I’ll be honest, of the entire series thus far, this was definitely my least favorite. It seemed excessively over dramatic, and overall didn’t do much for me. I also figured out who the killer was very early on. Also, book number seven left us in a tense position. If you read it, you know what I’m talking about. I was looking forward to seeing where this part of the plot was going to take us. Without giving too much away, in this book, more of that has developed. Whereas the last book left me in suspense, and interested. This book has not peaked my interest or made me want to find out more about this particular portion of the plot.
Laura has been struggling with her visions which, sometimes, she doesn't understand properly or they just don't happen when she expects or needs them and they have to work as normal detectives do. There are some inconsistencies in the way the story was written, but it does not mean it's spoiled. Already Lost has a good plot and characters keep on developing through the series. I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
When I started this I sighed at Laura's stubbornness about talking to Zach and/or Chris about what she saw in her vision. I think at least she should have talked to Zach.
But Laura and Nate's case while it started with the same boring routine, definitely ended on an exciting note.
So three more stories in the Laura Frost series and I expect I will read all three.
When young women are found dead with an unknown song from an unknown artist from a bygone era playing in the background, FBI Special Agent Laura Frost is in a race to find a killer.
Lots of drama and creepy music playing next to the killers victims. Once again Laura and Nate separate and she gets taken by the killer. Yet another mic drop revelation at the final moments. This time she sees Chris and Zack in her vision.
A good installment. I like how this one dealt with Laura's struggle with her gifts. The Zack and Chris drama was a bit much but the ending made up for it. Knowing know the series ends in 3 books, interested in seeing where this all goes.
Loved seeing Laura & Nate working as partners again. But now something seems to have happened with the visions she has always relied on for help. Things eventually work out with this new case but now there's a vision about Chris that Laura has to deal with. Good read!
