Better and better

This series just keeps getting better and better. I'm sure its building up to a crescendo at some point, but for the time being the author keeps building up to a boiling point, again and again, and then lowering the pressure. With the skill of a master, she is engaged in a sort of literary edging which leaves me at the end of each book close to foaming at the mouth, and waiting for the next installment. Which is exactly the where I'm going to end this review. If you haven't read the first two books, please do so before reading this one. I think you're going to want to savor the whole erotic and romantic experience.

This series continues to develop the characters well, add more steam, more (mild) kink and BDSM elements. Very mild that is.

It just keeps getting better. I'm gushing, I know, but I really want Alexa to succeed with this series it's amazing. I must have more! :)

I read books one and two yesterday and finished book three this morning when I woke up early. I should have gone back to sleep. I could have gone back to sleep. I so did NOT want to, when I foggily remembered I had more of this to read.

Hot roleplayers? Oh, my. *shivers*

It's possible I'm a little deprived because I don't have a regular roleplaying group at the moment, but those elements really draw me to the series as well. I'm ecstatic that the steamy scenes are included, but if this were a fade to black romance about roleplaying geeks, I would still read it (and try and persuade Alexa to add in the delightful filth that I love so much of course).

I'm utterly envious of this idea and the writing style. I only hope my erotica and romance is one day as exciting as this :D

This is the third instalment in the Level Up series and I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying it so far. But, in case, you haven’t seen my previous reviews, these books are not standalones so it is definitely worth starting at the beginning if you haven’t already started this series.

Dillon’s sexual awakening is now happening at full speed, with more young ladies throwing themselves at him than I can reliably keep track of. But this doesn’t stop him from getting close to Suzie as well when she turns up at his door ready to seduce him. It is fun to read about Dillon’s antics. Besides his feelings for Suzie, there isn’t a whole lot of emotional angst in this series, which gives it a light-hearted and fun feel. The reader is able to enjoy all of Dillon’s adventures without being taken on an emotional rollercoaster.

There is still the gaming theme happening in the background to give Dillon an occasional break in the bedroom, as well as a plotline involving a bully who seems to have it in for Dillon which seems to be increasing in pace. So this series isn’t ALL smut, but there sure is a lot of that too!

I am definitely looking forward to reading more about Dillon’s love life in the remaining books in the series. I’m excited to find out if Suzie is able to overcome her demons and enter into a relationship with Dillon, and whether Dillon is able to settle down with just one girl. Overall, this is a fun and sexy series which I am starting to find slightly addictive!

This book describes in explicit details all kinds of sexual escapades among college students in a campus setting. Beyond the sexual conquests taking place between the main character and a bevy of female co-eds, there are underlying messages. In the mix of sleeping with a number of women, one encounter stands out and causes him to reassess his pattern of having sex just to have sex, whether he sought it or it was thrust upon him. He became strangely attracted to her. There were also moments where he became concerned with the consequences of random sex--an unwanted pregnancy or some STD. Beyond the erotica, there are lessons to be learned.

This series continues to... Level up in terms of quality and sexiness. Alexa really explores hey characters and continues to make Dillon's life complicated in the most delicious ways. I have a lot of theories about what book four holds but I'm prepared to be surprised. My favorite scene was the night at the Opera, but every part of this story is a delight. Please run out and get this!!

Game On

As Dillon spins from one hot encounter to the next, his confidence soars, and his love life becomes more complicated than the game he’s designed. The characters feel like real people, likable, sweet funny and sexy. The carnal scenes are searing hot, and the twists and turns will keep any reader on their toes.

Pretty good

This installment of the book was pretty good. However, chapter 2 was a repeat of chapter 1 and left out some pretty important plot elements and descriptions. That was very disappointing. Otherwise, it is a fun read. I'm surprised that Alexa hasn't fixed it. Surely, there is a way to do that.

It started in the second book, but this one seemed to be more about the sex (with more new girls) than the story. Plus, as Dillon's harem keeps getting larger, it's hard to remember who is who. Still, it's good enough to continue the series.

Level three

No disappointment from this book the doorstep were excellent and this somehow managed to top them. The tales are so well written with no wasted words that before you know where you are you need a new book and how long is it til level four?

Like Where This is Heading

Alexa Simmers mini novels have me hooked on Dillon and his escapades in a college campus. I really didn't expect this series to be as engaging as it is. These characters actually pop off the pages like living breathing people we know. Great writing.

I have enjoyed Alexa’s series so far. Spicy, game playing, humour, well written. What’s not to love?
