The Prince of the Blood Chronicles is a series which tells a story that spans more than two hundred years. It is the memoir of the life and untimely mortal death of Hollywood’s most beloved screen star, and how he was brutally cast from a world of privilege into a dark sub-life, where he finds himself transformed into a demon of unspeakable horror. Unable to tolerate the monster that defined him, he found a way to control his insatiable lust for blood when he uncovered a remarkable secret. He tells how he began a mission of great proportion, unaware that he was being watched and scrutinized for his efforts, and how his great undertaking eventually made him one of the most important and influential beings in the world.
I really liked this book, it had so much information in the story. I felt that I knew all the characters and the places they visited. The main character Sebastian was a kind man who had been thrown into a horrible situation by no fault of his own. He spent his time seeking revenge and making a life that he was happy to lead. I will look forward to downloading the next book in the series. I loved the language used in the book and thought it was appropriate for the time it had been set in, and the cheeky sentences written to the reader, a unique touch from the author.
Sebastian Du Sang, or Sebastian Blood as he is also known, left his home to pursue his passion of music. He never would have imagined his fate would have been sealed on that day. On the train he met a young woman by the name of Leanna, and his life was fated never to be the same again. Leanna sought more from him than he was willing to give, and so she took everything, his love, his life, his soul. Sebastian seeks revenge, vowing to ensure all like her reap their just desserts. He will give them cause to fear, because while Leanna has her secrets, he has some of his own.
Prince of the Blood is certainly a well researched, unique and, captivating read. It reminds me in some ways of Interview with a Vampire. This book has many merits and there has clearly been a lot of thought put into it in order to create an interesting origin story and individual plot. This is certainly not your run of the mill paranormal vampire novel and fans of the genre will not be disappointed. P.J. Webb creates an array of memorable characters, gripping scenes, and wonderful portray of the cities and time being described.
I loved this book and this Vampire. Starts off in New Orleans where Sebastion was born. His parents are French and he grows up speaking French and English and his love of playing the piano begins. When a young adult he travels to New York but along the way meets a woman, Leeanne; a fateful meeting. Once in New York he meets the love of his life, Malahti. They marry, are very happy and he becomes a movie star. Not sure if talkies were yet around, but he becomes famous. The one day it all changes. I'm not divulging what happens, but Sebastion is turned into a Vampire. He's already devastated emotionally, but decides he will not be a blood sucker, killing people for their blood. The rest of the book details all of this. And it is a wonderful story. I highly recommend this book.
Unlike any vampire tale I've ever read, PJ Webb has made Sebastian Blood's Transformation a tale of overcoming the dreadful predicament he has found himself in and then, through willful effort, using his new abilities to overpower his own kind. This story is one that captures the imagination and forces the reader to turn each page. If you enjoyed Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire, you'll love Prince of Blood - Transformation !
Only took me a week to read this. Sebastian Blood is a character who is easy to like and fun to read about. This book is not frightening so much as interesting. It was a great read. I look forward to the next book!!
Prince of the Blood-Transformation is an excellent vampire story. So many books these days about vampires follow the tired plot of ancient-vampire-loves-teenage-girl that I stopped reading them for a while. But the intriguing cover of P.J. Webb's book continued to draw my attention until I finally gave in. And I'm so glad I did! Sebastian Du Sang (Sebastian Blood) is such an interesting character, both as a mortal and later as a vampire. The story follows his love and devastating loss of his beloved wife, Malahti, and his subsequent all-consuming need for revenge against the monster who killed her. The book follows Sebastian from LA to Charleston to New Orleans and finally on to Paris, as he searches to eradicate the vampire covens. During this time he meets another reluctant vampire, Jillian, who joins him in his quest. As we meet each new, "evil" vampire, we begin to wonder how these vampires who must be eradicated are any different than Sebastian and Jillian themselves, setting up an interesting moral dilemma in the mind of the reader. I'm so ready to read book 2 in the series to find out what happens to the pair in Paris!

Prince of the Blood – Transformation by P.J. Webb is a very well-written story with a unique take on vampire life. It starts with the vivid sights, sounds, and scents of New Orleans in 1900. Sebastian Blood is a handsome young pianist with reasonable talent and unreasonable charisma. He marries Malahti, the love of his life, and becomes a famous movie star. Life is perfect. How does it change, and when? How does he adapt to horrendous loss and a shattering transformation no one could expect?

Ms. Webb’s debut novel Part One Prince of the Blood Transformation is such a great novel. She weaves a story that leaves you unable to put it down from the start.
The descriptiveness of the time period is done so well you can visualize yourself there. Ms. Webb makes you feel the betrayal and rage Sebastian has for what has been lost.
I don't normally read this genre too much but I have to say I quite enjoyed this novel. The descriptions were great and the story flowed nicely, and the main character, Sebastian, was likeable. P.J. Webb's writing style is easy to read which added to the enjoyment of the book. I'll definitely be giving the sequel a read.
I love the intensity of this book. The vampire was hot and I couldn't put it down. PJ Webb Spends an amazing web that sucks you in it will not let you go, and when the book is finished you hope she can write faster so that you will Be able to go back and obtain that feeling again.
