Masquerade with the Master is the second book in the Master Me novella series. It can 100% be read as a standalone. Edward was talked about briefly in Snowed in with the Boss and Ivy works for Ten but not mentioned. There was a sneak peek of this book at the end of the first book so I was excited that we didn't have to wait long for it.
Six years. That is how long it's been since Edward walked away from the only person he has ever loved. She wasn't ready for him then but he is ready to prove to her that they belong together now. He has been watching over her for the last six years and he doesn't want to wait any longer to have her but if he has to, he will. That is how much he cares for her. But does she still want him? He is hoping tonight will be the night to show her the pleasure and love that she deserves. It's time to put a mask on and play...
One letter from him brings her butterflies. This is why she needs to keep her wall up. She will meet him at the Venus Ball but she will have ground rules set. She will live out her fantasy once more but only for one night. She can not fall for him again. And that brings her to one of her hard limits: no talking about the past. It will be easy for her to submit to him but it's a whole new level to talk to him about her feelings. Especially towards the only man that can truly bring her to her knees...
This is seriously one fucking hot book. It's not only hot but there is a wonderful story as well. I loved Edward and Ivy. They are sexy, inventive, and funny too. They didn't just spark but they were on fire with each other.
Overall...it was a fast read that was sinfully sexy!
P.S I will not look at statues the same way again.

Now this one was a nice surprise, a very good one in fact. Out of the three books, this was my favorite. It didn’t make the dom and submissive relationship uncomfortable for me to read. In fact, this did a great job in showing the more sensual, romantic side of it. It helped with the location too. I loved how the setting takes place in a castle with grassy knolls, statues, gardens and mythology being the driving force between showcasing passion and love. It was a motivation for Edward and his love for Ivy. This one really played into a fantasy world and I was definitely pleased. I felt like the story came together organically even though it was a second chance romance. To say this captured this trope differently than what I’ve read in the past is an understatement. While the main focus is Ivy and Edward rediscovering their love, connection and trying to get back to how things were before they ended their relationship, it felt like baby steps that ultimately wound up having them move on together but as the new people they are. It doesn’t focus much on what caused them to call it off, but does touch on it but I felt we got a little more with that than we did with the last book. Very enjoyable, sensual and emotional book with lots of spice and heat. It was a great way to end the series.

Another five star super amazing hot read from author Lili Valente. Masquerade i think by far is my favorite book in this series. I was so caught up in there world from the moment i read the first line in the description. "Leave the mask on princess, but everything else comes off. I'm ready to see what's mine." She wasn't ready for me then but she is ready for me now. How can you not want to read something so intriguing. Edward is a strong dominant alpha male who is also sexy, loving and kind. He had a history with Ivy who he gave up on back then. He always took care of her from behind the scenes making sure she had everything she needed. Ivy was to innocent back then but now is a irresistible sexy woman. She is now ready to play with Edward and he sends her a super hot letter and a box. Want to know more about this phenomenal story pick up your copy you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

The narrators of this book are what kept me going, they feel like they are into each other and desperate for each other. However, the love that they claim to feel for each other falls a bit short. There isn't much backstory about how they came to be in each others lives, so it's a bit hard to believe how she forgives him so easily, or how much she loves him because there are barely any facts, just bits and pieces mentioned here and there. If you are looking for a steamy listen sure but you definitely wont be staying because of the story.

I loved this short story couldn't put it down. For the past year Ivy Prescott was receiving money and gifts so she thought that they were from her brother Aaron helping her out, but when she received a letter from Edward Mulligan telling her that he was anonymous she became upset. Edward had left Ivy broken hearted after six month of dating with no explanation. Ivy accepted his invitation to attened a masquerade ball, but she will go in with some ground rules for him and for herself. Edward is hoping that she will forgive him, but Ivy can't forget the way he just left her and broke her heart.

I'm not totally satisfied with how Edward redeemed himself on this second chance. I think it's BS that he would first give up someone he really loves and 'let' her explore with other men and relationships before he claimed her for himself, and hurting her deeply in the process. I simply don't believe it.

Ivy and Edward have a pass, she has loved him since she was a teen. He was her first and he showed her a little of the BDSM but he knew she wasn't ready for him in that way so he let her go. BUT now he is back and ready to claim the only woman for him and Ivy is in every way possible. Will she forget the hurt he did to her and open herself up to see their love never died it just got stronger

I love every book I have read of Lili Valente's and this book is no exception. It was sexy and hot with a love that was so great between the two characters in this book. I just loved it !!! If you are a true romance reader you should definitely read this book. You won't be able to put it down.
