It is a technical analysis approach based on the study of supply and demand; that is, on the continuous interaction between buyers and sellers. The approach is When well-informed traders want to buy or sell, they carry out processes that leave their traces on the chart through price and volume. The Wyckoff Methodology tries to identify that professional intervention to try to elucidate who is most likely to be in control of the market and enable us to pose judicious scenarios of where the price is most likely to go.
Why should you study this methodology, and why this audiobook?
Unique theoretical conceptual framework
This approach is based on a real underlying logic through its three fundamental
Law of Supply and Demand Law of Cause and Effect Law of Effort and Result Price and volume analytical tools
We will understand that markets do not move in a straight line but in waves of varying degrees, which create trends and ranges.
It provides context and road map
Thanks to the accumulation and distribution schemes we will be able to identify the professional's participation as well as the general market sentiment up to the present moment, enabling us to pose truly objective scenarios. The events and phases are unique elements of the methodology and help us to guide the development of the structures.
It determines high probability trading zones
The methodology provides us with the exact zones on which we will act, as well as examples of triggers to enter the market, making it as easy as possible to know where to look for trades. In addition, the audiobook includes a section on position management where different configurations for setting stop losses and taking targets are discussed.
Every description of a bullish market is inversed 1:1 word for word when describing a bearish market, doubling the number of pages. The english is somewhat poor with numerous mistakes, which I tend to stumble upon. The book lacks clear direction and repeats several concepts with full similar descriptions in every instance instead of reminders. The final part of the book is very good though. First part should be shortened, and the abbreviations should be clearly described in a list.
Sorry to the author for this review, but I am being honest for the benefit of other would-be buyers.
Not a casual read by any standards.Treat it like a textbook which needs reading and rereading for a deeper understanding.Great book for anyone that wants to understand the basic lessons of Wyckoff.I learned a lot about sideway structures, price cycles, accumulation, distribution phases from this book which significantly improved my trading.I took a lot of notes and find myself referring back to them while reading stock charts
It was a very good treatment of how operators and specifically big operators navigate markets. Understanding this is essential to becoming a good trader. The trend is your friend, and the actions of movers of markets is a piece of understanding the trend. I was impressed with how professional operators constantly test their actions/behavior s before moving in a particular direction. In doing this work, it is critical.
This book really opened the door to better understanding the way the market structure works. It is definitely a compliment to what i have already learned about support and resistance but also this book moved my understanding to a whole new level. I recommend this bo9k to everyone
An excellent read that I feel needs going over a few times to fully appreciate everything this book has to offer. Ruben Villahermosa, the author, obviously knows this subject well and it shows. It should be noted that this is no light introduction by any means but does deal with the subject matter in great depth
Really enjoyed the book. Cut to the chase and straight to action with explaining the concept and the method without beating around the bush. As a beginner, this was beginner friendly and I was able to understand most of what he was talking about. Very good introduction for the method who ever interested
After reading the book, i still can't differentiate between (Accumulation/Redistribution) & (Distribution/Reaccumualation) phases . This is the corner stone of any trader to decide whether the market will continue or reverse .
