Christmas Magic

Rate this book
Sophie Fletcher's life has always been hard, but she soldiers on with a smile because she knows the Lord has good things planned for her. At least that's what she's always been told. However, when she enters a contest close to Christmas, Santa might be the one to do heaven's work. All she has to do is carve enough time out of her busy schedule to take a few ballroom dance classes. Spencer Ward is old Nashville money but that doesn't mean much when you're overworked and lonely. When his father asks Spencer to take over the philanthropic side of the family business, he believes things might finally be looking up. He should have known his mother had a hand in it with ulterior motives. She wants Spencer married and a refresher dance class is the perfect place to start. It may be love at first dance, but it's going to take a little Christmas magic to get Sophie to accept her own happily ever after.

I met the man I would marry when I was twelve years old. We went on our first date to my junior prom when we were sixteen. My hair was teased in true 90's style, stuffed with baby's breath, and my blue dress had the puffiest of sleeves. I felt like Cinderella on her way to the ball.

Our romance was a classic slow burn. Seriously, it took him two years to finally kiss me! But it was worth the wait. We were married at the age of twenty-two and have been chasing our happily ever after since then.

It wasn't all hearts and roses. We supported each other through college, four kids, multiple jobs and moves, and various emotional and health struggles. We've remained best friends through it all, which is why I believe in true love and happily ever afters.

The challenges and successes of finding and fighting to keep love are what I strive to bring to my stories. When I was growing up, everyone acted like finding your love was the end. After that, everything would be wonderful, but life isn't like that. Every day is a choice, and I strive to bring that reality to my romance stories.

Sophie is hard-working, going to school, taking care of her grandmother. She wins a contest, and part of the prize is mandatory ballroom dance lessons. Spencer is COO of his family's business, but is going to head their new non-profit. He needs a refresher in ballroom dancing for an upcoming event. They're both too busy for romance, but maybe, just maybe, they can make a little time... This is a sweet Christmas story with a little magic thrown in for good measure (love that Santa!!). Sophie and Spencer are just so cute together, and Big Momma is terrific!

This was a great story about a workaholic (Spencer) and a full time student that works and takes care of her grandmother (Sophie). Realizing that there is more to life then work, and a special Santa plays a special role in making it all happen. This is also a great story about someone that has money and think that they have it all only to realize that some of the most important things money cant buy.

This sweet story is so much like a Hallmark movie & I loved it!
Two people with no time for love as they lead very busy lives....one is a workaholic & the other is a nursing student who works and takes care of her grandmother and Santa who works his magic to bring them together.
Yup, Hallmark movie!
If you like clean & wholesome romances, you will love this book.

Sophie and Spencer are both overworked when a magical Santa sets them up with a week of dance. But she is stressed out about her grandmother with dementia, nursing school, and her job with a nasty boss. He thinks she got close to him for his family’s nursing scholarship. Their romance developed quickly and is fraught with misunderstandings.

I loved this book. I read the other two books that have intertwined characters and it was nice to see snippets of them in this book. I definitely could not put it down as I quickly got into the story and related to the characters fast. A great book and I would recommend reading the others in the series.

I liked the main characters, as well as some of the secondary ones.
The storyline was kinda predictable, but when we hit the hiccup it caught me off guard. Everything was sweet and nice and boom! A misunderstanding... and then pride. But, *SPOILER* loves wins in the end. :-)

What a delightful story! I really enjoyed this quick read. It made me laugh, it got me choked up, and it made me all warm and fuzzy inside. The author did a great job of making you feel all the emotions with Sophie and Spencer. I especially like the Santa 😊
