We've been at war with them for our entire existence, yet completely blind to their machinations. Etheric parasites are secretly infecting the world's population, feeding off the cosmic light of our spirit forms that connect us to higher dimensions. Our ancestors warned us about these dark, manipulative beings, known as Nagas and Archons. An inter-dimensional porthole incident in ancient Ur saw Earth sprinkled with deposits of a black liquid crystal goo, which is Archon consciousness made manifest. This organic AI, incompatible with our carbon-based forms, psychically manipulates leaders and world governments to pursue a trans-human, mechanised agenda. Once man has integrated with technology, the Archons can physically invade our bodies and absorb us completely.
Through the cycles of time, our inter-dweller has been replaying history, guiding us to make the right choices to free ourselves. And yet we are all still here, playing out our roles of the innocent, the lover, the healer, the warrior, the seeker, the destroyer, the ruler, the sage, the creator, the orphan, the magician and the fool.

Loved the premise, but it was hard to get into to start. All the parts were so different it was hard to see connections. I listened on audiobook. I found the narrators voice hard to understand in parts, sometimes very soft and others loud. I wasn't always sure who was speaking. I feel this book may have been easier to follow if I'd had read it.
I wanted to love this book. Sadly, I could only (barely) like this book. That sounds strange considering I’m giving 3 stars - I’m fully aware.
The way the story is woven is impressive, the tale is almost captivating, the characters have so much to offer. Ultimately however, this is the downfall. There are too many characters, timelines and separate narratives being told concurrently that I found it incredibly hard to keep track of and invested in. Having said that, perhaps my view would be different if I’d read this as a physical book, rather than listened to the audiobook.
I’d definitely read this again as a physical version, and I’m certain that in doing that, my rating would be higher.
Another beautifully woven tale by Traci Harding! It’s a page turner. Each chapter gives you a little bit more than the last, with the threads slowly coming together to form the bigger picture. All wins in the end.
Traci has once again folded time and taken us, the readers, through history and future to capture valuable lessons wrapped in a fantasy tale. I drew the sobering thought that the alternate realities presented are only a slight sidestep to our current course trajectory. There are eerily close resemblances to where humanity could go if we succumb to the uprising of AI without first looking at underlying agendas. The 12 chapters of the infinite night leaves no doubt that even the righteous can be with flaws and the wicked can be misunderstood. As is stated “In the battle of good versus evil, the war is not over until everybody wins”. The win in this tale is a balanced humbling victory and not common to what is traditionally experienced in the fiction world. There is the potential to walk away with an altered perspective of what we call reality or, at the very least, a questioning of personal perspectives. This story is quite different from Traci’s other stand-alone books however her author’s voice is very much present and there to guide the reader to new vistas.
I tried to get into this story, however, it just did not click. It can be that this is just not the right time for me to engage with this book, or then this book is simply not for me.
I struggled to keep interest with the story unfolding and connect with the narrating characters. It all felt very academic and very 'spiritually educational', the first person narrative adding further limitation to the unfolding story.
I also felt that the narration was overly emotional where it should not have been at all, but again, this is down to personal taste.
Only gave it two stars because I finished it. The plot was complex and the narrator in the audio book was hard to understand. Also everything he said sounded like an exclamation so that during moments of intense emotion he made the characters seem to be shrieking. There was so much intangible theory going on that it was hard to follow at times. I ploughed on in the hope that it would all be worth it in the end but it was just a relief to be over.
Disappointing as I was excited to read a book by a Western Australian author and so many others seemed to like it.
Captivating from the first page! Harding takes her readers on an internal journey of as-it-isness, through the eyes of twelve pivotal characters, who are inter-dimensionally connected through time and lived experiences. This cleverly crafted tale reflects the talent and sight of a skilful sage. Once again, Traci Harding delivers an epic tale that inspires her readers to look within.
Really great story. Love how each chapter is from a different person's point of view, i almost wish there was more time spent with each of them, as their stories are so amazing. Traci is so good at creating worlds throughout time and space, and allowing effortlessly, these stories to intertwine and come out with a great ending that should make us question our own paths and understanding.
