Sassy quality assurance specialist, Megan Rhodes, has never been at a loss for words, but Jase’s sudden attention has her tongue tied. His brother broke her heart and there’s no way she’s getting involved with Jace, even if she is wildly attracted to him.
Will these two neighbors steam up the sheets or will old feelings tear them apart.
Q Malone’s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she borrowed from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Q was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since.
Waiting for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Q works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.
Q Malone also writes Sexy Contemporary Romances and thrilling Superhero Romances as Nana Malone. www.nanamalone.com
This was a super quick erotic novella (on audiobook) that I needed to meet the 'Q' and 'O' requirements for a couple of my alphabet reading challenges.
It had some cute moments (along with some explicit ones), but the expressions of love between this couple felt way too fast.
Yes, they'd known each other for a couple years, but it still felt like the words were exchanged just to wrap the story up. It gave the expected conclusion rather than one that felt natural to me.
It would have been a stronger story without those declarations or with more focus on the relationship’s development (beyond the strong attraction factor) before going there.
If I’m completely honest, I probably won’t remember much about this one in future. It will likely blend and blur with many other reads that I’ve forgotten over the years because there wasn’t anything strong enough to make it stand out for me.
That being said, the author writes well and I’ll probably try a novel of hers someday.
