This interracial romance book features a billionaire with a beautiful black woman.
Nash and Emery knew each other from when they were kids. But they hadn't seen each other in years. Until the day Nash walked into the company where Emery worked to take it over. When they saw each other, there was an immediate attraction. While dealing with corporate hackers and handling deals, Emery and Nash try to navigate their growing feelings for each other. Can they keep their hands and their feelings to themselves, or will they give in to temptation?
This book was a fun read. I enjoyed how Nash and Emery fought against their cravings for each other until they couldn't. It was sexy, sweet, and beautiful all at the same time. And the epilogue was awesome!! This author never disappoints. I would highly recommend this book. It's a fun, fast-paced read. You won't be disappointed.
I liked this story. There was mystery and deep attraction. There were several times this story seemed repetitive in descriptions of conflict. Still a good quick read. It is an office romance that does cross that line society draws due to power dynamics. Not once did it come across as a power play. Two people who work together and find a deep connection after personal heartache.
It has “good bones” but it seems rushed.. it needs proper editing.. some lines were repeated.. her manager told her Declan wanted her on the case, but not only did she introduce her to him using the wrong last name, she did it in a way that let the readers know that wasn’t case.. there were couple of times when I had to go back few pages, thinking I missed something but no the scene wasn’t ended properly.. please fix and rerelease
Continuation between chapters lacking. At the end of one chapter, he walks down the hall to the woman's office, and the next scene, he is sipping whiskey in his office. Five plots are happening in one story. There is too much going on in this book without cohesion. Lack of character development. Boring love scenes.
Declan could have been an excellent read. It started off pretty good but then I couldn't quite follow the situations. How could his exwife get ,ore money and his divorce was finalized. Why did he feel guilty about his prior marriage🤷🏾♀️. It was quite a lot of sex. It distracted the reader from the plot/storyline. Finally the story didn't flow well.
The writing was like groundhog Day with the regurgitating of word and plots left behind. This one of the series must've gone without proofreading too. Very disappointed with this one!
I couldn't even finish this book. From the name swap in the beginning there were too many inconsistencies. With this series, I came to accept the rushed nature but this one was just too much. Moreover, the repetition of the same adjectives were just amateurish.
This started out as a good story with relatable characters But there were breaks in the storyline and names misspelled and misplaced There were loose ends that did not allow for the story to flow It needed to be edited before publishing
I loved everything about this book. The characters and storyline were awesome. I would definitely recommend this book to friends and family. I gave this book 5 stars because it kept my interest and was well written.
This had no flow. The author was jumping all over the place. The main female character’s last named changed from Jamison to Jackson. It was just a horrible read.
This story seems rushed, there's so much going on and it left me with too much unanswered stuff. The characters are likeable but there just isn't enough foundation to fill in the blanks.
There's no indication that this is an interracial romance except in the title of the book and at the end of the blurb. Nash Prescott is the ruthless billionaire CEO owner. Emery Thompson is a business analyst at his company. He was described as handsome with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. No description of her is given. They knew each other as kids but hadn't seen each other in years.
There's a lot of things that makes no sense. Even though Emery has worked at the company for years, it seems as if she didn't know about him until he walked in one day and saw her. He knew who she was. The book was full of confusion, mistakes and repeated scenes.
Naturally, they were drawn to each other but she fought against it. She didn't trust him because of his past unethical business practices. How did she know? As usual, she gave in an for they fell in love. After a huge disagreement about his actions when it was discovered that he was about to lose an important account, he realized his actions were causing him to lose Emery. He apologized with a surprise, elaborate dinner. She forgave him. They promised to do better, especially Nash.
The book swiftly ended followed by an Epilogue that showed their HEA five years later.
