5-Heart throbbing stars!!

Over Exposed is about a woman, Natalie Simmons, who is trying to climb the corporate ladder, in a tough male environment, working long hours and trying to impress her boss, who just happens to be her father. Talk about a double whammy. It's hard enough for a woman to fight her way through a pool of men, but add in the fact your boss is your father, yikes! I felt for Natalie and could relate so well to what she was going through. Then out of nowhere as she's trying to make it to an important meeting, she's hijacked and not by a thug, but a hot, drool-worthy movie star--a naked one to boot.

Sam Danmore is an alpha male with dark hair, dark eyes and a personality I fell in love with. At first he comes off as a typical, cocky movie star or as the media refers to him, Sam Man-whore. But Sam's personality was far from being a man-whore. He has a boyish personality, but oh, my! When the steamy scenes heat up he becomes a panty-dropping, alpha male that will make you squirm as you read. If that wasn't enough for me to love Sam, I fell even deeper in love with him when he said to Nat, "The confidence it takes to own that in the right context can make you a very powerful woman." What a great line.

The story will make you laugh, squeeze your thighs and realize as a woman you can do anything. You can't let your past define you, and you sure as hell, can't let your parents own you. Julie Jaret has a way of taking words and weaving them into a motivational theme with a sprinkle of hot men, sexy scenes and great writing.

I recommend you one-click this book You will not be disappointed. She also has another book that you'll love, Extreme Close-up.

Oh wow, for a fast hot I mean beyond Salsa Hot read, this has it, and yes I think I would have told my mother please do not read this..I was in a constant state of after glow bliss while reading this book.
For those not in the circle of Julie Jaret's writing abilities you would be missing out greatly.
This Book as well as her others offer it all.. detail, in all aspects of her writing from every possible sense smell, sound, touch, sight & taste...and wraps you along, I think the more I read of Julie's work the more I am amazed. She simply does not "just" write a hot erotic book she puts you there with all the steamy possibilities.
And the most wonderful part of all; Of Over-exposed and her others are that they are intelligent, the sex is hot and sensual but also her writing has substance.
Another awesome job Julie Jaret!!

Summary:

She’s all work.

Fifteen years ago, Natalie Simmons reinvented herself with a single goal: to earn her father’s respect. The frivolous, attention-seeking college girl is now a workaholic lawyer on partnership track.
That is, until Sam Danmore shows up.

He’s all play.

He’s gorgeous, famous, arrogant as ever, and can still drench her panties with a look and a grin -- a fact which only reinforces how much she hates him. And wants him.

When an obsessed fan forces Sam into hiding, Natalie has to help him or risk getting caught up in the media frenzy, herself. But her unwanted, yet deepening attraction to him threatens the new life she has built... because Sam has spent the last fifteen years living up to his reputation, and Natalie is still trying to live hers down.

My Thoughts:
Natalie is a serious woman with a high powered law career. What I loved about Nat, is the fact that she was relatable. Nat has a past, or baggage, and it was a wild, crazy, WOW-type of past. LOL. There is always a message when you read a story about a woman who knows how to get what she wants. Here, the message is clear that sometimes, you need to live for you, and not worry about what others say or how they might judge you. This story, starts that way, but thanks to an infamous Hollywood actor, Sam Danmore, Natalie has to force herself to confront things and choose the life she deserves.

Sam Danmore is a typical Hollywood bad boy, or so we think. Sam is an alpha personality, with a softer side. He is on the run, and manages to slam right into Natalie, giving him the chance to allow someone to get to know who he really is. The rag-mags, paparazzi, Hollywood news sites…they are wrong about him and Sam wants to prove to them all that he has grown up. He wants to show Natalie, there isn’t anything about him to hate anymore.

Overall:
This story shows the reader that, sometimes the path we choose to take, isn’t always the one we are destined for, despite what our pasts may try to dictate. Sam and Nat find that out as they learn about life and love, together.

Julie has shown throughout this new installment that she is a master at dialogue. Over-Exposed also shows Julie’s growth as a writer. More details, descriptions, and creative sex scenes all contribute to the wider range of writing that she can deliver. I may be biased as her PA, but I believe in her and her stories. I look forward to all her future works. Sam, will always hold a special place in my heart.

"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are."

This story follows Workaholic Natalie Simmons, who has lost her way in life... Fighting to fit herself neatly into a "respectable, professional role in life" rather than following her passions, and Sam Danmore, a hot, arrogant, self-centered actor, who has become trapped portraying an image, rather than being himself. Both living lies.

This is the second book I've read by author Julie Jaret, the first being Extreme Close-Up... Let's just say, she didn't disappoint! "Borrowing" Natalie's words, as soon as I started I knew...

"Ah, fuck. It was going to be a long night."

But, in a pleasurable way... I mean ~ hot, naked actor hijacks your car within the first two chapters... Uhmmm, "shee-it"...

The story flows. Julie Jaret has a way with words, so that dialogue rolls effortlessly off of the character's tongues... Hmm maybe I should've rephrased that, because now my mind is on his tongue &...

"She wanted to trace his perfectly sculpted mouth with her tongue. There were so many perfectly sculpted parts of him she wanted to trace with her tongue. Fuck."

Let's face it, the story is HOT! "Orgasmic meditation" wtf?... Mr google came in handy there lol! and if Sam is assisting, sign me the hell up!... Gym? Yep! Restaurant? Oh, go on then!

Julie Jaret's trademark humour didn't disappoint either "electric clit", "magic peen" *sniggers*... I fully admit to loving dark, angst-ridden reads, but sometimes you need a book that is going to make you cross your legs, lust after the MC and have a giggle!

Lust and laughs aside though, the story does have a message, should you do what's deemed as "proper" and "the right path" even when you have your own obstacles like Natalie's father and her work rival Jeff... Both whom at some point, I wanted to borrow Natalie's kickboxing skills and deliver swift "roundhouse kick(s) to the skull"... Or alternatively knee them in the balls...if I could find them that is ;) ... Or should you "become who you truly are"? I know which path I'd choose! I'm not saying which path they chose. That's up to you to read the book *winks*

Over-Exposed tells the story of a supposed man-whore actor and a supposed attention-whore lawyer. This was a sweet story that I just couldn't put down until I finished. I enjoyed how both characters grew in this story and how their chemistry was palpable from each page I read.

This was a refreshing read. No drama. Just good old-fashioned love and sex....can't forget the sex, which wasn't old-fashioned at all!! Julie writes some steamy scenes in this installment of the Perspectives series that had me pressing my thighs together!

Jules writes likable characters and I enjoyed getting to know Sam and Nat. I can't wait to meet who she introduces to us next!

Over-Exposed is the second book in Julie Jaret's Perspective series and the second novel of hers that I have read. Can I just say how much I love Ms. Jaret? Her stories have a real-life feel to them, even when the situation most likely wouldn't happen to an ordinary Jane. For example, hot celebrity jumps into the back of your car and demands you take him home. Not likely to happen. Did I mention he's naked? Even less likely to happen. But, when Julie writes it, you suspend all disbelief. I was so pulled into Natalie and Sam's story that I wanted MORE. But, I'll get to that in a sec.

Natalie Simmons has worked for a partnership in her father's law firm for the past ten years. TEN. She's competing for the position against Jeff, a mistake from her past. Actually, a few mistakes from her past come to light, and we realize that stuffy lawyer Natalie truly is not. She's got a bit of a wild side that she keeps hidden.

Sam Danmore is a gorgeous, a-list, man-whore celebrity…or is he? When he jumps into the back of Natalie's car to get away from more bad press, flirting and innuendo ensue. However, as we get to know Sam and our couple gets to know one another, we learn things aren't always as they seem.

You won't find any spoilers in my review because that's not fun. But, I will say that Over-Exposed is a quick, light, HAWT read that won't disappoint. Thank you, Julie, for leaving out a ton of angst! Sometimes, as a reader, you don't need a ton of what-ifs, will they, or won't they's. You just need the story. I also enjoyed, just like in the first book in this series, that the female lead grows and learns to embrace who she is and what she wants. (Side-non-spoilery-note: I was cheering for Sam at the end! This is after I wanted to throat-punch Natalie's dad.)

All that said, if I could wish for anything, it would be more back story on the lead characters. I know them, but I feel like I could know them better. Especially Sam. I would love to know more about where he comes from and his family. I'd like to know more about his interests outside of acting. Same with Natalie. What else does she enjoy? Besides Sam, of course ;)

I don't know how many books the author has planned for her Perspectives series, but I hope it's several. I'm intrigued to know who the next one will focus on, since Natalie made an appearance in Extreme Close-Up. Hmmm…can I vote for Evan and Kevin?? I can't wait to find out!

what can I say Julie Jaret writes stories that make you believe what you are reading ... Natalie a hard working woman trying to become partner in her dads firm. She gets abducted by the gorgeous naked Sam Danmore. Sam is a crush from Natalie's past her growing up years ... she has reasons of her own to hate him. Can she see through the celebrity Sam and meet the real Sam? Will she still hate him? follow there journey and see.

description

What I Loved: Well I don’t even know where to begin because I loved every part of this story!!! First of all I cannot get enough of the chemistry between Nat and Sam. From the very moment they lay eyes on each other it is sizzling! I couldn’t wait for them to get naked and get down to business!

I love the fact that Nat is a very strong, independent woman who has her shit together. Nat is the definition of what a female lead should be like, I’m so over female leads being frail and shy. I love women who can kick butt, provide for themselves, and know what they have to offer. Natalie fits into all of these categories and then some. Then of course is the amazing and sexy Sam Danmore, he seriously is hot!!!! When they finally accept the fact that they want each other is amazing, the sex scenes between these two was amazing and I couldn’t get enough of them. What woman hasn’t had a fantasy of her Hollywood crush falling in love with her and living happily ever after (mine is Alexander Skarsgard), this book is like watching that fantasy come true!

Not So Much: I absolutely loved this book and there is very little that I didn’t like. I guess my only little complaint is that this is such a short book, that I wish Nat and Sam kind of got to the point where they finally indulge in their attraction to each other happened a little earlier. I don’t think things really started to get hot and heavy until I was about half way through the story. Other than that, I really loved this story.

This is Julie Jarets Second book in this Series. We met Natalie in the first book Extreme Close-up which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Natalie is a fun loving person, a lawyer who is trying to become a partner in her fathers law firm. She has been fighting for this position for years but her father is not co-operating. This story is also about how maybe life does not turn out how you plan but maybe how it should be.

Natalie meets a very demanding Hollywood bad boy Sam as he tries to escape the media he jumps in to the back of Natalies car. You can imagine her surprise when this happens. Now you get to learn is Sam really a bad boy. What his story is and what is Natalie's story. It is yet another great read with fun characters. I really enjoy how Julie writes her characters and how you get to know each of them. I also like how Lisa from the first book makes an appearance in this second book and being Natalie's best friend its perfect she is there.

Yes I could go on more but I do not want to spoil yet another great great from Julie. We met new characters in this second book so I do hope this series continues and we get more of all their stories. Make sure you read Extreme Close-Up first so that you can get all the fabulous details and how it all began.

I was gifted this book for an honest review.

5 HOT STARS for this book!!! Another hit for Julie!
I absolutely loved this story that had me sweating from the hotness!!

This is the second book in the Perspectives Series for Julie. I enjoyed this book as much as the first and can't wait for more in this series.

The characters are well written and the story leaves you wanting more!
I love the female characters in Julie's books because she makes them strong and independent women.

The lead female character Natalie grows into an even stronger woman as the story progresses by facing her fears. Julie has you embracing Natalie as any woman can relate to her at some point in the story.

Sam is dreamy, yummy and so damn HOT!! What more can I say!! A great alpha male character that cracks open Natalie's shell!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and it is a must read if you are looking for something hot and spicy!

One Click this now and take a look!
Thanks again Julie, can't wait for your next book!!

I was given an ARC for an honest review.

This was a wonderful, short story about a girl's childhood movie hero actually showing up nearly naked in her car as he attempts to run away from a movie set and a fan's accusation of him coming on to her. The actor's rep as a man-whore has followed him around for years. In fact, he was a jerk to our girl back in college when she attempted to get his autograph on a poster she had made. So, she believes he is the man-whore he is portrayed as and she long ago burned (almost) all of her memorabilia of him.

Turns out, when she really gets to know him, he's really a nice guy and things get a little complicated. The steam in this little novel is HOT. A side story of this girl being an attorney, working unbelievable hours in her father's law firm so she can make partner was a useful tool to have her very conflicted as to what path she was going to now take after meeting her dream man in person.

I enjoyed this one a lot.

Over-Exposed is hot and raunchy, and by the end of the book you will be saying I want what Natalie has. You will fall in love with Sam and how he manages to get Natalie. Right from the first chapter you can feel the sexual tension between the two of them and when they finally gave into to one another you will sigh and say "thank you Lord."

Julie Jaret knows how to write about sex and how to expose a characters weakness. You will secretly hope that they give into to each other because you know they are meant to be together.

I love Julie's book because they are exciting and the story lines are interesting.

So if you like hot movie star, a sassy lawyer who is striving for a partnership for years, lots of sexual chemistry, well girls this book is for you.

I gave it 5 stars. Is is one of Julia Jaret's best books.

Well I loved book one and this was even better.
this book was hot steamy and oh so good. i do believe that Julie Jarret
has one hell of a series on her hands. I can not wait to see more from her.
I loved the story line of this book Nat worked so hard to impress her Dad,
but never measured up to his expectations. But when Sam carjacks Nat this change.
Then just like her favorite quote says, that just so happens to be tattooed on Sam.
(The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are)
it is a very profound statement, and true. But will Nat be able to become
who she truly is? Or continue to try and impress her Dad.

Julie Jaret's book are quick to read because you stayed glued to them. You want to keep going and not put it down. I liked this book a lot...I can't tell you how many times a hot actor jumped in my car...naked...NOT! There were times were I did find myself 'flustered' maybe the ex-boyfriend/father thing had me slightly befuddled. But that's me, I get that way when I deem parts where I can't get excited. Over-all, great book, I really liked it and I would recommend this book to my friends or others. I love Julie Jaret's writing. And plan to read every book of hers. Bravo!!! Thumbs up.

I absolutely loved the second installment in the Perspectives series!!! Hard working no nonsense Natlie tries to climb the corporate ladder the old fashioned way, through hard work and dedication as she tries to prove she can overcome events in her past which could threaten her future.....Until she meets the world famous, and swoon worthy actor Sam Danmore. A series of rather interesting events lead to some sheet scorching encounters between them. Can they handle being Over Exposed?? There's only one way to find out....

I loved it! Such a wonderful, exciting, quick read and fantastic story. I couldn’t put it down!!!

Natalie is all business. She’s an attorney who isn’t as stuffy as she portrays or as she is deep down. She likes to have fun and get wild and…..have sex - OMG! However, she’s an attorney and therefore is expected to behave like the stuffed up suits. Add to the stigma of being a lawyer, she is on the partner track for her father’s law firm. She has be be on her game constantly. She had one reckless, youthful indiscretion, that her father has turned into his reason for being extremely hard on Natalie. Its not fair but there’s not much she can do about it. She also has an x of sorts that she not only works with but he’s also fighting for that same partner position. He also taped their sex and is using it as blackmail to take her partnership from her. He is threatening to show her father if she doesn’t back off. She is racing to get to work one morning when someone jumps into the backseat of her car with a gun!! He’s naked, doesn’t really have a gun and is seriously famous!

Sam is shooting a film on the same street that Natalie works. He’s been caught in a compromising position with an underage girl and it’s hit the news. He needs to hide and hide fast. Natalie ends up doing as he ask and brings him back to her apartment. She’s pissed. She isn’t a fan of Sam’s - they have a history of sorts. He doesn’t remember and after she explains what happened to make her not care for him and assume awful things about him he begins to drop the hollywood attitude. She can see a difference and she can see the man he really is.

All sorts of things come about…..dinner, movie, job, travel….I’m not telling anything more but I will say this is action packed and wonderful.

It’s Sam that ends up outing them to her father. Will Sam continue to be the man Natalie hopes he is? Will Natalie’s father continue to be the overbearing and difficult ass? What about Natalie? Is she prepared to do whatever it takes to keep her man?

Again, I loved this book and this series. It’s a series in that the books are similar but I completely think it could be considered stand alone. Natalie is Lisa’s BFF from the first book and other than a phone call or two that the only cross over.

This book is HOT!!! But it’s sweet and genuine and romantic. It’s got so much heart and it’s quite funny at times. I really enjoyed it!!

Highly Recommend!!!!

This author really knows how to write a dam good sex scene, I loved reading all about Natalie and Sam.
Natalie is a lawyer, she has wanted to be a partner in her Dad's law firm for almost 4 years, well she thought that is what she wanted, she has worked her ass off, long days, even longer nights, just to receive her Dad's approval, shame he's a stuffy asshole, cause his daughter rocks.
So Natalie likes a little kink, I am not saying what but it is hot, she pretty much looks after herself in every department of her life, Natalie is very pretty and in good shape, does kick boxing to stay in shape, her trainer is a hottie but already taken by another hottie (interesting).
Natalie is not really living her life, all she can think about is pleasing her Dad so he makes her a partner in his law firm. One day on her way to work, she gets stuck in traffic close to the office, she remembers the movie that is being shot outside the building but still there is way to much traffic, turns out this is the day her life is about to change.
She meets Sam Danmore the sexy actor, but she knows him better as man whore or so she believes him to be, he is on the run and ends up in Natalie's car then her apartment hiding out, this is the worst situation Natalie could find herself in, God if her Dad were to find out or even worse the press, she could kiss goodbye to her partnership. It turns out Natalie already knows Sam from a long time ago, when she was about 15 years old and has hated him since that day. Lucky for me I know what happens next, sorry not spoiling this read for you so I definitely recommend you read Over-Exposed, I will say it is a great read filled with hot sex scenes and a great story. Did Natalie get her partnership?, Did she deal with her kink?, What happen with Sam?, What happen between her and Sam?, Ooops you best read to find out. Thank you Julie Jaret for another great read and I'm over the moon with the ending.

4 Non Law Abiding Sexy Stars

Natalie has her life all planned out. She is working for her father's law firm. She know what she wants and she plans on getting it. She wants to become the next partner at her father's firm! Natalie is focused, she has basically given up on her social life and she does not have time for a man.

Sam is a famous handsome man whore actor.

These two couldn't any further opposite of each other if they tired.
On one strange encounter, Sam lands himself naked in Natalie's car begging her for help.

When given an opportunity can this straight laced, well manicured, career oriented woman throw caution to the wind and make choices that go against everything she has been building for the past 10 years?

What is it about Sam? How does he draw out the most inner desires that Natalie has suppressed in order to achieve her goals. Can Sam get through and get Natalie to acknowledge her desires and embrace them with him as her guide.

What we find is a sexy fun titillating ride of self awareness and sexual satisfaction. Will Natalie be able to let her inhibitions go and accept what and who she is? Can Sam help her achieve this new awareness.
Julie Jaret has written a wonderful story about finding out what is really important to one self.

She challenges the characters to find within themselves what they truly desire and need to achieve their sexual and personal satisfaction.

I promise once you start this book it will hard to put it down.

Great concept, but.....

Natalie Simmons biggest goal in life is to make partner at her fathers law firm and win his respect. This goal is threatened who famous actor Sam Danmore jumps into the back of her car and forces his way into her life.

What I liked about the story:

1. Sam. His character was funny and endearing, even if a bit cocky.
2. The sex scenes were really well written. Super hot.

What I didn't like:

1. There was a lot of talk and build up to the "big betrayal" which wound up being basically that the famous guy didn't fall madly in love with the college student at first sight. That is not a betrayal, that's reality. There was just way too much build up.

2.The constant use of the phrase attention whore was annoying. It felt like it was used a 1000 times.

3.There was a lot of talk and focus about how tight her schedule was and how stressed she was about billable hours and then when they started sleeping together all of a sudden nothing was said. Although at the end of the story she throws out that she was doing a lot of work at home.

4.Peen. Really? This one is purely an opinion thing but it makes me think of a 13 year old girl trying to be cool.

5.While the confrontation with her parents at the end could have been cool it felt rushed and unbelievable.

While this wasn't really the book for me and I only liked the other one a little bit better I think that this author is fully capable of writing a really great book and I will still be keeping an eye on her.

While book #1 in this series was quite realistic, book #2 bordered more on the unrealistic, but a girl can dream right ;)

Natalie has spent the last 10 years trying to impress her father and gain his approval so that he would make her a partner at his law firm. She works crazy hours and has zero social life, so when her life is suddenly turned upside by Hollywood bad boy Sam Danmore she doesn't quite know what to do. The fact that she had a teenage crush on him only to have her heart trampled on makes her hate him all the more when he intrudes on her life.

While his reputation as a man whore precedes him, Natalie soon discovers that the man who the rest of the world sees is not the man who she's spending so much time with. The growing sexual tension between the two slowly builds until it can't be contained anymore and passion erupts between the two. There is a scene in the book that mentions Orgasmic Meditation which I thought was a clever invention by the author, but it's actually a real meditation technique (I googled it....lol) and trust me the scene was HOT!!!

The struggle Natalie & Sam face when their time together comes to an end is how they go forward. Does life return to normal for the unlikely pair or do they both decide that what they've been striving towards isn't what they actually want.

The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are...

A Naked Celebrity, A High Power Attorney and A Car Jacking. Not Your Run of The Mill Love Story.

I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Natalie Simmons is a tough as nails business woman. She works for her father, and no matter how hard she works or how high her commissions are in the successful law firm. She has no time for romantic entanglements. She also has no time for the movie being filmed on the same block as her firm, that causes traffic making her late for a meeting. What makes her even later is when she is car-jacked by the sexy leading man, who happens to be naked.

Sam Danmore is a Hollywood heart throb. He is known to be a ladies man, and has a reputation for taking things too far with people that are off limits. When he is falsely accused of a heinous crime on the set of his latest movie, he flees the scene naked, and makes his escape in an unwilling Natalie’s car.

This book is fast paced and fun. Natalie is a strong woman overall. Her relationship with her father is somewhat sad, as well as how she acts with him compared with the other characters in the book. Sam is likable and you want the two of them to get their happily ever after. A recommended read!

Over exposed is a cute story about a woman named Natalie that worked her tail off to make it in her father's law firm. Making partner not only would boost her confidence and help her achieve all she set out to do since her teenage years, but it might also help her win back respect from her disapproving father. Everything was working according to plan too until Sam, the drool worthy actor that was in town shooting a movie, jumped into the back seat of her car butt-naked carjacking her in a sense. He was being falsely accused of statutory rape by a minor.

Sam ended up staying for a few weeks with Natalie as he slowly broke down her walls showing her as he got comfortable around her that he intact was not 'Sam the man whore' as he portrayed himself to be in the media. This was a book about two people who found that they both needed to find the courage to be who they truly were so that they could be true to themselves. I will warn you that the sex scenes were hot and will make you a bit jealous. I love what Julie Jaret did with this story and cannot wait to see what she will come up with next.

Natalie Simmons life has been focused on one thing since college: earning a partnership at her father's law firm. Aside from her daily workouts and the occasional get-together with her best friend, Natalie eat, sleeps, and breathes law. Which is a far cry from her earlier days where her focus was movie idol Sam Danmore, before he broke her heart and put her on her current path.

But her life changes in the blink of an eye when, while pulling into the parking garage at her office, none other than San Danmore jumps into the back of her car, naked, forcing her to hide him away from the media until a sex scandal he's innocent of blows over.

While forced together, Natalie learns Sam's public persona isn't necessarily who he is. And she learns that maybe all she's been working for isn't what she necessarily wants.

This book is full of wit, charm, and amazingly hot sex (seriously - that gym scene had me fanning my face and gulping down a glass of ice water). Julie Jaret has incredible talent and I highly recommend the Perspectives series to anyone looking for some good, naughty fun!

Reviewing on behalf of Relentless Book Chic Ramblings and Reviews

A great, fun and short read with really hot sex.
What do you do when your teenage pin-up jumps naked into the back of your car and holds you at gun point? You take him home of course!

Natalie has a stressful job working in her father’s law firm. She’s competing against Jeff(I wanted to strangle him!) for partnership and doesn’t need any more stress in her life but then along comes Sam.

The movie star is on the run and needs somewhere to hide out and Natalie finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time as he jumps into her car in the car park and demands she takes him home. What choice does she have, either hide him or risk a media frenzy?

What follows are some hilarious and heart-warming moments as Natalie discovers that the Sam she thought she knew is very different from the real Sam that she gets to know away from the public eye.

This is the first book I’ve read of Julie’s but I’d definitely read more of her work.
