESSED.
First of all... best friend saves me after a breakup? Cool.
Best friend turns out to be a werewolf? Love that for her.
BUT THEN.
BUT THENNNN.
I find out I’m her dad’s mate???
HER. DAD'S. MATE.
Send help because I was giggling, gasping, and kicking my feet the entire time.

The only thing I wish? That it was LONGER. I could've lived in this story for days and still not gotten enough of it.
The vibes were immaculate, the banter was top tier, and don't even get me started on the spice.

I can't wait to devour the rest of the Shifterverse series like the little book goblin I am!!

I feel like this is perfect if you are looking for a short, smutty shifter story with some chasing elements, a hint of forbidden romance and shifted action. It's a quick read and the setup, with the terrible abusive ex, means that you really feel like our FMC deserves what she gets at the end (what she gets at the end being a gigantic coke can up to her middle).

The story didn't quite work for me and I think that's because I wanted deeper exploration of what was going on. The FMC was frustratingly incurious about the world that she had found herself in, and was just along for the ride which meant that as readers, we didn't get much sense of that world, either. The setup was really delicious - there is this close, strange environment that she suddenly finds herself in, with this overwhelming, fascinating man that she knows she shouldn't be going anywhere near, yet it never really followed through on that delicious tension. There's an awful lot of dialogue between her and her best friend, which I wanted to like, but I felt like it was distracting from what was more important - the build up of the romance.

Another thing that gave pause was the idea of consent within the story. Now, to be clear, I don't take issue with non-consensual scenes in dark romances, but this didn't feel like a dark romance. The MMC explicitly ignores our FMC's nos - I understand that her body was clearly saying yes, but she was not, and (maybe this is just me?) I would have found the story much hotter if he had honoured her no and let the tension build until she had changed it to a fully informed, consenting yes.

I get that some of my criticism comes down to me wishing that this was a longer story, with more opportunity for depth, and that's not what this story was aiming for. It's a short, hot read with plenty of Os and if that is what you are looking for then it is absolutely the right story for you.

I read an advance copy of this book. My thoughts are very much my own.

Y'all already know I'm a huge JP Sina fan, but she really outdid herself with this short, steamy novella. I don't know how she was able to get me SO invested in Lila and Grayson with so few pages, but she did it. And I NEED more of them. If you love the shifterverse, found family, fated mates, burning spice and a sweet story, you'll be needing more, too.

I love the chemistry between them, but what really got me was how Grayson's pull on Lila was able to make her see herself in a whole new light, and gets her to shed her inhabitions. How his attention, and the destiny that exists between them, seemingly melted all her insecurities and self doubt away. In the short amount of time we spend with Lila, she goes through quite a bit. Things that can take some people a near lifetime to deal with the aftermath of. But she blossoms in such a sweet, almost innocent way, and it's wonderful to read. I can't wait for y'all to get your hands on it and see what I mean for yourselves. I genuinely hope we get more of their and the packs story. I would love to read more about Dani and Jace, or Van. Or all the pack members we didn't get to meet.

Now, while this was a short, done in one sitting read, it did not hold back on the heat! There's definitely plot and story (good, engaging story at that) here, but I would also place this one into the 'one handed read' category because it gets deliciously sexy and smutty. Talk about a cold shower inducing read! *fans self* Which is why I'm rating this overall 4 ⭐ (only cause it was so short!) read 5 outta 5 🌶️'s on the spice sale!

This is the first book to be released as part of the Shifterverse which is interlocked/interconnect series with multi- authors.

Mine to Claim is a short novella by JP Sina and like all her other books she does not disappoint.
You can binge this novella in just one sitting. It’s fast paced, gets you emotional invested, packs a punch with the spice and will leave you wanting more. And believe me you will want more.

You have Lila who is in a controlling relationship which turns abusive. With the help of her best friend Dani, she takes a break to help her heal both physically and emotionally.

Unknown to Lila though this little break will turn into much more when she encounters Grayson, who just so happens to be Dani’s father. I will say this that this encounter is hot and heavy to say the least.

I love the way Lila accepts that Dani is a werewolf and their close relationship that they have as well as chemistry between Lila and Grayson. Who doesn’t want their own Grayson - swoon.

If this is the start of the Shifterverse series then I am invested hook, line and sinker. Can’t wait to see where this series leads.

I was lucky received an ARC from the author so here is my honest review.

This is a short novella, and all of it is introduction to a storyline we don’t get to read. Still, it was fun and sexy, and the little plot we got to see was interesting enough to keep the reader entertained until the smut arrived. However, I am not personally fan of instalove and instalust tropes, which this book has plenty.
I would have also liked to learn more about the love interest’s personality and what being an alpha or mates mean, specially with Dani’s mother passing away years ago. Can a wolf have more than one mate? Were they even mates? If they weren’t, why did they chose each other? And how did she pass away? But if they were mates, what does losing a mate mean? Is Grayson still in pain? Does it affect his relationship with the main character? The story was too short to answer any of these questions, which made world-building feel lazy.
However, I don’t think that mattered for what was the true purpose of the book: read smut. So let’s appreciate it for what it is: a fast paced, nsfw werewolf story with an older, dangerous love interest who wants to claim the main character the second he meets her. In those terms, this was good.

short and spicy, exactly what I expected from the author! I always enjoy her writing, so full of monsters and smut, but the short stories always leave me wishing there was so much more! She knows how to get you on the hook in such a short time, that always leaves you wanting more of these brutish, alpha males.
But it's seeing the FMC take something back for herself in each book that always has me coming back to @jp__sina for more monster smut. She is so damn good at what she does 🙌🏾

This was shorter and it moved very fast. Dani was funny, very confident. Lila was the opposite of that, but once they went beyond the veil of human living and into the dark forbidden side; Lila learned about werewolves, about acceptance, and that being herself was more than enough. She met alpha Grayson, Dani's Dad. The kitchen voyeur scene was only the beginning. It got really intense with the spice.🙊 It was the🩸Blood Moon🩸celebration, where call of the wild took on a whole new meaning.🥵 Awoo!! Happy reading.*•>§<•*❤️❤️

⭐️This was my first Shifterverse Book to read. A big thanks to the author J.P. Sina for the ARC.

This Novella is a quick read, standalone with dual POVs. There are TW at the beginning.

Lila is the FMC who is human. Her best friend Dani is a wolf shifter. After a traumatic event Lila learns Dani is a wolf shifter and comes along with her to her home pack.

Grayson is the MMC who happens to be Dani’s Dad and Alpha of the pack. His POV are short, Spicy and are Alpha Male.

The plot was predictable but I loved every minute of it! I was intrigued and found the plot interesting and enjoyable.

Parker is a big D-Bag! 🤣 I was intrigued with his yellow eyes and wonder if maybe we will see him again in the Shifterverse series? I loved that the bar was called Wolfsbane! So very creative!

I would love to have a more in depth book on these characters as there is great potential!

I’ve loved the best friend's father trope since I read Gorgeous Monster, and this one was really good. I also love shifter universes, and werewolves! This book was written really well, and had me captivated from beginning to end. It had the right amount of spice for a short novella like this. Started off pretty sad but it all changes when she reaches pack territory. I wasn’t really a fan of how they first met, but it was still hot. They definitely had chemistry and I’m not a fan of fated mates unless it’s werewolves, maybe that makes me a weird kind of hypocrite but I don’t care. Smut was pretty good., especially the mating and knotting scene. And I love the whole “tell me to stop” “don’t stop” trope. I loved Grayson, such a gentleman trying to hold himself back but we all knew he was feral inside. I liked Lila, but I just couldn’t help but feel like he was a rebound. The love confession from her at the end was a little dramatic considering they just met, and she didn’t feel the whole mate thing like Grayson did. But it was still a fun short smutty read and I give it a 4.5/5

This novella was so passionate, I loved, loved, loved it. She obviously deserved more than her scummy ex and I adored that she and Grayson couldn’t stay away from each other. The way JP showed his passion with short compelling chapters helped demonstrate how he couldn’t hold back from his fated mate. I loved that their passionate encounters, slowly moved on from foreplay to a full mating during the blood moon. I think this was my favourite story by Ms Sina-this short story is the perfect bedtime read.

First JP Sina book ive read and now I understand the hype. Also, first book released in the shifterverse and oh boy, it definitely started with a bang. Just enough spice within a novella.

I could not stop and literally finished it in a day. I mean, how could you know. It was one thing after the other. Ex turns out to be a jerk so of course, best friend to the rescue! Which I love because who doesn't love a strong female bond. I always appreciate that. BUT, my favorite part had to be not only finding out that her best friend is a werewolf, GASP!, but then turning out to be the mate of her bffs hot dad! Totally did not see that coming!!! I mean, now you know why I couldn't put this book down! Had to find out what would happen next.

Which is what you should totally do! I totally recommend this novella and just wish it was a little bit longer. I think I just want more because who wouldn't want to know what happens next!

Everyone needs a bestie like Dani. Kind, body positive, sassy and supportive of your most questionable decisions. Who also has a smoking hot dad.
As the start of the Shifterverse shared world, a series of interconnected standalones, I cannot wait to see how things in this universe unfold. Though the world building is minimal, there are tiny little Easter eggs that I feel like might be helpful later.
I do, however wish it was a smidgen longer so that we could have gotten a little bit more character building with Grayson. Lila comes off as such a complete character that in comparison the tiny glimpses we get of him doesn't make him feel as fleshed out.
All in all, this was amazing. Short, sweet and steamy. JP Sina is at the top of my auto read pile.

Phew this was hawt!

Okay so this was a pretty quick read for me but dang was I absolute here for it!

Lila was just expecting a simple date night with her boyfriend when she realizes that the distance between them had grown too much. And when she found out he had been cheating & his reaction to her finding out, she knew she was done. Calling on her friend to pick her up, she knew she wanted to go stay with her & her family but she wasn’t expecting the surprise she dropped. Werewolves.

Well if her night couldn’t get anymore exciting, that news surely helped. But then she has an encounter with a hot man in the kitchen & yeah life changed.

This was a quick read but pretty steamy when they crossed paths.

Short, Spicy and So Addictive!

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Spice Level: 4/5 – It gets hot in the middle and especially at the end!

This novella takes you on an emotional rollercoaster with a forbidden mate twist that adds so much tension and excitement. The FMC is struggling with a toxic past, and her best friend (who has a few secrets of her own) takes her in and opens her world to something much bigger than she could imagine.

What I loved about this story is how the author builds the connections between the characters, gradually ramping up the stakes without feeling rushed. The forbidden romance aspect really drew me in, and the ending had some unexpected moments!

This is my first book by JP Sina, and I can confidently say it won’t be my last. I’m definitely recommending this to my book besties who love short, spicy, and paranormal reads.

Despite the short length of this story, it does not skimp on the spice at all! There's multiple scenes of on-page fun between Lila and Grayson. The plot was simple but still complex enough to give some depth to the characters. I really enjoyed the pack princess/best friend character that gives moral guidance to Lila and doesn't judge her at all for becoming her new step-mom. The other pack members in the story were also fun additions. By flipping between Lila's point of view in pages of scenes and details to Grayson's simple one or two line thoughts, the author keeps you engaged. I loved how Grayson went from wanting to keep his distance, to one touch won't hurt, to being all in with Lila. It was fun to see him have that moment to completely relinquish his restraint and give them both what they wanted.

This is a short novella involving Lila and Grayson was short and a true novella. I love novellas, especially the depth that you can really get from novellas in a short amount of time. I enjoyed Lila's character from the beginning, she had an emotional depth to her that I appreciated from the beginning. This was an okay story from my pov, because I enjoyed the smutty goodness that we got in that throne room, like that was hot. I'm a fan of insta-lust/ insta-love and just all the instas, but there has to be an emotional connection at some point. That's what I was missing from Lila and Grayson's story. I wanted to know more about the characters and their back story because they were interesting. Over, all this novella was just that something quick and simple to read. Thank you for the ARC for this novella for my own opinions.

ARC Review

Once again JP Sina does what she does best with taking beautiful dark themes and turning them in a spicey miniature masterpiece. Though short read it doesn't lack the ability to keep the reader entertained till the end. Lila is just a woman with no real place to call home and no real family to call her own. Dani, her best friend is her rock and is honestly all a girl could ask for in a bestie. When life hits the fan she's there for Lila and takes her back with her to her home for break. It's there that she meets Grayson, Dani's dad and Alpha of their pack. The rest is history. And woo! Not that I needed another book boyfriend but I'd happily welcome Grayson into the fold. I can't wait to see what Sina has in store for the rest of the shifterverse!

Here I go again, obsessed with another monster written by JP Sina ♡ 🐺

It was a quick read that left a big oomph...and when he said "I crave you" I melted into a puddle of goo. 🥰🫠

Grayson had a few moments in his point of view that were short but left a big impact.

I'm happy for both of their second chance at love, lila had been hurt by her ex emotionally and physically while the Alpha had lost his Luna. They were meant to be from the first moment their eyes connected while he had a woman bent over in the kitchen. I was excited to see where this was going. The smut was spicy and left me wishing it was longer.

Honestly, i will never say no to a monster romance!!
