Hidden Magic #3

Death Magic: Hidden Magic, Book 3

Rate this book
For some there is power to be found in death.

Secrets have been unraveled, and I finally felt as though I really had my feet under me. My magic is out, but I have a strong pack at my back. Things with Ethan are going far better than I’d dared hope, and Matt’s really happy. Of course, these things could never last.

There’s one last family secret lurking in the darkness, and it’s rising along with half of the dead within the city walls.

Death magic is a little side business for witches, nothing to be too concerned about. Up until now. Someone has found a way to harness that death magic. Innocent people are dropping dead left, right, and centre. We need to find out who’s responsible before the entire city is lost.

The person behind it is the last person I’d ever expect. This is one fight I’m not sure I can win.

This is the final installment in Kit's story.

3*** the potential

The promise in these books looked to be fantastic, And I was excited to read them, the main character although annoying sometimes with all the description of this fantastic magic she has running through her veins seems pretty fickle maybe that’s not the correct word but she never seems to learn anything new maybe just one or two things but she’s always researching, the character development and relationship building wasn’t there really and the fight scenes description was over a lot of pages but then the final battle would be over in 2/3 I don’t really understand that, this war god who was taken over in the final scene in 5 pages I think it was hmmmm and a necromancer who was 84% magic was taken down again in a couple of pages they hate the fae boss etc etc then they go work for him there really was some plot holes and silly things happening not to mention the typos (I don’t normally care but there was a few that messed up the story) but in saying all that they do pull you in and you get hooked this is my option but give the series a try everyone is different happy reading folks

An enjoyable fantasy

This was the end of an enjoyable fantasy trilogy.
In this book, our heroine finally finds out more about what happened to her parents, and faces up to the more challenging opponent yet.
This series is an interesting alterniverse, in which the fae control certain Northern territories, and the creatures of myth and magic are real.
Although Kit starts out with rather humble beginnings, she makes the most of the opportunities that come her way, and finds a home for herself and her adopted brother.
If you like your urban fantasy more on the fantasy side of things, and if you enjoy it to be just a little fae-touched, you’ll probably enjoy this book!

Three Book Review

These aren’t bad. They are short 180 pages or less. But they pack a lot into a little bit. The problem is nothing is fleshed out or expanded upon in a way that makes you need to know and crave the story.

Essentially we are told everything, because there is little time for anything else. This didn’t make me appreciate the characters or anything because they never had time to grow and really show us who they were.

Like obviously it wasn’t bad I just wasn’t as invested as I could have been.

Absolutely phenomenal

What a great series. I had so much fun reading these books. So much excitement and danger. Not to mention the humor. Just when you think it is getting really serious the author throws in a zinger or ten. She has an amazing sense of humor and the series showcases not only that but her wonderful storytelling ability. A must read for anyone that loves magic and mayhem.

Just ok

I read all 3 books in the series. I thought the stories had potential to be great, but the author’s writing was all over the place. In all 3 books, it was hard to tell when one scene changed and the other began because she just kept on writing. There was just no transition. And I felt like the stories just weren’t developed enough, almost like she wrote these books as an afterthought or while writing another book.

Overall an interesting series and the final book wrapped up the overall story arc.
This book was a bit heavy on the gore, which I’m not a fan of. The characters enjoyed various grotesque ways of destroying zombies way too much. I also feel that the characters could have been made deeper and some of the choppy scenes could have been smoothed out quite a bit more.
This series was okay but needs to be revisited to have some scenes paired down in order to give the characters greater depth.

So good

Seriously this series just keeps getting better by the book. I have loved Kit and the pack since the first book and this was NO different other than I fell more in love with them. The way they are so fiercely protective of and loyal to each other was amazing. They do have one heck of a fight in this one and I really could not put down at all.

Is it ending?

So this is a great ending. It could be done or more books can be written in the future. I really enjoyed Kit's story and if course Ethan, Sin, Kerry, etc. Each individual had a distinct personality and was well built. All 3 books were action packed and fun to read. Highly recommend them!

Great paranormal

I really enjoyed the third book in the series. I can’t wait to read more about the pack and Kit and Ethan’s relationships as it develops. Also what will happen with Liam and is Ryn telling the truth about what he wants the. To do for him.

Fast paced, I enjoyed the series. Characters were engaging. Some of the wording was a little off. Will look in to more books by this author.

I like that it is different than the normal witches, wolves and campus trope. The story line is interesting and well thought out. I can't wait to read book number 4.

A nice clean wrap up. The pack has a major battle. A holiday is celebrated. People romance the same but foxes are having kits.
