The world might not be ready for Mother Earth's slightly murderous champion. Too bad because she's about to fertilize gardens the old-fashioned way, with the blood of her enemies.
A long-ago curse left Daphne trapped inside a tree for centuries. When she's finally freed, she's eager to resume her duty as Earth's paladin, the Mother's champion, a stave against all who commit evil. Baptiste committed an inexcusable act and the werewolf is adamant he doesn't deserve kindness or forgiveness. Daphne doesn't grant him either. The abrasive dryad won't let him wallow and insists he accompany her as she goes on a quest. A dangerous one.
Maybe he'll get the punishment he so rightly deserves so he can resist the intriguing Daphne. He'd rather deal with fleas than admit he cares for her.
When peril strikes, the wolfman will do anything to save her, even if it means his life.

Earth's Paladin
I loved the characters in this book. The had such strong personalities and beliefs. Daphne is Mother Earth's Paladin. She is not the usual gentle Dryad, but a strong fighting one who protects all living things. Baptiste is a lone wolf who shares his soul with the god Garou. When he is cursed and his Garou ends up killing his fiance he leaves the pack and starts to wander aimlessly while trying to avoid his uncle, the pack alpha. Their meeting and unlikely partnership will certainly have many obstacles and dangerous encounters waiting to stop them. This was a really awesome story and I enjoyed it very much.

Daphne has been in a seed in a old oak tree. She was put there by Mother Earth to heal from her injuries but someone broke the curse now she out to be mother Earth’s champion. Now she has been sent to stop a witch from poisoning the earth. But first she meet Baptistery he’s a hybrid werewolf but he is part god he is out living in the woods after doing something very bad but he didn’t have a chose he was cursed. But Daphne needs his help and once he is convinced he’ll help her and forge a bond. To battle the bad witch but others will work against them tell he becomes what he was made for. Enjoy another good read!!

Loved the whirlwindness of this story! It kept moving, and twisting, and circling back, only to veer off in another direction, before it all finally settled. Was so happy Baptiste got his story, and Daphne is perfect for him and his grumpy inner god. Lots of action, lots of wittiness, and lots of love (eventually) as these two forge a bond and defeat the evil 😊

It's about a Dryad turned champion who's been out of commission for a long time. Now she has to re-learn all about how the world works and how it's okay to accept help.

An enjoyable addition to the Earth’s Nexus series. Fun characters, spicy interactions, satisfying ending leading into the next in the series.
