Lennox Collins is a spoiled and pretentious twenty-something; believing anyone living below the poverty line should be extinguished from the earth.
In reality, she’s no different from those she thinks are beneath her since she pathetically reaps from her father’s wealth. After reluctantly saving a strange homeless man from his demise, she slowly discovers a new being within herself. While she nurses him back to health, her daily ritual and sleeping patterns begin to evolve into a life she could never fathom.
There’s only one problem though; the deeper she goes, the less she can differentiate between reality and her own mind.
*This is a contemporary romance with supernatural elements*
Jill Patten was born a Yankee, but raised a southerner. She lives in the small town of Mayberry, North Carolina which was made famous by a popular TV show back in the sixties. (Maybe there will one day be a statue of her at the end of Main Street. Ha! A girl can dream, right?)
Jill has always loved to read, even during reading labs in middle school for reading comprehension. Judy Blume was her first author she hero-worshipped, maturing to revere the works of Stephen King. With all the fantastic authors today, she simply cannot choose a favorite. Her taste is very eclectic and she loves almost all genres. When she's not captivated by her fictional characters, she spends time with her sweet husband and two beautiful children.
Music is her muse. Jill also loves elephants, sarcasm, and anything made with sugar, especially sweet tea. She enjoys all things rude and crude and laughs at stuff she probably shouldn't. She has been accused of being bossy a time or two, but doesn't really see it herself.
All in all, Jill is just a small town girl in this great big world trying to enable your book addiction.
Oh, and if you read her book, please leave her a review - good or bad, she'll love you forever.
***NEW RELEASE YOU CAN'T MISS*** O.K. Lennox plucked my last nerve at the beginning but she is supposed to so the author did a fantastic job. It's not long until your pulled into this one and so many unexpected turns you don't see coming. This is a quick read and Aaron is ....um...very intriguing. The story speedily unfolds but has so much happening you'll need to hang on tight for the ride. There isn't much to say without giving the plot and or ending away and I hate spoilers. I will say the grocery store scene is intense and so is another one but I just can't say which. I know this is a very vague review and my apologies but truly any part will give it away. The characters are endearing and interesting. The steam factor is HOT. This is a great mid week and or day read.
Let me know how you liked it and don't forget to leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads.

Now, I'm not the biggest PNR reader and I always try to avoid them where I can, but I bought this book knowing it was a PNR and I actually... liked it.
Yes.
I. Liked. It.
But who I didn't like was Lennox. I had to get a good 60% in before I started to get her. But then by the end of the story, I realised why she was supposed to be such a bitch. For you to truly understand this girl and her character, you simply have to read this book. You just have to.
And Aaron... I knew there was something about him, but I couldn't put my finger on it. And then once I knew, I couldn't believe I'd missed it!! I don't want to go into too much detail because any of it will give the story away. But I recommend this book for an afternoon read filled with some hot scenes and angst!
Lennox is a spoiled bitch that lives off her dads wealth. One night while driving her car tyre blows out and a scruffy stranger helps her change the tyre. She then takes off. She then rescues the same scruffy man from a gang of thugs and unwillingly takes him back to hers to recover. I was sucked in from the very beginning of this book and really enjoyed it. There is a supernatural theme to it and even though I sort of guessed what was going to happen, it still didn't go exactly the way I thought it would. I really liked Lennox's character even though she can be really bitchy, but I sometimes wish I could be more like her even though I wanted to slap her at certain points. Aaron is a likable character, I love how he gets under her skin and changes her for the better. This story is definitely one that is different from other romance / supernatural reads and from an author that I drop everything to read her newest release, this one doesn't disappoint.
I received an arc copy from the author in exchange for an honest review 5 stars for amazon & 4.5 stars for Goodreads
review tomorrow .... but awesome story .... I liked Lennox in the end ....
Ok - it's now today. This is a different kinda love story, bit of a mystery and a twist. I dont want to give anything away so this wont be a long review!
Different to Jill's other books - in so much it didn't rip my heart out and stomp on it - I really did not like Lennox at the start but it took a while for her too redeem herself, but Aaron, well Aaron was a sweetheart from the start.
As I said, as different kinda love story and one I could actually see as a movie!
ARC received from the author for an honest review.
Loved every minute of this book! Twists and turns, not what you expect! A story about how true love can change you into the person you were born to be.
What a rollercoaster ride of a book, literally I didn’t know which way was up or down nor how my emotions survived being tossed and turned so much, I wasn’t sure if I had the inclination to strangle the lead female protagonist or if I wanted to hug her. I can say with my hand on my heart that Jill Patten is a cunning and highly skilled writer, she may have developed a manipulative, cruel and vindictive persona in Lennox our anti-hero but the painful and chaotic journey her character goes through and the inevitable transformation was very well done, it wasn’t instant, it takes certain events and life choices to bring her to that pivotal epiphany moment where she realises what a horrible person she has become.
“Your icy exterior is only paper thin. Beneath that bitchy persona you try to portray, I know there’s a kind and loving heart beating. You’ve just not met the right person to crack that façade.” He pulled away from my grasp and started to walk down the hall. When he was about two steps in, he turned back around, walked up to me, bent his head down toward my ear and whispered “Be careful, I will melt you.”
The person that helps her do that is mysterious and handsome Aaron, a work of art in characterisation, he’s humble, downtrodden and in possession of inner beauty as well as outer and it’s through his perseverance and tenacity that he shows Lennox how good things can be especially when loves comes along and begins to heal them both. There are superb elements of the supernatural in Inseparable Strangers which actually surprised me as I hadn’t a clue what the book would entail but it elevates the entertainment value of the story and I do love a good paranormal romance story especially if there is depth to the players rather than the same old one-dimensional characters. It’s smart, a little different and a whole lot sweet when you add in the epic love story. My only problem with Inseparable Strangers was just how mean Lennox actually was in the beginning, her rants and tantrums often verged on psychotic rages which in turn had me taking a lot longer to warm up to her as the story progressed and I think it all hinges on how you can connect and identify with the lead characters but other than that it was a terrific bit of writing with a dramatic and beautiful tale of forgiveness and redemption.

Where should I start? I know most readers don't like Lennox but I loved her. It was refreshing to read a different type of story for once. Lennox being a total B**** was so different from most stories out there. She was confident and in some ways thought the way a lot of people think but afraid to say it. Who could not fall for Aaron? He is sweet, charming and different from what Lennox was use to. I was real surprised what happens in this book. At first I didn't think I would like it but as the story unfolded I found it delightful and it totally keep me wanting to read more. There's a twist that I wasn't expecting and just made the story even more appealing. I would recommend all to read especially if you want something different than your average love story. Changing for the one you love is powerful!
Jill, You had me captivated from the first page. All I could think as I read a few chapters in, was how I wanted to smack Lennox across her face to wake her up. I think bringing Aaron in the way you did and having him show her kindness and love, made her realise the person she really was. Then the way you wrote him, I was like wow he is amazing, he can't be real, and it shows that love can really change the lives of us all( even if it is only in books, sometimes it happens ;-),). Also love the little twists and turns through out the book, kept it interesting. Was a little disappointed with they way it ended, but you know what, it can either lead into another book and if not it leaves it up to our own imagination. Thinking about that I think the ending ended the way it was meant to. Loved it!!!!!! Can't wait to read more stories from you Jill. Thanks again. Eliza xo
I loved this. But I will be honest and say I was very hesitant at first. I did not like Lennox and wanted to bitch slap her on more than one occasion. I was hooked on the growing relationship between Lennox and Aaron. Their love story is different from the ones you read about every day. I was sad to see this end.
3.5 stars. This story was well written and the Characters were endearing and interesting. A lot happened that I did not foresee. It's a little hard to review without giving away the unexpected twist . A quick and enjoyable read. received complimentary ARC in exchange for honest review.
I admit in the beginning chapters I didn't like Lennox, but when Aaron is there he brings out the woman she really is. I love the emotions/feelings that brings out. You will be surprised & shocked to see where the story goes. I'll def be reading more by her.

This was a different type of romance/paranormal book. It played on your heart strings but also showed you what true love can look like. I was a little hesitant at first as to how the relationship was ultimately going to work out, but true love came out on top.
Wow, I certainly was not expecting the outcome of this story. It is different from anything I have read and was very entertaining. A couple of the characters remind me of some people that I know.
I love paranormal reads. I loathed Lennox at the beginning. I questioned some of the decisions she made but on the whole this was a fresh take on a love story.
Not sure what this story was about when starting this book. Couldn't put it down once started. Very intriguing and entertaining. Can't wait to read more from this Author.
The blurb does not really give you enough information. So for a while this book was a bit confusing to me. But I soon started putting things together. In the end, I loved this book. It had numerous twists and turns and just boggled your mind in places.
The characters were irritating, likeable and in the end I was rooting for them all the way. It was very well written. I want to read more books by Jill Patten!
