Already Taken (A Laura Frost FBI SUSPENSE THRILLER)

Laura Frost is on a new case with a new partner. She has been assigned a young lady named Bee Moore as her partner. Bee Moore grew up in a commune. So they are sent to a small town in Ohio where there's been a couple of gruesome murders. She and Bee eventually solve the mystery but not without the help of her visions and the help of others. Of course I like it that Laura Frost has a romantic interest, Chris Fallow, Amy's uncle and the little girl she saved from being killed by her father in an earlier book 📚📖 in this series. This was a good 👍🏾 read. It solved some of the questions that I had about her and Nate, and her and Chris Fallow the cardiologist. Waiting on the next book 📚📖.

Laura is again paired with a rookie and is sent to chase a killer who targets people in a small town and apparently with no connections. However, through her gift, Laura is able to learn what the link is and find the culprit. Nate seems to finally understand Laura's gift, but will he be able to work with her and be her partner again? Laura and Chris seem to be going well together, will the relationship progress? Hopefully, those answers will come in the next book, which I'll be looking forward to reading.

Another episode in the Laura Frost series. This one finally shows a resolution to her relationship with her ex-partner Nate. I appreciate that author Pierce finally got around to that. And the ending offered some interesting new developments.
I give this 3.5 stars, rounded down to 3.

I liked the farming ancestry part of this novel. Could have used more back story with it. Like also the development with Nate and Laura in this one. Another solid installment.

Laura Frost has been having visions of her partner, Nate, dying. He won't speak to her after she told him how she was able to solve so many cases. She saves his life and hopes maybe now he will agree to be her partner again. She gets called in to go out on a new case in Ohio and has a rookie assigned to her to solve this case. Things seem different this time. There are many surprises here. This book kept me turning pages until the end!
